It all started as a typical day. Ada was in her room, music blaring as per usual, relaxing. This meant watching horror movies -some so terrible they turned into comedies- and hanging upside down off the end of her bed playing video games. There were no classes and she could monitor her lab remotely so she was planning to just stay in her room like a recluse and be antisocial. This was good for her; she had no stupidity to deal with or anyone to get on her nerves. And then it all went downhill from there.
It was around noon when the envelope was slipped under door, her catching the movement out of the corner of her vision, drawing her eyes away from the t.v where some girl was running -and tripping- from the psycho killer. What...? She pushed herself off her bed, walking over and opening the door to demand what it was but no one was in sight. "This better be good..." She plucked the envelope off the floor and kicked her door shut, opening the thing. She read it quickly to herself, eyes roving along the page. ".....Oh hell no." The letter said, in no uncertain terms, she was now assigned to Felicia Blackwood's team....with that Degrandpe moron. This was not okay. There was no way in hell she was gonna deal with both of them. No. Just no. It wasn't gonna happen. She was going to talk to someone or do something to get her team changed. It just simply couldn't happen. She wasn't going to listen to the snob and deal with the ogre at the same time. There was no way.
What did she do to deserve this in the first place? She thought her karma was good, dammit! Sure, her new "commander" and her sort of got into a quote unquote fight and she kicked the ogre out of her lab but still! She didn't kill anybody or draw blood. Unless you counted her being the indirect cause of Degrandpe's guns blowing up in his hands....nope that didn't count. Right? It couldn't have. It was his own stupid fault, he was the one who let himself get so stressed out.
She was grumbling and growling under her breath as she stormed out of her room and out of the girls' dorms, intending to get some schmuck in the office to listen to her. She didn't care what team she was on, just as long as it wasn't with those two.
