A laminated yellow folder sat open on the table top - it's contents spread out in an disorganized mess as a pair of sapphire-blue-hues scanned the pages. Each time his eyes fell upon a piece of paper, his eyes slowly shifted back and forth, left to right, as they carefully studied each description given about the student, Kia Locke. However, after ten minutes of intense studying, Liam couldn't bring himself to focus. His gaze constantly shifting away from the file, and looking at literally everything else. After another five minutes of mindlessly avoiding his responsibilities, the dual-colored-haired boy let out a defeated sigh before quickly put the file back together, and sliding it to the corner of the table.
Kia Locke; she was one of the younger students that inhabited Ashford, and to have already been made into a Prefect. The Government must have seen something in her. It was a little unsettling for the young man. The idea of children being made into essentially a police force, one that primarily worked as SWAT. Of course Liam hadn't known this when Felicia had asked him to help train new recruits. Not that he would have declined either way. He knew there were some younger Prefects, but having one being assigned to his team made it a little bit closer to home.
At least this way he'd be able to keep an eye on her, as well as the other two. A small smile graced his lips as he thought about how he was now a teacher, a mentor. Never before had he seen himself in such a position, but now that he was here, he felt right. "You'll fail." A voice taunted him from his subconscious. Liam's body froze, and his breathing slowed as the voice teased him. "Liam! Hey Liam!" It called out to him, but the Prefect ignored it. He just had to pretend that it didn't exist, and it would go away eventually, just like it always did. Although, it had taken longer these past couple of days. "Look at me!" The voice screamed at the top of it's nonexistent lungs, causing Liam to actually physically jump. He almost acknowledged the voice, but he was snapped out of his subconscious by the sound of the door slamming shut.
Blinking his eyes a few times, he quickly regained his composer, and looked up. "Good afternoon Kia."
