I Really Don't Want to Die(open)

A boy walked into the courtyard with certain worry, "How long am I going to stay a secret and who is going to not try to kill me?". With a school like this, that was a reasonable question. He sat down on a bench and practiced energy construction by making a small ball to bounce on the ground. His energy is and was always blue, and he was ok with it just the same. He liked blue. It reminded him of the sky. He levitated and spun the ball in motions that made it look like an atom, and then dispersed it with a *pop* like it was a bubble. He pulled out a book and wrote,"So far so good, hope that there aren't any Prefects or Battle Fronters that would like to kill me, but with this school you never know."

Kizoku Shimizu was very adaptable, but he hated injustice. So much that he always fought to protect others and do what seems right. Of course at this school, people want to make you have certain morals.

As he got tired of sitting, he stood up, jumped and did a flip onto a table and did a series of flips on the tables until he got the excess energy out of his system. Just then, he noticed a butterfly with a slightly bent wing. He reached out his hand and concentrated on healing the wing, he felt a sharp pain on his right shoulder, as would be expected, and saw that the butterfly was well and fluttering. He smiled and sat at the tables and drew pictures, waiting for somebody to meet.

Coraline had been watching a guy for a few minutes. He looked paranoid. New, she thought with a small nod, this guy was new. Coraline had her usual gloves on along with her earmuffs. She was sitting at the edge of the courtyard leaning against one of the walls of the school. Her strange hair was -as usual- messy and barely brushed. Her red eyes peered out from behind her glasses. He was so strange. He looked as if he was waiting for somebody to try and kill him. His little energy ball was something that she found interesting, she half expected him to be a perfect, but no, he wasn't wearing the crest on his uniform. Battle Front? No he didn't look up to the task. That left neutral.

Coraline slowly stuck up behind him as he wrote something down. The statement was way too over the top. Like, really? Most people wouldn't kill people, but she wouldn't put it past some of the them. She definitely wouldn't. It made her sick just to think of it. She didn't quite make herself known yet and simply just watched as he healed a butter-fly's wing. That was stupid. She thought, but it was useful information for her to know that he could heal things. Although he used his powers for stupid things.

When the boy started drawing Coraline watched over his shoulder as he did so. He was quite good.[as I know you are] "I like you drawings." she said right next to his head. She couldn't hear her own voice, but she looked to him to read his lips. She expected a reaction such as him yelling or freaking out as was expected from his little note earlier. She was a battle front, but he didn't need to know that. She pointed to one of the drawing. "I like that one best."

Why was she doing this? She didn't even like people and now she was willingly conversing with a boy. He had blond hair and blue eyes. He seemed way to good to fit in here at Ashford. Everybody here seemed to be able to fight really well, but it seemed that he might be one of the weaker people that came to Ashford. Who knows, maybe his power was strong and he could easily beat her in a fight.

Kizoku noticed the girl when she snuck up behind him while he was writing, so it wasn't a surprise that she whispered in his ear. He calmly put the pencil down after finishing a drawing of an angel, and said,"Thank you, I assume you are Coraline?".

He looked over the student list before he came here, but he only remembered a few people," I also assume you saw me heal the butterfly? Pretty stupid I know, but I like animals, except for stuff like snakes and scorpions." he stated as he examined the girl. She was around his age, but she had eyes that knew things, things that you wouldn't expect. He focused on reading the dreams and he heard certain things, faint, but they were still there. He read that one of her dreams was to lose her powers, and realized what the gloves and goggles were for.

"Kizoku Shimizu, Dream Manipulator, Energy Constructor, and Healer of Minor wounds. Pleased to meet you Coraline, and I know about the gloves and the earmuffs...I hope I don't come across as rude, but I poked around in your dreams for a bit, I'm very sorry. I hope you can forgive me." he said as he held out his hand for greeting and as an apology. " I'm nervous about being here, and I would like to know people here, I hope we can get along." he added."Agh! Why do I talk so freaking much?!?"

Coraline instantly regreted coming over to talk to the kid. She didn't want to seem rude and just walk away so while he talk she just watched his mouth move so that she could understand what he was saying and didn't just get tiny parts of him talking. Although him talking was just alot of him creeping her out on how much he knew about her and how invasive he was into her mind. It made her want to punch him, but she didn't. he had appologized, but his appology made her sigh and rub her temples.

"You're right you do talk way too much." She muttered half to herself. Coraline really doubted what she was doing right now. She sighed. "You need to be more confident, nobody's going to kill you, well, most people won't. I know you're new, but your paranoia is over the top. School full of kids with powers doesn't mean death." She ranted as she glared at the guy. "And if you're looking for a friend then try somebody nicer than me. You might get along with somebody with less of a temper." And now she was in a bad mood.

He looked at the girl and said,"You don't seem like a mean person, and by the way," this time making sure he moved his lips so she could understand him,"I know about your earmuff and glove problem, I'm sorry I that I apologize to much and I don't really believe that people will try to kill me, but honestly I need to blow off some steam."

He sighed as he failed at his first in his first impression,"I understand if you want me to leave you alone, so I'm sorry for talking too much and wasting your time."

At this he generated his blue, literally four-eyed, stuffed cat and started to pet him while he sat in his lap," Hey Dr. Blu, you finally get to meet someone besides me, this is Coraline."

Coraline noticed the different in his movement of lips, him trying to make it easier for her to read his lips she guessed, but really it just made her even more annoyed. She hated people doing that, it made it even harder for her to read his lips. She managed to read his lips for the most part though. And then he was apologizing. And that just made it all the more annoying. He was going to have to toughen up. He was really annoying, but still she wasn't just going to leave him.

"Stop saying sorry." She sighed. She was trying to think of something to get him to shut up. She then caught sight of the freaky little blue cat thing. She raised an eyebrow at it. Being blue was one thing, but it had four eyes too. Coraline poked the thing's eyes to see if it was real. It seemed semi-real. After all it had appeared out of nowhere. The thing was really weird and Coraline never saw Kizoku talk because she was to busy poking the cat thing to see his lips move.

Kizoku watched Coraline poke Dr. Blu and so he made a little name tag for him on a fancy hat. He felt bad and noticed she seemed a bit irritated, so he poked her so she could see what he was saying and said," Do you like him? I made him when I was in solitary confinement." he said with a little bit of pride in his cat.

" What do people do here for fun? I'm fine with schoolwork, but I need something to do besides drawing." He asked Coraline.

Coraline felt Kizoku poke her and looked up at him. He was talking alot. Man this kid talked alot. She read his lips, but she was kind of surprised by the "solitary confinement" part. He sounded weird and he was. Where did he come from that he was put in solitary confinement? She shook her head slightly and frowned. She regretted staying more and more as this conversation went on. "It's interesting." She muttered. She said it because she refused to admit that the thing might actually have similarities to a cat other than the fact that it was in the general shape of one.

When he asked what they could do for fun she had to think for a moment. She pretty much just walked around and did whatever so she had no idea. Annoy people? That was what she liked to do. He seemed to be more of a person who didn't want to annoy people. "I don't know. Talk to people?" She muttered. She had no idea what this guy liked to do.

Kizoku noticed that she seemed to be regretting this conversation and yet she stayed, so he felt happy. It was years since he actually had someone to talk to besides Dr. Blu. Kizoku finally stood up and said, " Thanks for talking with me, it's been a while since I've been able to talk to someone without getting hit by a club, besides Dr. Blu. I'll see you later then, and thanks again Coraline."

He started to walk away and turned around and said, " Hope we can be friends, I'll see you around. " he then picked up Dr. Blu and his things and walked away towards the auditorium.
