Stella vs Eteri [Match 1]

She was out of her league. Since when was fighting her thing? What had she been thinking? Stella hugged herself as she walked out into a make-shift ring. Her white cotton dress flowing around her calves as she made her way slowly. Bright aquamarine gaze sweeping the area as she pulled her thoughts together. Not like it's a death match...

She had signed up to prove that she wasn't some weak little girl, and she couldnt back down now! She pulled her long blonde hair up into a looped ponytail and snaped it in place with a band from her wrist. Worst case sceneario she still had Tokumei.. though she supposed that wouldnt be proving anything if she just tossed the fight over to her other self.. No. This was her fight.

She stuck out her hip and crossed her arms over her chest with a sly look. Hopefully her opponant would be a boy. It would make all this crap so much easier. Slowly a smirk appeared on her lips. Hiding the fact that she was scared as all hell of what was to come. Hopefully she could at least hang on long enough to prove something to herself. Not like she had toyed with the notion of actually winning this tournament. Hah. Nope.

Why was she doing this? Eteri kept asking herself that question the moment she signed up for this thing. Was it for the reward? That was likely the big reason, though honestly she felt like there was some sort of catch to it. But was it really just that? Just look at her. She didn't have anything that could make her stand up to someone who could punch like a freight train, or take such a punch like it was a slap on the wrist.

Then again, that was likely the underlying reason behind all this. She just wanted to see what she could do. Just see what she was capable of. If she could make it far here? Great. If she actually won and the reward was real? Even better. Although the moment she saw that 'ring' and someone already inside it, Eteri hesitated a bit.

... That did not look like someone outfitted for a fight. Here Eteri was in her typical outfit, black shirt, yellow jacket, black shorts, and sneakers, yet here this girl was in a dress. Geez, talk about a distinct difference in appearance. Though it did make her wonder just what this girl was capable of.

Once that shock was over, Eteri made her way in the little area they were to fight inside. Her eyes were focused on the girl before her, obviously serious, but not really trying to seem intimidating. Tournament or no, she wasn't in this to 'have fun' and play mind games. In fact, just looking at her in this situation made the natural-gymnast feel bad.

"... Let's get this done quickly, alright?" It was a mix of an irritated tone, yet still held a bit of hesitation. Kicking some government agents is one thing, but beating another student for her own benefit? It wasn't exactly sitting well with her. "I may want out of here, but it's not like I'm gonna hate you if I lose."

She wanted to at least get that out. Regardless, Eteri wasn't going to make the first move. Best to play it safe and see what this girl could do. After all, movement was Eteri's forte.

Stella's eyes brightened a little as her opponent walked into the ring. Sure, she was a little disappointed it wasn't a boy. Worried a little even. But the girl caused a smile to play across Stella's lips. She was cute.
"You... are adorable~." She giggled and bowed in a curtsy to the girl before straightening up and winking. Whether she won or not didn't really matter at this point. But she'd still like to give the girl a challenge either way. And that's just what she planned to do.

As the fight started she remained still for a few moments. Clearly the girl wasn't the kind to attack first, so it had to be Stella. Fine. A mischievous glint came to life in her eyes as she moved suddenly. However, it was in no way what most would have expected of a first move. Stella skipped forward on light feet as if merrily making her way to a class. Moving with such carefree ease as she approached the girl.

As she neared she suddenly hopped forward, her arm flashing out as if to just grab the girl. Just like that. She either seemed stupidly oblivious or very simple minded. Yet all the while Stella simply smiled sweetly.

"You... are adorable~."

Okay, back up! Did... she just call her... adorable? Of all the freaking things a person could say in a match... Eteri just stood there, eyes widened, blinking at a set rhythm as her brain just tried to process what was just said, but she was having a rather hard time doing so. Though some part of it was getting through as a small bit of a blush hit her cheeks.

Seriously? Was this a mind game of some sort? Just to throw her off her mental balance or whatever one would call it? Or was it an actual compliment? ... No! No, no, no! She had to get her head straight. She'd just have to talk to her later... right? Aw crap, this became awkward really fast. But she had to focus. Just get her head in the game and...

She was already near her? ... Strange way to walk up, skipping like that, but it was only a second of realization before she saw a hand coming up to grab her. However, Eteri had the reflexes for that. Though she would feel the tips of the girl's fingers graze her, Eteri leaned back like she was in a limbo competition, seemingly falling though she was able to bring her hand down to the ground. But that was for what was coming next.

The brunette swung her right leg out as she fell, attempting to strike this girl on the knees to knock her off balance, though regardless of a hit or not, Eteri would keep herself moving, spinning around with her hand as the pivot point until her legs were behind her, then placing both hands on the ground and bending her arms to lower herself and then push back with enough force to launch her back up a bit, moving back and landing on her feet to create a little more distance.

... Hey, maybe Super Agility was good for combat after all? But how to use it... That was the question here.

Wack! Stella felt the hit to her knees and blinked as they buckled underneath her. So that's what you got~ She fell backwards only to throw her hands behind her and catch herself. Sitting with her legs bent slightly out in front of her. Her bright gaze never leaving the cute girl. True she had no real fighting experience herself. But that didn't mean she didn't know how they worked nor that she had no moves. Her mother had taught her more than enough. And one of those things was to never give up your strength first. Now she knew the girls. The thought brought a soft smile to her lips despite the dull pain in her left knee.

