Where to Begin (Bridget)

"You're right, I'm not sorry. That's why I only apologized." Oh logic, how you serve your master well. There was a difference between being sorry and apologizing and Zane took full advantage of that fact to form his sentences accordingly. Not that he was an evil mastermind. No, he wouldn't go nearly that far, just a highschooler trying to get through on his own.

Okay now she was just messing with him... aaand it was working. The crimson stayed fast across his features despite efforts to keep it under control. Reverting back to old habits since she was just doing it on purpose now Zane covered most of his face with his hand while looking down to try and avoid Bridget's gaze. The action most likely made it blatantly obvious he was just getting worst, but he didn't care; He was happy. The grin, barely even visible to anyone who may have been searching for it, told of that small fact.

It wasn't really a question of if he minded teaching Bridget the art of dart-throwing or not. His peculiar method of going about doing was just a think that Zane could only picture the sightless getting a handle of. By instinct she would probably start trying to judge by eyes sight because it was available, that would cause mistakes and he didn't want to tell her something that wouldn't be too high on the success chart. "Guess you could try throwing a little straighter, no?" Not to mention he could totally seeing her putting all the blame for any holes she managed to put in the wall had she got caught or suspected of the crime. He might trust her with his existence, but he reputation he could care just a smudge less for.

Laughing at the completely absurd thought she shared, Zane tried to stay quiet but could. "Tackle?" No, I wouldn't do something quite that drastic. "You'll just have to wait and see. Oh, and it wouldn't be a bluff either, something will definitely go down and it shall be amazing." Mhmm, totally and utterly amazing hadn't thought of it yet but that would so be it.

Zane didn't know how right he was. Something was about to happen...but it wouldn't be amazing, at least...not to them. A cruel smile crept up onto Calista's face. Her normally dark blue eyes were pitch black in color and empty and her shirt was still blood stained from Kazuma's beating. To please her new master, she needed to find others to take with her. So she had concluded that she and Seth should split up in order to cover more ground.

She crept silently through the girls dormitories....any of these girls would make excellent targets but, there was one in particular she was after. This girl....her brother had told her about his experiment on her once....that he flirted with her. So, now..she wanted to see the girl who received such attention from him.

Naturally, with her knowledge from the prefects, she knew which dorm the girl would be in. What she didn't expect was to find the door open. A small smirk worked it's way up onto her lips as she pushed it open.

"Oh...what's this...a boy in your room? I should report you...but...I have other plans..." This got better and better! Not only was she there, but the boy...that boy who had caused such stress inside her brother was there too! With a smirk, she locked the door behind her, her whip forming in her hand.

"Let's make this easy...okay?"

Shaking her head she caught onto what he meant. "Right." Still she smiled a bit, that had been pretty smart. Bridget knew of multiple people who would get tripped up on that. Ah well what were you gonna do? But back to her messing with him. It was defiantly working by the deepening shade of red. Not to mention now he covered up his face and looking down. She grinned him, he was so easy. Taking a stop closer she wrapped her arms around him for a quick hug. "You're cute when you're embarrassed did you know that?" She laughed and after a moment let go. "You really shouldn't be embarrassed about your skills though." She said thoughtfully turning eying up the board.

She wasn't exactly sure if he could teach her. After all he played and used his senses a little differently then she did. But the responds she got caused one reaction. Her sticking her tongue out at him. "Easier said then done for me i'm afraid." She muttered throwing one of the two darts she held in her hand. Whatever.. maybe she could barrow this more often and practice. Then perhaps the pair could have an actual game of darts some day. Ha... yeah she could never compete with him.

Okay yeah it was a little funny. Since you know he could never quiet be sure it was her he was tackling... Still it was the first picture that had popped into her head and she was sticking to it. She shrugged off his question as it didn't need an actual answer. "But i wanna know!" She joked nudging his arm. " I can believe you doing something like that." She said rolling her eyes. Her mood was pretty good right now. Happy, calm, all around good. That was until someone walked threw her door.

"There's a thing called knocking." She said rather sourly turning to the girl who had walked in. But any other sarcastic comment she had was erased looking at the girl. Eyes pitch black with a cruel smile to match going along with the bloody shirt rather well. Every fiber in Bridget's being screamed trouble. But she stood her ground crossing her arms and glaring at the girl. yes she knew how to keep calm when things turned ugly, it happened to often for her not to. Her eyes flashed to the door, locked, no issue if she could get over there. The whip in her hand was another issue. "Hell no. Get your bloody ass out of my room." She said cold glare and voice filled with cold anger.

She had seen this girl around but never like this. Something was seriously jacked up. Feeling threatened Bridget's first reaction was to fight but with her.. maybe it wasn't a good idea. So she wasn't going to get violent unless the girl did first. Besides all her classed were in self defensive, she was better at that then dishing out the first attack. Even though she could get pretty nasty when she wanted.

