The deaf boy grinned, pushing away his feelings of sadness the last time that night. Of course skinny dipping in the waters would be weird, but Vik would argue that there's less issue with what was in the water than there was with the people on the island. "I think something like a shark would attack you whether or not you were wearing clothes - I'd personally be more concerned about other people coming along and deciding to go for a naked swim, too." His eyes grew warmer as the conversation naturally changed, before he slowly shook his head and chuckled. "It'd be like that scene in Mulan, except without the dragon-dude to save you by biting some guy's ass," Vik pointed out, speaking more fluently as the smirk on his face grew even more. He even raised an eyebrow as he contemplated how the whole situation would've played out if Vik had been the one going for a swim, before shifting his position once more. His whole body language changed in an instant, and he slouched over and let a yawn come on. He felt like he'd just been hit with a truck, suddenly becoming very tired as the conversation died down a little. He rubbed his eyes subconsciously, mind scrambling a little as he tried to get his bearings.
Vik wouldn't pretend that he hadn't achieved his goal by taking a walk in the dark: he'd relaxed a lot and even just talking about his problems had subconsciously helped him. Maybe he'd go for more late-night explorations. Maybe he'd come across the boy again if he did. Vik wouldn't mind that at all. He was one of the few people he'd gotten along with, and the deaf boy didn't want to throw that away so quickly. But, light was beginning to spread and Vik was starting to show more obvious signs of fatigue ranging from a slight swaying in his stance to a few unwelcome yawns. He pulled out his phone to check the time, and flinched a little as he saw it. The early birds would be waking up soon - he might want to go back and kick Marcus out of the room so he could get to sleep. It was lucky he didn't have any classes that day, or he might just pass out in the middle of a lecture.
Shamefully, Vik rubbed his eyes once more before he looked at Zach in the eyes, perhaps for one of the first times that night that he wasn't just staring at his lips. "I might need to start heading back. I think I've been shoved out of my own room for too long," he shrugged, but both his movements and language were a little more sluggish than they had been at the start of their meeting. "I hope ya wouldn't mind if I dipped?" he murmured politely, eyes now back down at the other boy's lips. He didn't make eye contact with people very often, and he was surprised at how uncomfortable it made him feel to do it. Vik bit his lip, zoning out a little before he realized exactly what was going on. "I mean, uh, it was really nice to meet you, Zach..." he was interrupted by small yawn, but he was determined to finish, "I've just gotten really tired all of the sudden, and I need to get back to sleep at some point or my schedule's gonna be messed up," he said, trying to stay focused for the entirety of the sentence. It was odd how his sudden tiredness had occurred: he'd only been violently upset a few minutes ago and now he felt about ready to nap on the next rock he came across.
