Power: Aura Manipulation
Camila has the ability to manipulate her own spiritual energy that is created by physical, mental, and spiritual focus and training. The manipulation only applies to herself, meaning that she cannot see or manipulate the aura of others. There are 7 auras that are involved in this ability and each has a specific control or something it represents. Red is physical nature, orange is the emotional nature, yellow is motivation and self-empowerment, green represents healing, blue concerns knowledge, indigo involves communication with others, and violet is an understanding of “the power within”. In order to manipulate the auras, she must be in control of her emotion. The two auras she has a handle on are yellow and green.
Camila can use her yellow aura to create spheres of varying sizes. The size of the sphere depends on the level of concentration she has. For example, if she is in the middle of a battle, the spheres she attacks with will most likely be smaller because she cannot focus all of her energy at one time. If she is able to concentrate long enough, she will be able to create a sphere as big as herself. The smaller spheres have less of a chance of doing damage and more of a possibility of tripping an opponent. A bigger sphere could be used to do some damage, but it would not kill the opponent. More likely than not, the larger sphere could be used to knock an opponent into a wall or onto the ground, allowing the impact to cause the damage, not the sphere itself. The opponent might have a bruise where the large sphere made impact, but it will not likely be lethal. A spam of little spheres with drain Camila's energy within reason, but a bigger sphere will cause a lot of energy depletion, which will result in a headache, dizziness, and a possibility of a blackout.
Camila can also use her yellow aura to create constructs, though they are very limited at the moment. If she does not picture a specific construct she wishes to create, it will automatically become a stapler. Why this is still defines all reason, but she has learned to not question it. Common ones she utilizes are whips, daggers, and rope. They all cause the same physical damage that they would if they were the real object. (i.e., if she stabbed someone with an aura dagger, they would bleed). She can only control these constructs when they are in her hand. If she drops them, the object will disappear and she cannot pick it back up because she will get shocked. Usually, she prefers to keep her constructs small, because creating anything larger than herself would drain her of a majority of her energy.
Camila also wields the green aura, which can heal wounds. Again, her level of concentration an important factor in how fast or slow she heals wounds. Superficial wounds and first degree burns are simple and easy to heal, and she only needs a few minutes to do so. Deeper wounds, though, are a different story. If she can concentrate hard enough, she can heal deep gashes in a matter of minutes; however, if her attention is divided, deep wounds cannot be healed as quickly and might even take hours to heal. She can also heal second degree burns, but it takes extra energy and effort because the aura has to completely penetrate the epidermis to reach the dermis, where there is also burned tissue. There are some things that she cannot heal, however. Third degree burns are impossible for her to heal, seeing as it would sap all of her energy, just to get to the deepest layers of skin (and possibly other tissue). She cannot put broken bones back together; all she can do is make a splint for the person until they can find help. She cannot heal stab wounds or bullet wounds if the projectiles are still lodged in the tissue. Camila's energy depletion is proportional to how much healing she does, based on her concentration level. Healing for hours on end results in headaches, weakness, dizziness, and even a blackout, if she is not careful. Most importantly, though, her green aura does not work on her own wounds, meaning that she cannot heal herself. It would be pointless to do so since she is spending her energy, only for it to be ineffective.
Member Group: Battle Front
Canon or not: Not
Appearance:
Camila has fair, almost porcelain coloured skin that can easily burn if she stays in the sun for too long. She is fortunate enough to not have very much acne on her face, though she has a few scars on her face from getting rid of unsightly pimples or zits in the past. She has a scar on her left upper arm from a burned she sustained during a large battle between the prefects and the Battle Front. She also has a scar from where she received stitches to close a gunshot wound from the same battle. She often pulls her wild, dark chocolate coloured hair into a ponytail so she can see. If her hair is down, one could see that it is wavy, though it is very frizzy and looks unkempt if she does not use a curling iron on it. She has sapphire eyes that often glint with mischief and can sometimes look darker or lighter, depending on the lighting in the area. She is an average height, around five feet four inches and has a thin build but oddly large chest.
In the spring and summer, Camila often wears a white tank top and black vest over it with “destroyed” short shorts. In the fall and winter, however, she opts for a dark-coloured sweater, such as purple or navy, over a simple neon shirt, possibly orange or blue, and long, dark jeans. Her ponytail holder often matches the colour of her hair. She will sometimes wear a white cap with a pink brim and possibly a stamp of a small pink circle sandwiched between two halves that surround it. She prefers to wear combat boots that come up to her knees, though she will wear sneakers if she has to. She wears a silver chain around her neck that has two pendants. One is a small, brown, marble-like sphere that is encased lightly in thin, gold lines. The other is a silver locket that says I love you engraved on it with an engraved rose that is covered with pink and green gel.
