Halloween, a time for kids to become their heroes, teens to let their inner freak out, and adults drink to every princess costume that comes to their doors. What a holiday, it was definitely Ash’s kind of day. However, he did like the less popular sister to Halloween, Mischief Night. Sadly, Ash just didn’t get a chance to go out and set up pranks in various sections of the school this year. It wasn’t the same without his partner in crime. Oh well, he wasn’t going to let those type of thoughts enter his mind tonight. Tonight would be a night of fun, even if it killed him.
And it started off with throwing together a last minute costume. Going as a pretty fantastic pun and completely undermining the ‘formal wear’ announcement would be just fine. He threw on a pair of sleek gray slacks, not forgetting a blue belt,of course. Paired with a simple long sleeve, dark blue sweater to, chopping up the edges of the cuffs a bit. Add a pair of dark blue shoes and he nearly had the look. Slicking his red and silver hair he placed a cream colored fedora with a blue and white stripped scarf completed it. He pulled off the Snow Miser pretty well if he said so himself, which he did. Lastly, the black mask that was required, it through off the look a bit but oh well.
With his outfit put together and a bottle of southern comfort hidden nicely under his sweater he made his way down the gym. The loud music, dim lights and mass of dancing teens look pretty inviting to the red head as he slid in the door. Casually as he could he made his way over to the punch table. Ash easily slipped into his old habits of flirting which was rather helpful in convincing the girl who was minding the punch to go talk to the DJ about a change in music. While he was gone he checked to make sure the coast was clear before spiking the punch with a bit of alcohol, of course not too much so that it was that noticeable.
Walking away from the table he slipped the bottle between the bleachers to be retrieved later, after all you can’t let good booze go to waste. As he did so he heard the shift from annoying pop junk to a rocking alternative song, a smile popped onto his face. A few feet away he took up a spot against the wall, easing against it as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. He watched the expecting teens take drinks from the punch, a snicker leaving his lips nearly every time a couple went up. “Ah a little harmless chaos is exactly what this dance needed,” he said to himself.
