" Lilith gave a nod of agreement at his suggestion that they not hurt themselves. It didn't stop her gaze from wandering to the bowl that no longer had a flame because she'd gotten too close. Her mind wandered to powers in general and to the government wanting them here up until he addressed her."Of course.
"Huhmm? I guess I do." Lilith smiled, trying to seem like she was paying more attention than she had been previously. "I learned when I was ten. I'm pretty sure we were still learning things like states of matter back then so I practiced it. It's different for every poison I create, so sometimes it takes a while to figure out." She remembered learning about it in school, then practicing her power with newfound fascination with the new concept. It was so interesting when she could apply real life principles to something that seemed so unearthly, like powers. She'd thought she was normal like most of the population for most of her life, and now... Lilith shook her head, trying to remind herself to focus.
"What're you doing?" Lilith's eyes widened in surprise when he touched the liquid. She moved again, this time closer to him so she could react if something bad happened.
"Awesome?" Lilith muttered, her expression mildly grumpy now. "Be careful." When he identified it, Lilith gazed at the metal in the dish, trying to give no indication that she didn't know that before he said so. She'd definitely try to remember it so she could do her own research now. Then again, research was so boring that it was probable she'd 'forget'. When he began swaying, Lilith reached out a hand to rest on his back in an attempt to keep him in place.
"I don't chase monsters normally. There were sounds that kept me up so I wanted to come down here to see. It's everyone else that says there are monsters and that I need to be careful." Lilith shrugged in explanation. Before coming to the school she didn't believe in them, and even now, she wasn't entirely convinced about them. But it was possible, so she had went to check. It was something to do, some action to take that would help her feel better about the situation and especially about attending a new school.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
