Learning About You.(Mutsumi)

Mikhail looked at the phone in his hands, he'd never called anyone before let alone to ask them to hang out. And it seemed especially hard with Mutsumi being the one he was calling. He decided to think it over for a few minutes, he wanted to know more about Mutsumi since they were friends but then she would ask him about his and he wasn't sure how a girl like her would react to his past. He just hoped she wouldn't stop listening after he brought up that he had been to prison and let him explain it all. But a girl like her seemed so innocent, how would she be able to understand what he had been through? How would she be able to process the idea that a person can spend twelve years of his life in a prison when they did nothing wrong. Finally he was able to work up the courage and sent her a text. Hey Mutsumi. I'm at the beach right now and I wanted to know if you wanted to come and join me so we could hang out and get to know one another. He hit send and sat down in the sand, hoping he didn't just make a mistake.

Mutsumi was laying down in her dorm room when she got Mikhail's text.

Hey Mutsumi. I'm at the beach right now and I wanted to know if you wanted to come and join me so we could hang out and get to know one another. [/I]

She read it carefully, and then re-read it. She read it over and over again to make sure that it was real. She'd text him back soon enough. "I'll be down in a little bit. "[/I] She would rush to change her clothes however. She didn't want to meet him in her school clothes. Mutsumi Changed into a black Tee with flaming hot words that read "Hot Tamale" on the chest area. She changed into some blue shorts that hugged her thighs and stopped just over her knees.

A couple minutes later she walked onto the beach to look for Mikhail. Looking around she spotted him a couple feet away. "MIKHAIL!" She cried out happily as the red head ran to the huge muscular. Her ponytail swished back and forth as she ran to him and the waves crashed to the side of her. It accented her so well to the point that her red hair seemed to sparkle as the waves crashed, spraying bits of water upon her.

Mutsumi ran to his side and hugged him. After releasing him she smiled and hugged his arm. "Come on let walk on the water." Mutsumi would drag the boy and lead him to the waters edge where they'd walk and talk. She let go of the boy and interlock her handsand set them at the lower part of her back. "So what did u want to talk about?"

Mikhail smiled when he got a text back from Mutsumi saying she'd be right there, he didn't know why he was so eager to see her again. He had always liked being around friends but this felt different, stronger than that. He smiled as he heard her shout his name and felt a jolt as she hugged him. "I'm happy to see you too." He let Mutsumi pull him towards the water and made sure to stay next to her. He thought about her question, what did he want to talk about? Really he wanted to know a lot about her but he needed to find a place to start. "Well first I'd like to know where you're from I guess." It seemed like it would be a good starting point and a way to lead into any other questions.

"Hm..." Mutsumi said thinking deeply. "To be honest I don't know, but since I was born in Japan, I guess I'm from there." Mutsumi said with a smile. "I lived on a navy vessel most of my life so forgive me if I'm not answering clearly. Basically My dad was in the army and my mom lived in Australia but they split up when I was young. I chose to live with my dad. It was really fun being on that naval ship. That's also the place where I first met Ariendel." She said somberly as she stared into the sand. She didn't like talking about the ship. It brought back so many bad memories. Her lip began to quiver as if she was about to cry. However when she lifted her head up she smiled and changed the subject. She didn't want to bother anyone else with her problems. Her life before here was that of much excitement, but all had to end with a fiery explosion.

"So what about you where are you from? I'd like to know your story."

"No you don't. Mikhail thought when she said she wanted to hear his story, her's seemed simple and happy. His was nothing but a depressing mess that even he wished he could even forget. He walked silently for a few minutes, hoping she might just forget about it. But he knew she wouldn't and that this would just make her feel like he didn't trust her. "I was born in Siberia, out in the woods and far away from any doctors. My mother died giving birth to me and it was my father who raised me from then on. He taught me how to fight and kill, how to shoot a gun, dress wounds, and other skills a soldier needs." He breathed out a painful sigh. "I asked him why so many times and finally he told me. He'd worked for the government during the waning days of the Cold War, some of the missions he did for Spetznaz were borderline war crimes and the government wanted to have all the evidence disappear, including my father...." A muscles in his jaw ticked as he continued. "One night someone broke into the cabin and put bags over our heads. When they came off we were in a prison.....they shot my father down right there and threw me, at age six into the mines with the other prisoners who shouldn't exist. I grew up in there and even after I escaped I ended up here."

