There was once a man who thought he could rule the world. He rose to power and slowly seeped his power to everywhere else. Nobody could go against him and his army. He was an unstoppable tyrannical force pretty much. He knew this too. He became mad with power and so when one of the lead scientists told him that a meteor was hurtling towards earth he ignored them. Some information leaked about this and a couple of people got underground and survived the impact, which did come, wiping out every place except for one very large city for some reason. It was later found out to be a person with supernatural gifts that saved the city and once they came forward many others did too. There were so many people with powers it was unreal.
After a while the people who had been hiding underground came up and realized that one city was still standing, they tried to get in, but people quickly realized the city would get too crowded, so they cast out the people who weren't famous, rich, or didn't have powers. These people had to fend for themselves and many died within the first few months. Eventually though the government made a refugee camp as in to say sorry to these people, but they still didn't let them back in, and even build a fence around the city.
Eventually this camp became a town and people got angrier and angrier at the living conditions. So a group of people made up the Rising. This was a group made to combat the government and gains equal rights for everybody. This became the normal way of life. The Rising fighting the government and the government keeping everybody out of the city. People with powers are all but natural these days and it is pretty common to have one or two powers. Tension is everywhere and death is common. Keep calm or you might be the next casualty.----------------------------------------------