Downgrading to a slight twitch when arms flung themselves around him for a quick hug, he found himself actually starting become use to Bridget's impulsive touches. Still! There was no way Zane was about to answer her completely rhetorical question this time. At least he hoped it was rhetorical cause if it wasn't Bridget would have to be disappointed trying to wait for an answer that wouldn't come. Besides, she had the wrong idea.. He wasn't embarrassed about his skills, lots of people had been in awe of them before, he was embarrassed that it was it was her complimenting him. Girls...

Everything was easier said then done. Hadn't Zane mentioned it'd taken him years to put the fine tunings on his throwing skills? Eh, what can ya do, some things just take time. He merely shrugged at her disbelief. Whatever she was imagining him doing probably wouldn't be something he'd do if she couldn't see him doing it. Although tackling her sounded fairly easy, he could single her out by the sound of her voice without trouble, but she'd probably throw him over her shoulder or something without meaning to. Hah, he wouldn't do anything so extreme.

They were having such a good time Zane didn't register the emotions of the person stalking towards the room until it was too late. It wasn't a human that barged through the only entrance and exit, no, it was some dark manor of creature. Turning to face the thing he was too shocked at its existence to say anything during the brief time as Bridget confronted it, challenged it even. Just like there weren't many things he liked, there weren't many things Zane disliked either, but this... this twisted desire he was feeling from it was even more disgusting than fear. "Bridget.. hand me the darts would ya?" It was completely unnatural and he formed an automatic detest for the dark passion.

The voice though.. he'd... heard it somewhere before. In the hall, with McCoy and Seth, that other girl.. "Calista." Zane growled slowly, surprising even himself with the amount of hatred he put behind the word. Though Bridget would be the better fighter of the two, he stepped protectively in front of her, casting a death-glare where he heard Calista speaking. There was a purpose for her visit here, he could feel it, she hadn't come on some silly rumor, her intentions were violent if the need was raised. "What the fuck happened to you? Make what easy? What have you come here for?" This evil feeling had Zane on edge -the girl had seemed a bit mean and violent before, but this was totally different- he wanted answers to why Calista was in such a state.

Calista did something that was unusual for her...even if she was insane at the current moment in time. She giggled. An actual giggle. They thought they could stop her! It was cute really. But, no matter what, she'd fulfill the mission she was given. With a wry smirk, she glanced at Zane.

"Oh! So you remember me~ I remember you quite well. The boy who got my dearest brother so worked up.....I know you too..." She said as she cast her gaze towards Bridget. "He told me about you....his little experiment...." She said, as her body began to slip into a fighting position.

"It's simple really~ My master did this~ He simply brought out the deeper me. I have to repay him somehow! If I do this...then me and Seth will be together...forever." She said with the faintest of smiles. The Calista Zane had met before was long gone. Lost in this new beings madness and delusions.

"Basically...you two will be presents for him! Those rumors...about the monster? They're quite true you know~" She said with a twisted laugh. "Like I said....I don't want to hurt you too much." But she would. She definitely would. Afterall...these two meant little to her.....it was almost a pity that Kazuma wanted them alive...

Isn't it funny how something so good could turn do bad in just a matter of seconds? Having a great time with Zane. Trading him, causing his face to turn bright red, his amazing and her failed attempts at darts, and even the promise of getting attacked randomly. All good but as soon as that door opened... It all went down hill. And she wasn't sure about anything at the moment and with the trouble hanging over head that probably worried her the most. 

She didn't take her eyes off of Cali as she handed Zane the rest of the darts, he had four since on was in the board as she wasn't going to get that one at the current moment. Since he was an amazing shot, Bridget guessed better if the target made noise she felt a bit better now that he had some sort of defense. Even if it was just four darts. Then she.. Giggled? Okay that just sounded demented. What was wrong with her? But apparently e was the girl Zane stole and that meant Seth was her brother since he conducted the only experiment she had taken part in. 

It was nice how Zane stood in front of her, protection but she was going to fight. It was a gut feeling so she came to stand side by side with him as she slid into a fighting stance. Master? she questioned calmly uncrossing her arms and moving into her own stance. "Someone has separation issues.." she said quietly. Kidnappings on the beach.. Shit they came to the school. she though sorely. Yes she believed some twisted monster did this to Cali. There was the threat Bridget had been waiting for.. She threatened to hurt them, no doubt she would too. "Like I said get your ass out of my room." she growled at the other girl. Still she refrained from going after her. Not until Cali moved first. "Zane she has a shadow whip... Be careful." she said voice low eyes watching her.

