"You, sir, are mistaken. I may favor their side, but I haven't approached them or anything. I'd rather avoid combat if at all possible, though I can handle myself if push comes to shove," the girl stated nonchalantly. Her powers always made her observant of the tension around her, she could tell that at first glance on most occasions. It wasn't like she was oblivious, it was kind of impossible for her to. Whether or not it was a blessing or a curse was left up to an individuals view on it, she personally was neutral on that side of her powers, though they had kept her out of trouble more than once.

"It's just hard for me not to notice tensions. I figure it's between the two major groups since I don't see it in everyone." She didn't want anyone actually knowing she was a part of the group. There were too many what ifs, so if she could lay any seed of doubt in the boys mind that was all she needed to do. She wasn't sure if the Prefects had mind readers anymore, after all. Then again, was anything on the island ever really certain? It was an island full of powered teens after all.

"Just...be careful. I've seen a few Prefects end up being targeted and I'd rather not see anyone else harmed by someone being a radical. I mean, radical anything end up being hated for a reason."

"Is that so?" No surprise shown at his words. Though he knew that didn't always mean he was right and the person's words were calmly rehearsed but could also simply be the reaction of a confident neutral. Though war taught him many things when it came to hidden loyalties so his skepticism remained. Not that it really mattered to him in the long run. Not only was this not a time of conflict but he knew even if he had been right he would have avoided her in a fight anyway. He stuck to his experience and he had no such experience fighting a woman. They could be far craftier than men and fierce.

"Either way.. that's your own story to write. I'm remaining out of it." He gave a tranquil grin and straightened up tilting his head from side to side to stretch the muscles in his neck. He glanced at her and raised an eyebrow at her voice of concern. Not being about to suppress a chuckle at her choice of words.

"Believe me miss, I've dealt with my share of radicals. I'm no fan of them from either side, and I know how to deal with them. Superhuman or not." The thought of others having unpredictable powers did put him off a little. He missed the time when it was simply normal humans. Predictable and easy to read like a book. But now any kid here could potentially turn into a fire-breathing dragon suddenly and quite literally, now that he did not much like. Especially when his own powers were so focused on recon and hand-to-hand. More than once he wondered what would happen should he ever fight a manipulator. Dodging and mind-warfare. All he would have left.

"Honestly someone of your age shouldn't be so concerned with such things. You should focus on studying and get out while you can, maybe have some fun while you can too." He smiled and adjusted the cloth band around his wrist subconsciously. He knew she was physically around his age, if not maybe a year or two younger, but as far as mental age he was far older in the way of the world. Even if this one wasn't as contently oblivious as normal people her age.

"Study and get out? From what I hear we're sold off to the highest bidder." she stated with a sigh, rubbing her forehead a few times before leaning back a little, looking up towards the sky. She silently noted the positioning of the storm clouds she saw in the distance, half wanting to get out of there now. She didn't need him questioning her about it though, she felt that being scared of lighting was weak, especially how strong her fear was. Then again, wouldn't anyone be scared of something they were indirectly hit by? She was lucky she hadn't received any scars from the incident, but that didn't matter. She glanced back at the boy, wondering how his world before the island had even been.

He seemed well versed in the ways of the world and was obviously around the same age as herself. She wondered what he had been through exactly, but that wasn't something she needed to know. If he wanted to tell her he'd have told her already. "Honestly, what's fun for me is entertaining people. Kinda can't do that while I'm stuck here can I?" She hops op to her feet lightly, rolling back on her heels a bit as she looks up towards the sky, a small smile playing across her lips.

"I guess I'm like my father int hat regard, prefer the happiness of others over my own. Call me odd if you'd like, but seeing other's happy makes everything worth it for me in the end."