Personality
Likes:[/i], a dish that includes yellow rice, seafood, peas and tomatoes instead of enchiladas or other spicy dishes of the sort. The one time she did have spicy food, she had a violent reaction from her digestive system.
Dislikes:
* Heights- Camila is terrified of heights. She can stand on top of a tall building, but if she looks down, she will start to breathe fast. She had a bad experience on a roller coaster when she was younger. She almost fell out of the car going down a steep hill on the coaster since she was so small and thin. Thankfully, her father was able to hold her down so she did not fall, but since then, she has hated heights. If she looks straight ahead, though, she will be okay.
* Arrogant people- Camila does not like to be in a room full of people like her. She has a bit of an ego herself, so people that remind her of herself irritate her. She will often dislike a person if she can detect that he or she is rude or arrogant.
* Bullies- Camila’s best friend was tormented by bullies when they were younger. She got suspended for punching the bully in the face, in fact. Needless to say, she does not like bullies and will use whatever methods she can to stop them.
* Being bossed around- Camila is a rebel at heart. She hates being told what to do and being watched. She protested her admittance to the academy and had to be restrained when “they” came to take her from her foster family. She is not happy about being monitored simply because she is not “normal”, like other humans.

Overall Personality:
Camlia is, without a doubt, a character. On the surface, she can be flippant, egotistical and snobby. However, if someone gets to know her well, that person will find that she can be sweet, caring and passionate. She is basically two people embodied in one person: the hardened girl who does not care about what other people think of her and the tender girl who wants to please people and make them happy or proud of her. This may send those who are friendly but not determined to make lasting friends away, since she can be contradicting: sweet one moment and sarcastic the next. For those who are determined, however, she will show a side of herself that many people do not get to see.
Camila seems to be normal at first. However, she makes it very clear that she is not as sweet as she seems. She tries to hide her insecurities about her appearance and lack of control over her abilities by taking “pot shots” at others. She is often sarcastic and will make jokes about people, often apologizing only half-heartedly afterward, unless she realizes that what she said was really offensive or mean. Sometimes, she will feign a sincerely kind attitude to attract people’s attention, though she makes it very clear after a little bit of conversation that the kindness is not permanent unless the other person wants to get to know her truly. This is often where her “down with The Man attitude” is often on display. She was never really fond of people telling her what to do, even as a child, so it might be easy to understand why she does not support the prefects or the government’s decision to ship her off to a “prison” on a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. She feels that her right to happiness has been violated and that the only way to attain it again is to fight and argue with everyone who tries to take it away from her. Her outer personality is a guard against strangers, whom she sees as hostile and unsympathetic.
Underneath the seemingly hardened teen, though, is a genuinely sweet girl. She only hides her true self because she feels smaller than a bug compared to everyone else. She sees everyone else as better than herself because they do not have to pretend to be who they are, whereas, she does because she is “too weak” to be the kind-hearted person that she is. Deep down, she is a kind, caring person who would stop to help an older person cross the street or rescue an animal from peril. Once she becomes friends with someone, she becomes happy and amicable. She is inquisitive and curious, not willing to stop until she has an answer. She is loyal to the death, meaning that she is more than willing to put herself in the front of the battlefield to save her friends. She also seems to be calmer, though that may be because she is more comfortable around friends than strangers. In fact, she seems like a very different person than she was when she is first encountered. She does not like hiding behind a tough exterior, but disappointment and resentment are too much for her to bear, so she prefers to hide behind a feigned haughty exterior. She dislikes her outer attitude and often feels like she is just like the bullies that she dislikes so much. However, she feels that she is just too damaged and she should protect herself from those who “want to hurt her”.
During her time at Ashford, Camila has had a bit of "a change of heart". Thanks to the people that she has met, her attitude has softened a little. She tries not to fake her sincerity when she first meets people. Of course, she still tries to project a tough attitude so as not to be taken advantage of, but it is still just a ruse; a mask that she wears. She is much more kind to others now, even offering to help new students find their way around if they look lost. She has even made a few friends at the school, which had surprised even her at first. She tries her hardest to be friendly to new people, but this does not mean that she does not get annoyed easily if they ask too many questions. She tries to smile and laugh more and not scowl and grumble as much as she used to. She is still trying to be a better person than she was before, and she has certainly made strides. She still has a long way to go, though.

History
Family Members/guardians:
Oscar Reyes~ Father
Rosa Velasquez-Reyes~ Mother
Alejandro Reyes~ Older Brother
History:
“I’m telling you; I’m never having another bebé verano,” Rosa Velasquez-Reyes exclaimed as she cradled the wailing infant to her chest.