"Wow!" Mutsumi said feeling down and miserable. Who wouldn't be miserable after hearing that story. Mutsumi sighed heavily and grabbed his shirt tightly. Maybe it was for emotional closure but she held onto him. "It seems like we have more in common than you think." She swallowed her fears and memories of the horrible disaster that occurred. "Y-You see. That ship I told you about earlier no longer exists." She gripped the mans shirt tighter. "We were on our way to Laus, when were attacked by some terrorists. The ship was destroyed and my dad was ripped apart by shrapnel. I was the only one to survive. I don't know how I survived but supposedly I was found wrapped in sea weed on the shore of japan with my dad's Dog tags on my wrist." She reached into her chest and the silver dog tags clanked about her breast. Lifting it up to show Mikhail. They read 'Ushio Kanazaki I.D.# 406201'. "There was nothing left of my father except for this, so I keep it with me all the time." She hugged his arm this time as a tear fell down her face. "I don't care if you went to jail or not. What matters is that you're here now. I'm here now." She looked to him dearly. "I told you we were alike." she said with a weak smile.

Mikhail smiled down at Mutsumi with tears brimming in his eyes. "It seems that we are." He said with a shaky voice. She really did understand what he'd been through, she wasn't afraid that he knew how to kill or that he had spent most of his life in hell. She still saw him as her friend even after all he'd told her. And she even felt his pain, she knew what it was like to see a parent, a father, Die in front of her. He slipped his arm out of her grasp and picked her up in his and hugged her to his chest, he was overjoyed to have a friend like her, someone who could look at him and understand what he'd been through. He felt a bit happier with her in his arms and wiped the tear from her face. "Spasibo Mutsumi. Thank you for trusting me with that." Mikhail kissed her on both cheeks. "It means a lot to me."

Mutsumi could tell from Mikhail's shaky voice that she struck a nerve. She almost began to tear up. Mihail didn't think at all that it was weird she kept her fathers dog tags around her and never took them off. Mutsumi soon felt him Mikhail's arm move towards his chest. He hugged Mutsumi tightly, and to top it off, he kissed her. Right on the cheeks. She was in shock. Never had she received the equal amount of love that she'd given before. She hugged him back as her entire body turned slightly pink. She didn't know what to do in this situation. What she did next though was out of pure emotion. She hugged him back tightly. She didn't want to let him go, she wanted to be with him. She didn't care if she got into trouble, the girl was in love for Christ sake. "Y-You know?" She said trembling at her thoughts. "I-I...." She stuttered. "I-I L-L..." she kept stuttering. How hard could it be to say I Love You. Those three words seemed to be the hardest things to say right now at this moment. "I-I-I..." At this point she couldn't say what she wanted to but she decided actions spoke louder than words. She hopped up to his face and kissed him back. This wasn't an ordinary cheek Kiss though. Mutsumi Kissed him right on the lips. She closed her eye's as their lips connected. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled back. With her forehead now touching his she looked into his eye's. "I love you."

Mikhail eyes went when Mutsumi planted a kiss on him. His arms tightened around her slightly and he closed his eyes, returning the kiss as best as he could. As was the usual his powers kicked in and his skin turned to steel. To someone viewing the scene it looked like Mutsumi was locking lips with a large, stainless steel statue. When she pulled back Mikhail thought that he'd be able to catch his breath but then she what she said left him speechless. I love you. Love....he never knew love before or how it felt. He always thought it had been a deep closeness to the other person and a longing to be near them. Thinking back he realized he had felt those feelings for Mutsumi when he was with her and away from her. Even with all these thoughts going through his head he didn't break eye contact with her. "Ya tozhe tebya lyublyu Mutsumi Kanazaki."

Mutsumi had read a lot on other languages but her Russian was a bit choppy. She could under stand the language but she couldn't speak it. What he said however made her tear up with joy as she went to kiss him again. She was his, and he was hers. She'd do anything for him. "You know this means you're my boyfriend right?" She said touching the tip of his nose and giggling. "You are now the number one guy in my life." She made her love known to him and wanted to make sure it was clear. "Mikhail, I want you to promise me something." She said looking deeply into his eyes. She was completely serious and looked almost as if she would cry. "I-I want you to promise me that you'll be there whenever I need you most." She said kissing the steel man on the cheek.