Ugh, that giggle. That mix between sadistic pleasure and hysteria was giving him goosebumps. It was wrong, everything he felt from her wasn't suppose to be like this, who would mess with a person this much? Mind controlled was possible but it shouldn't affect her on an emotional level, her whole personality was being disrupted. Did she even have any conscious of what she was doing? He excepted the darts from Bridget wordlessly.. so few darts and yet .. so many questions...

"Ex..periment?" Zane questioned, narrowing his eyes at Calista, but not daring to take them off her to address Bridget. When the word experiment came to mind he thought of a white lab and table with the victim strapped down being ready to be injected with some strange liquid in a syringe. Or perhaps being stuffed in a cage being fed strange things and put through exhausting trial situations to see the effects. He could so see Seth doing that, but couldn't fathom Bridget allowing it to happen or going along in any way. Then again he doubted the school had any sort of rooms secret or otherwise even if this was a government operation.

The next statements brought up even more questions than they answered. Zane had heard of the rumors about students disappearing on the beach, but they were.. true? It wasn't just some hoax thought up by some random punks to scare everyone a little? Not to mention the fact that she had a master who wanted people delivered like packages. "You? A servant? I wouldn't have taken you for the obedient type." Calista had gotten furious at him just for dragging her away, he couldn't imagine her being a disgraceful underling of a monster.

Had he not have to go under the torture of constantly feeling Calista's poisonous insanity Zane might have grinned when he felt Bridget stand by his side. He hadn't particularly been thinking when he made that move in front of her, this position was much more preferred. "You noticed that too huh?" good to know they could still joke around before a fight against a girl who was taken under the control of some mysterious master.

The whip thing though. That could be a problem. Zane wasn't sure if he would get sucked into Calista's madness if he reached out to try and manipulate her demonic nature so she could attack from a distance with that but he'd have nothing on her unless he wanted to take that risk. Would it be worth it to try and keep her from capturing Bridget? ... .. . Well duh. "No promises." Taking hold of the girl's twisted emotions Zane tried to dominate over them and cause her to become purely confused before throwing one of the scarce darts where he'd last heard her voice.
He'd made the first move.

"Oh...that's not all I have up my sleeve." Her other hand began to glow with poison. Servant? She guessed so. Though, Kazuma had referred to her as his dog, oh well. Calista gave a smile. "You wouldn't believe what's possible when given the right...motivation." Eternity. That's what she was promised. To live without prefects, without the battle front, without Ashford! Just her and Seth...and all she had to do was follow his every order to a T, hoping that he didn't try and kill them when they were done.

Suddenly, fog began to fill Calista's mind and not the black fog already embedded into her system. It caused a dizzy haze that only further confused her distressed mind. The dark, empty eyes began to shift to their natural blue color again as Zane's powers caused the other emotions, intensified by Kazuma's influence, to back down.

"W-what's going on?" Her voice began to lose that edge. That pure madness in it, that is. Until the dart hit her. Immediately, at the site of the fresh blood from where the dart had pierced her upper arm, another sadistic smile corrupted Calista's pretty feature. How pretty it was, the scarlet lines against her snow-white skin...

She giggled and looked up at them, the power of corruption beginning to overwhelm Zane's hold on her. "Is that all you've got?" Pulling her arm back, in one slick motion she aimed the whip, lashing it out at Zane's chest. Now the fun began.

She sighed quietly as Zane questioned further on the 'experiment'. It was just some thing in the past that meant nothing. "Seth tried to flirt with me... it didn't really go as planned." She said in a rushed and low tone. Though she only kept her voice down for that speck of fear that Cali would flip at her choice of words or some other crap like that. Bridget really hoped he didn't get all worked up over it, for one it would be bad timing and for another reason it really had been nothing...

Then her focus was drawn from her possible relationship drama to the glowing of her hand. Okay so she had some other dangerous power to kill them with. Why the hell not? The girl simply wished she knew what it was so that she had some sort of safe guard against it. Then something seemed to be happening. Something under the surface that one such as Bridget would never be able to understand fully since she didn't understand emotions like Zane and it wasn't happening to her. Being pulled out of madness... or at least that what she hoped was going on.

At first it seemed to be working. Her eye color changing back to a more normal blue instead of the darkness and then she spoke voice with lessened madness. She breathed a sigh of relief thinking that this could work but she didn't move from her stance. God knows they weren't out of the woods yet. When Zane through the dart she hadn't exactly been thinking of it but that smile came back almost eminently after.