“You make it sound like you’re never having another baby, period,” Oscar, her husband jested.
“Can I see my sister now?” inquired five year old Alejandro, who was standing at his father’s side.
The infant in Rosa’s arms looked up at her with large, sapphire eyes and, eventually, a smile. Rosa smiled at her newborn daughter and wondered idly to herself if the little girl would inherit the oddities that ran in her family. She prayed every night that her daughter would be spared the burden of having super-human abilities, for they had made her own life a living hell.***
It seemed, for a while, that Camila was going to be a normal child. She played with all of the children in her class and they all seemed to like her. She was always polite and asked nicely to play with the other children’s’ toys. She did not “bend” the water out of the fishbowl in her kindergarten classroom, or make rocks or hunks of clay come out of the earth on the playground. For her elementary school days, Camila seemed like a normal child, save for her small temper that was often stoked by bullies picking on her best friend. Though Camila seemed normal in temperament, however, she started to notice a pattern surrounding her that made her feel less important. Of course, it took some time for her to see what was going on, but by the time she did, she was unknowingly setting herself up for her future attitude.
It seemed that everyone loved Alejandro more than Camila. Their parents always praised him and forgave him easily when he breached their trust. However, if Camila brought home anything less than a high grade, her parents were often angry and lectured her about the importance of school and doing well. If she was bad, she was put in time-out, grounded and even, in some cases, spanked. All of the teachers that happened to have her brother for class also had her and they expected nothing less than perfect work from Alejandro’s little sister. It seemed that everywhere she went, Alejandro preceded her and anyone who had encountered him expected his little sister to be just like him. Camila learned after several years, however, that she and her brother were very different people and that the people who liked her brother seemed to be disappointed in her because she “was not as smart as her brother.” To remedy this, she took to the local library, spending hours reading not only for her own pleasure, but to be able to “beat” her brother. Since he was older, stronger and faster, the only way she could beat him was to be smarter.
Things became very odd and unsettling when she started high school. Camila picked up many calls from blocked numbers and callers who hung up right after she picked up. When she asked her parents what was going on, they always circumvented the question and pestered her and her brother about school, homework, and extracurricular activities. Her parents’ overbearing and condescending attitude frustrated her to no end and she decided that she had enough of being “Alejandro’s little sister.” She knew that she would never be known as herself if she did not make a change, so she let her hair grow all the way down to her waist. She started to wear ripped or skinny jeans in the winter, short shorts in the summer and shirts that revealed more than they should. She became more and more suspicious of others and began to adapt a negative attitude toward people in general, but especially people she disliked. She was suspended toward the end of her freshman year for punching another girl in the face for bullying her best friend. Her parents lectured her on many occasions, but she let the lectures go “in one ear and out the other.” She was tired of them basically telling Alejandro that he could never do anything wrong and that she was the “bad child.”
Camila continued her transformation into her second year of high school. She started to lose her old friends and drove any possible friends away with her abrasive attitude. It seemed like she wanted to be isolated from the world, though she really did not mean to drive people away. Her loneliness caused her great distress and she started to take her anger out on the walls. What she did not realize, however, was that she had indeed received powers from her parents. It was only when her father found her nearly caving a wall in with a yellow sphere that her parents decided to pay a little bit of attention to her. Her mother taught her how to meditate so that she could control her emotions so she could wield her powers properly. Her father taught her how to focus her energy so that every punch, kick and aura sphere hit the target the first time. Camila was very grateful for her abilities, for they forced her parents to spend more time with her than her brother, with whom they had spent most of their time. However, she would soon regret ever being grateful for being different.
It all happened so fast that Camila found it hard to explain what happened when. The events all took place on her last day of her second year of high school. She had went most of the day silent, though she ended up saying “see you soon” the two people that still spoke to her since her attitude change. She had boarded the school bus, putting headphones in her ears and blasting them loudly so she did not have to hear the chatter around about how ugly or pretty people looked in the yearbook. She wondered idly if her whole life was going to be like this; semi-silence, save for two or three people who actually cared. When she was finally dropped off, she let herself in to what would be the most horrific scene she had even seen with her own two eyes.
Her mother was slouched on the couch, her throat cut clean across. Her father was on the floor with an obvious bullet wound in his head. Camila let out a screech of terror and scrambled up the stairs to find her brother. However, it seemed that he was nowhere be found, so she returned to the living room and wept. She prayed in both English and Spanish that her parents would be returned to their maker safely and that their souls would not wander the earth for too long. She was barely aware of the two men that entered the living room after she blessed herself. She felt herself being yanked up by the collar and screeched as loud as she could. She felt a strong clout on the back of her head and felt consciousness leave her. The last thing she heard before she passed out was his voice.