 Mikhail felt weak for a second, he could easily be there for her of course since in the prison everyone watched out for the other but he wasn't sure if he'd be the best choice for her. As a prisoner he'd learned how brotherhood worked and devoted himself to all of them but with Mutsumi it was a whole new type of devotion, one that he had no experience with. Fear started clouding his mind, the Goliath was afraid of so many things. What if he said the wrong things? What if he didn't pay enough attention to her or dozens of other things. He made sure not to show any of his thoughts but realized she was expecting an answer from him. He cleared his throat and pulled her close to his chest. "I promise I will be there for you no matter what, Moy roza." Mikhail gently lowered himself to the ground and rested her in his lap. "I still have the painting of you sitting in my room, for the last few days I've always come back to it and...I just couldn't look away from it."

Mutsumi waited to hear his response. She wanted to know for sure he understood her. She was suddenly pulled close to his broad chest. What he said next made Mutsumi's face turn beet red. She could have melted on the spot if physics allowed her to do that. His words touched her heart. She felt like crying for joy. He soon sat her own his lap and brought up the painting he made of Ariendel and her. She rested her head upon his chest. "I guess you made me look so pretty that, your eye's couldn't leave the canvas." She said giggling. "You can have me as a model any time."

As her hand felt his chest she remembered something. They were learning about each other but Mutsumi didn't know what his special power was. "I heard that when we cam-er-were forced here to this school we were each chosen because we have a special power. What is yours and how did you get them?" Mutsumi knew it had to do with how his body turns to metal but it could've been more to it than that. She thought they might as well talk about everything while they were here.

Mikhail shook his head on her comment about the painting. I didn't make you pretty, the beauty was already there, I just captured it." He chuckled. He never got why people thought artists made the subject look better. They painted what they saw, if the subject was beautiful the painting would be beautiful. The question of his powers was an easy one to answer though. His power wasn't that complex really, what you saw was what you got. "Well my powers or power is that I can turn my skin into a organic steel material, doing increases my strength and endurance well above the average human being. I can also take some amounts of gunfire as long as it's not a large group of sustained gunfire and if the gun is high enough of a caliber it could punch through. Electricity and heat are pretty dangerous too." To emphasize the transformation he cupped her cheek and morphed, his hand going from calloused yet delicate for his size, to a shiny smooth steel that was still warm to the touch from his body heat. "As for how I got them, well I guess I was born with them like everyone else but I only learned I had them when I was sixteen and I stopped a prisoner from stabbing a friend of mine."

Mutsumi nuzzled up against him and looked out upon the sea. She listened eagerly as the man talked about his power to turn his body into an organic metal. "Wow you really are built like a tank." she giggled. The girl loved hearing about the powers other people had, seeing as how her powers never awakened.

"Well to be frank, I don't know what my powers are to be exact. When I remember back then, there's never been anything strange that's happened. I was perfectly normal. Then Ariendel popped up from no where when I was little, and the explosion soon followed after. As I said before all I couldn't remember any events occurring then but I was wrapped in a seaweed cocoon and spit out upon the shore. Years passed and I ended up in a broom closet here. Don't know how but it happened." Mutsumi smiled and looked to the man. Of course abductions didn't seem normal but she was used to it. It happened a lot on the warship she was on. Of course she was scared at first but after the 10th time it became tiring and monotonous to the point where she'd sleep through threats and wonder what she was going to make for dinner later on. "It's safe to say though, everyone here seems to know what power they have except for me. I mean I'd like to know." The red head sighed a bit she didn't want Mikhail to worry about her so she pushed through it with a smile. "L-Lets forget about that for now. So what do you think about this whole, thing. Being sent to an island against our will. I didn't know what to think of it at first but..." she looked at Mikhail. "I think it'll be bearable now."

She didn't know what her powers were, that was new. Most people he met knew what they could do but he guessed she was a special case. Her stories of how she got here made him worry but that was instantly washed away when she smiled. He smiled back and looked down at her. "It's better than what I had before, I'll say that. But it's not ideal either but at least sleeping is easier. And with you here it's gotten a whole lot better." Mikhail wrapped his hand gently around her's and squeezed a little. Sleep, he hadn't thought about that, nightmare were never his problem but it was hard sleeping since you were always on guard back in the gulag. He'd been sleeping better here but part of him wondered how Mutsumi dealt with sleeping. "Let me ask, how have you been sleeping?"
