-Fire Manipulation: The Phoenix is a symbol for fire, Kelvin discovered it after setting his kitchen on fire. In this he must keep his emotions in check, or he will lose control and blaze anything in his path, and at the end, depending on how much he uses he could pass out, too much would spiral him into a coma, or even death.

-Healing Touch: The Magic Phoenix is supposed to cry tears that heals any wound. He found this power first. Like that, Kelvin can use his touch to heal a wound or an injury. Like his Fire Manipulation, the more power he uses the more energy he loses. If he were to cure a sickness, depending on which it was, he would pass out or fall into a coma.

-Rapid Cell Regeneration: The Phoenix is known as the immortal bird, although Kelvin is by no means immortal, he can rapidly heal any injury or wound. He is immune to disease, but as explained, when he uses a great amount of his power, he faces serious consequences, and the Regeneration does not help. Cuts, injuries, bruises, and serious wounds can be healed. Depending on the damage, it will take time to heal. A cut, will heal quickly. A broken bone will take a while, and so will a deep wound. Wounds near the heart will take very long to heal, and Kelvin will not be awake when this happens. An injury directly to the heart is not recoverable. He can regrow fingers if they have been cut. But he will not be able to regenerate a loss of a limb, especially a beheading.

Appearance: Kelvin has an intimidating figure, tall and muscular. He is a naturally born athlete, and gifted with natural strength. He is of African descent, and has brown dreadlocks that go down to his shoulders, and wide chest. Kelvin has a piercing on his lip, and a tattoo of the word 'HOPE' across his back.

He has a scar down his chest, from the first time he blazed, or like he likes to call, Phoenix mode, where he loses control and attacks. Kelvin has unusual crystal blue eyes. Whenever he wears a uniform, he rarely, he usually wears a dress shirt, that isn't buttoned up, and black dress pants, along with sneakers. His usual style is casual, a t-shirt, jeans, sneakers. Whenever something involves sports, his clothes are usually baggy. He also wears military dog tags.

Personality

Overall Personality: Kelvin is a good guy in honesty. He is kind, caring, and protective. He is the friend to look over all his other friends, and also the silent type when he's not comfortable. When he is around friends, he is always cracking jokes, and getting familiar. He's very flirty when it comes to females, even though he means nothing by it.

Kelvin is a good friend, and fiercely loyal. He will always be there for a friend in need. Since he has no immediate family, his friends are the closest thing he has.

He is very cocky and sarcastic, to a point where you think he is incapable of being serious. If you think that though, you are mistaken, when pushed to a point, he can become dead serious. He is very determined, and strong willed. Confident in his abilities, and knows his own limitations.

He is a guy that takes losing in good manner, because that means he will continue to entertain himself, and work on his skills so he can become stronger. Every time he loses, it just shows him how strong he is, and how much better he needs to be.

Kelvin gets annoyed by petty fights, for no absolute reason. When you fight, there needs to be a good reason behind it, because people get hurt. As a boy, he was always belittled for his skin color, and his fire that made some people from churches believe he was a demon, which gives him a deep hatred for racism. When he is underestimated, he also builds rage.

History

History: Kelvin was born in the United States, in the city of Atlanta. His parents gave him up for adoption when he was a only twelve months old, he moved from foster home to foster home until he was seven. He was adopted by a nice family in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was bullied when he was younger for the color of his skin, and not fitting into the stereotype.

He was not one to back down, and was constantly getting suspended for fighting in school. And sometimes it wasn't for just defending himself against bullies, he'd defend other friends that would get picked on, and gladly step into battle for them. He was obsessed with making it known that he was the strongest in that school.

It was one day, when he was ten that one friend got a black eye after local kids beat him up. After Kelvin had fought them off, he tried to help his friend, taking a look at his eye. But once he touched it, the eye miraculously healed. Kelvin ran back and told his parents, who though he was just exaggerating. But after his mother got burned making dinner one night, he healed the burn and took away the pain. He was told not to say anything.

After a few days, he tried to keep it under wraps. But in hopes of helping a friend, who had bad eye sight, he healed his eye sight, successfully, but then passed out.

Back at home, his parents scolded him long and hard for healing someone, making Kelvin get angry, and start a fire in the kitchen. His parents were now worried, and looked for help in the church. The church took it wrong, and thought that he was an evil entity. It happened from when he was ten to twelve, where the kids in class began to throw makeshift crosses at him, and what they called holy water. He tried to control himself, but couldn't, and set the class on fire. Luckily no kids were killed, but some were injured.

The church members, went to his house that night, when he was packing to leave with his parents. They killed his parents, who tried to protect him, angering Kelvin. He remembers nothing from that night, just having his arms set ablaze, and then blacking out.

He woke up in a government facility, where after an escape attempt, he was explained that he had been in a coma for a year. He was now thirteen, and almost no immediate memory from what happened before he went into a coma. He was put in a containment chamber, and told everything that happened. Making Kelvin lose control again, but this time being stopped before he went into another coma.

They continued to refer to him as the Phoenix, seeing some similarities in between his powers and a Phoenix. He met other kids in the facility he was in, and after a few months, they planned an escape that went wrong, and in one of them dying. He had been shot in the arm, but had healed quickly, showing him he had another power.

On his fourteenth birthday, he was told that he would be taken to a school for "Gifted" kids like him, and there he has been ever since.

How did you find us?: On Caution.

RP Sample: Kel hadn't been back for long, well maybe a few weeks or so he'd been back. But he knew for a fact he hadn't seen everyone whom he knew before he left. Some of them had left camp, and when Kel had left he had never said goodbye to any of them. Basically just leaving without telling anybody. Which was selfish. And he had come back and hadn't talked to everybody, selfish again. But hey, he didn't wanna make a big deal or make a scene. So that is why he didn't really talk to many people. Claire knew he was back, and so did Kameron. He heard Nate had left camp, which saddened Kel. But he wasn't anyone to complaing. As said before.

Kel sat by himself thinking about something he had said a bit ago. The Apollo boy had changed in his time away from camp. First is he wasn't really afraid.. Of anything. well he didn't know that yet. If a God wanted to kill him, he would obviously be afraid... Or would he. Something he learned from an awful movie that had a good message was that even though 'Fear' was a said emotion. Couldn't you conquer it? If you can conquer fear, you could conquer all fear couldn't you? Fear was just a choice.

Kel's philosophical thinking was quickly put to an end, from where the tree he was sitting at. A really familiar face. No way. It was Callie. Kel sort of sat a bit shocked. One of the faces he had sort of missed when he was away. Others included Nate and Kameron. But he saw Kameron. The Apollo boy chuckled a bit to himself as a wave of nostalgia hit him. Months ago he had left camp without saying goodbye to any of his friends. And there was one of them, standing right there.

Kel of course couldn't actually call Callie a friend though. Or could he? Frenemy? Kel and Callie did have their ups and downs. But he never considered her an enemy. More like a sort of friendly rival. She always tested him at training, Kel always had a smart thing to say to her. He quickly jumped down the tree and slowly made his way to her, until he got closer. "Well... Look who it is. Kel said smiling broadly. Wondering what her reactiong would be.