“Lo sineto, hermana…”***
“How could you do this to me?” Camila exclaimed, shoving her brother away from her, “You jerk! You betrayed our family!”
“I’m sorry,” Alejandro sighed, rubbing his forehead, “I was only carrying out orders…”
Camila felt anger boil in her veins, but held herself back from throwing a fit. Some of her emotion aura would surely escape and hurt someone if she was not careful. Instead, she crossed her arms, turned curtly on her heel and stormed out of the room. In the hallway, she was snatched and dragged to a holding cell, where she stayed for a few days before being shipped off as part of the “Asford Project”. Camila supposed that this so called “project” was to exterminate, or at the very least quarantine, people like herself; humans who had special powers and gifts. She supposed it was easier to send the “freaks” off than to keep them with the “regular” people that the government liked to control. She had to be restrained until she was escorted to the ship, where she sat in a corner, stewing during the entirety of her journey to the school.
“Even from this prison school, they won’t silence me,” she muttered as she exited the boat and was shoved along, “I’ll fight for my freedom until the day I die…”

The moon shone high in the sky, clearly indicating that it was night time. The sky had a slightly grey tinge thanks to the clouds that had laid snow upon the ground earlier in the day. Thankfully, the snow was not too high, so children could probably have played in it without the worry of their parents and adults could make snow angels in their backyard if they so desired as long as they felt comfortable with it. Winter was in full swing and for one who loved winter, it was surely a glorious time. The snow covered the exposed tree limbs in varying degrees, from a light coating of a branch to making a limb bow under the weight of the excessive snow built up from several days of snowfall. Of course, the covering of snow varied by area, but for a person who loved winter, the planet at this season must see this place as a haven.
However, for those who did not like the snow, it was a dreaded time of year. This was the mindset of a young lady who happened to stroll outside on a balcony, fascinated by how it could exist both inside and outside simultaneously. She had her caramel hair draped over her left shoulder, covering one of the straps of her black dress that swished quietly against her thighs. She tried to put her feet down quietly, knowing that her boots would surely be making a "clack" sound against the smooth, stone-like material of the balcony. Her blue eyes stared straight ahead, to the railing at the ledge and reflected something akin to fear. There was a slightly nervous twitch to her movements, as if she were afraid of something.
The female was terrified of heights, but was trying to hide her fear. She was sure that if someone was paying close enough attention, they would find out. She did not really care much for other people's opinions, but rather, she did not want to be embarrassed if someone asked her why she was afraid of heights. She had been on a ride when she was younger that tossed her up in the air and quickly brought her back down. She had almost fallen out of the seat and would have been hurt badly if her father had not held her by the waist. However, when the ride was finished, she had run off in tears to her mother's side and begged to never go on the ride again after emptying the contents of her stomach into a nearby garbage can. She shuddered from the memory and the temperature outside; it was colder than she had expected it to be. She felt something cold brush against her foot and yelped like a strangled bird before whipping around to see what was making the back of her ankle so cold.
Atop her black boot was a small, white creature with green "ears" and ruby red eyes. She stared at it with wide, perplexed blue eyes as her whole body locked in place. Was this creature living or not? She could not really tell, though she could have sworn she saw light glimmering in it's eyes. That could just be from the moon, though, she thought with grimace before stooping down to gingerly collect the little creature into her arms. She bit back a yelp after realizing how cold the creature was and nearly dropped it back on her foot. She went to place it back on the ground, but noticed a small slip of yellow paper hanging from what would be the mouth. She tilted her head slightly and gently pulled the piece of paper from the creature's grip. The words Willow Cabin were printed in neat, scripted letters on the small slip. She raised an eyebrow before backing up to the wall and slipping the paper into the side of her dress. After a moment, she realized that the lower part of her dress was riding up slightly and a blush broke out across her face as she scrambled to adjust her skirt. After doing so, she walked back over to the small creature and picked it up again, shivering as she did so.
She had noticed someone else on the balcony earlier, but she had been too wrapped up in her own happening to acknowledge him. His statement seem to hang in the air since no one bothered to give him some kind of response. Instead of saying anything back, she looked at the little creature cradled in her pale arms and sighed quietly as a smile crossed her face. Maybe she was not all alone in this world after all. And, though she disliked the season, she had to admit the palace looked gorgeous covered in snow.
"This palace is very beautiful, especially in the winter. I would really like to see it in the spring or summer!" she said to the small, white rabbit-like creature, who simply stared at her unblinkingly with ruby red eyes.