Now what.. Her mind flickered about as she thought of how to fight someone that seemed to only be interested in defense. Most of the moves she had been taught were self-defense in case she was ever attacked on the street, but that didn't really help here did it? She pushed herself to her feet and brushed off the dirt from her cotton dress.
"Ya know, we won't get very far like this~"

Hide your strengths. Her mother's words drifted in her head as she lifted her hand, palm out towards the girl as if ready to shoot something. Yet she then simply waved with a mischievous grin.

The girl recovered, but Eteri expected as much. She wasn't entirely sure what this one had up her sleeve anyway... Although now that she thought about it, she also gave a big clue as to what she could do with that maneuver she just pulled...

But her opponents comment was something Eteri had to agree on. They weren't going to go that far if it was just one move at a time. But that wasn't what the brunette wanted to do. She wanted to wait and study. Eteri knew if she was going to try some kind of offensive, she would have to get in close and dodge whatever the heck it is this girl had, but she didn't know if they were more distance capable or close quarter capable... It was like what she heard from her brother before. 'Just listen for the rhythm of the music, then you can follow the beat no problem.'

Though Eteri was ready for anything when the girl held out her head, ready to move at a moment's notice. Those reflexes of hers was coming in handy, after all. Although the girl simply waved it off with a smile. What was that supposed to be? A warning? A fake out? Mind games?

"Look who's talking," she said, still having her guard up, eyes fixed on the girl before her. "You can try to trick me, call me 'adorable', or whatever, but I'm not just going to start fighting blind. I'm not that stupid." If anything, Eteri knew she would have to jump in this with a calm head. Keep those impulses under control.

"Well," Stella gave the girl an apologetic smile. "I'll admit the wave was a trick. But the adorable thing was the truth~" She gave a simple shrug before eyeing the girl up. Her movements reminded Stella of a squirrel. How do you catch a squirrel? She thought for a moment but the simple answer was either outsmart it or out-speed it. No way she could out-speed this fiery thing. But, she could probably out smart her.. A devious smile appeared on her lips as a plan bloomed in her mind. Shoot a rifle at a squirrel, you'll miss generally every time. But a shotgun?

Stella rose one hand out in front of her and the other pointed at her feet, palms outward. With a whoosh of air a large bubble sprang from her feet and engulfed her as if a barrier, it's surface taking on a rubber-like consistency. Hold it... focus. Next she twirled the hand in front of her as tiny bubbles shot out of the one around her, spraying outward in a barrage as they struck anything in their path. Their surface hardened to give the same hit as a pellet-gun. Not lethal by any means, but enough to cause injury none the less. She slowed her breathing as she concentrated and continued the barrage. Dodge these, sweetheart~

She admits it's a trick. This girl was definitely more open than Eteri expected. Not to mention the whole thing about her also admitting that the 'cute' comment was the truth. It was something she wasn't used to, she had to admit herself. Although she didn't lower her guard in that moment.

But what happened next was a surprise. Was that... a bubble? Part of her told her to jump on her while she had a chance, but she stayed put... Not one of her brightest moments. The moment she saw all those other bubbles come up, that red flag rose.

"... Damn it!" It was like a shotgun. Though the only real difference was that she could see the pellets. So she tried to use that, her agility making her nearly dance around, almost like a matrix moment as she started dodging what she could. However, she then felt one hit her leg, then her shoulder, then her side. A couple more hits made her roll on the ground from the force, but she pushed herself back up, gritting her teeth to fight that pain she was feeling.

"Fine... No more distance." She decided to take the offensive this time, charging forward, dodging all she could and jumped at the girl, leg stretched out intended to try and kick through the little barrier and go straight for the girl's torso.

Stella clamped her teeth tight as she concentrated on her barrier and the buck-shot at once. Multitasking was a bitch with any power... hell most people couldn't even pat their head and rub there belly's at the same time! She smirked a little at the thought as she watched the girl. She was flexible, really flexible. The girl reminded Stella of a ninja in one of those anime she used to watch before she came here. Surely she was a close-range fighter, which worked to Stella's benefit greatly. Her power was foremost for defense. Only recently had she found ways to use it for offensive purposes.

Sure enough the girl slipped through the barrage and came at her with a kick. Which made her instinctively try to duck even as she focused both hands to her feet and cut off the barrage. The bubble giving in about a foot, mere inches from Stella, before shooting back into shape and knocking the kick aside forcefully. Part of Stella was a bit to cautious to half her power again to attack. Knowing that kick would of probably popped the bubble had she continued the barrage, or at least still indented it enough to hit her anyway. Well shit.

She thought fast and decided a trap would be in order. The girl apparently had no other way to attack other than with her body... Stella grinned, her hand flicking as the bubble's surface took on a different substance. One more like a glue trap. Come on little fly, take the bait.. Stella stood straight and suddenly flicked her gaze to the side as if distracted by something on the sidelines for a moment. It was a risk. There was still a chance the girl could be a manipulator. But Stella knew time was running short in their little game.