That damn giggle again...Then she pulled back the black shadow raising up before coming down in a quick swipe. Reacting to fast for a world her arms came around Zane's waist and shoved him backwards to avoid the strike. But that didn't prevent it from slicing cleanly into the back of her neck and across her shoulder. Shit that was going to hurt in the morning. Wait never mind that it hurt now, but instead of crying out in pain like most she sucked in a sharp breath and turned on Cali. As she lunged at the girl she felt a warm trickle of blood go down her back. If anything was going to go well Bridget needed to get close, she was way better with close combat plus she might be able to do some damage if she could get into the right position.

Raising an eyebrow, Zane didn't even bother to question Bridget's strange choice in men. Mainly because he was one of the strange ones, and partly because he didn't really care who she flirted with as long as she came back to him and he wasn't around to hear it. That... may sound a little bit like he was okay with sharing, but he wasn't, he just wasn't the type to get overly jealous. Even if he was, now was so not the time to get in some kind of quarrel, there was an insane creature wanting to drag them off somewhere to be dealt with.

The only motive he had for causing Calista confusion was so that she wouldn't dodge the dart in time, he hadn't expected any 'sane' feedback from the girl. For a time, he could feel the sour desires in her being subdued, an actual sentence that didn't have to do with their demise falling from her lips. Unfortunately that wasn't meant to last. When the dart hit with a subtle thud, the girl started regressing back into a demon- whoops. The deranged giggling grated on his sensitive ears, its malice making him shudder involuntarily. Damn, he wished she'd stop that.

Though he was about to counter with some smart-ass remark when asked if that was all he had, the thought fled as he was basically tackled to the ground. Zane clung to his connection with Calista through the rough treatment, and was surprised when it actually held, as if the other end were clinging to him as well, possibly seeking control over him the way he did over it. But that was silly, emotions didn't try and take people over... right?

In the back of his mind, Zane noted Bridget's sudden intake of breath, but she left his tumbled form on the ground far too quickly for him to assess the damage. There was nothing he could do while she flitted off into close-combat since he wouldn't be able to tell if she was in his... line of sight.. so to speak, and if he entered the hand-to-hand fight he'd probably get in the way. At least he wasn't totally useless with his connection still in tact. Getting back on his feet, Zane refocused his attention on his tie to Calista.

It felt... tainted, somehow, but it was there and that was all that mattered to him at the time. Groping for a stronger emotion than Confusion, he recalled the recent subject of the girl's intense love for her brother and tried grasping that to pull to the front. That was probably the worst mistake he could have made, as the source of the corruption, it would be the strongest and have the best choice of overpowering him.

Any sanity that may have been apparent in Calista was now completely gone. Driven out by her mad giggles and twisted desires. Blood was such a pretty thing, wasn't it? Especially against her snow white skin. Kazuma had showed her that! He seemed to think her to prettier with the blood stained on her. Now she understood!

What Calista didn't understand, however, was why would her brother choose this girl of all people for one of his experiments? Was that his type, perhaps? She couldn't understand what he saw in the girl but no matter! They would make great presents to her master either way! The malicious Cheshire grin only expanded as her whip sliced at Bridget's flesh. She had been aiming for Zane....he would be one of the easier targets afterall...but this was even better! Who knew...maybe if she wounded Bridget enough the other would go quietly. All she had to do was come up with some speech....some little ruse...'if you go I'll stop hurting her' or some other nonsense like that.

Bridget had made the bad decision of deciding to launch at her. Unfortunately, her whip was faster. Calista snapped the tendril of darkness at her feet, intending to trip her.

All the giggles were driving Bridget up a wall. Really she just couldn't understand how someone could be so completely gone. Brainwashing? She hadn't really thought about it before but man it made so much sense at the moment. The launch was well... it didn't really work as her whip wrapped around her ankle slicing through the flesh and tripping her but the moment didn't stop as she fell forward and making it almost into a somersault. Yanking off the shadow whip with her hand she stood up a little unsteady from the sudden stinging from her foot.

"Damn you." She growled, but she was closer now. Close enough to get a punch in. Curling her right hand into a fist she made a movement to punch but at the last moment switched it to a kick aimed for the back of her legs. "Zane!" She called, "Walk forward and get out!" Oh yes she was aware that there was less then a one percent chance that he would listen to her at this moment. But sad to say he was a slight distraction and well a weakness. Bridget would not let him get hurt and that gave way for a point of attack. And if Calista didn't already figure that out she was bound to soon.

She glanced away for a moment, knowing there wasn't much to do if she didn't hit Calista. She would be thrown off balance but wouldn't be down for the count. 'Please,' She thought looking at him before turning back to the dark hair girl she was about to land a blow on. Gosh she couldn't even imagine what Zane was going through. With Calista's screwed up emotions and just... well craziness and now Bridget's pain, anger, and worry. She was fairly glad she didn't have the power to sense emotions but she also worried if it was going to seriously hurt him.
