A guardien of the dark.

It's been awhile since he took up the name Vanguard X and scouted the school during the night and looked around during the day. He started to get use to moving around in the suit. While it was like hundred pounds, it felt like nothing to him. He even got use to seeing out of the helmet. But Mamoru really got use to how he was getting around. He did have super speed or anything other power that would let him get away fast or hide, but he did have his special scarf that changed into anything he needed with just simple pulse of electricity that he could make.

So with that along, he used his scarf as like a grappling hook and was swinging around school like some comic book hero. Swinging at night became easier. He knew all the places to hook from and just started to swing around. After a few things around the school grounds, he found himself at the top of the auditorium.

It was around 12 when he got done with his 'patrol' around the school. Besides a few Perfects here and there, it seemed quiet. He just let out a sigh as he kinda wished something did happen. But if it was quiet then it was safe and if it was safe then the students were safe. As he sat down on one of the flat pillars, he just looked up at the star filled sky and the moon. "Maybe I should turn in early tonight...."

Melody scabbled her way up the large pillar things in the auditorium. These were really the most funnest things to climb! Perching atop one she saw a... Robot?! Why was a robot sitting up on the pillars. Quick and lithe she easily sprang from each pillar top to another to reach the robot. "Hiii Mr. Robot Dude!!" She said cheerily to him... Supposedly him that is. She looked him over with interest, her cat ears forming back into her usual flat skull.

"Do you like to climb things too?" She asked enthusiastically to the robot. "I like climbing things! Except then I get stuck sometimes, and when that happens I feel scared. I usually have to ask for help, but nobody ever gets me down these days. Oooh! It's really far from the ground up here!" She continued to ramble about, moreover, pointless things. Melody could talk, but the hard part is getting her to be quiet.

As he looked over at the school from where he was, Mamoru got a surprise when someone spoke out. He nearly slipped and fell but was able to catch himself before he could fully fall off. "Man that was close..." Sitting up right on the pillar he was on, Mamoru looked over at the surprise guest that was up here with him. It was a girl with cat ears. To think that he thought that he wouldn't be spotted up here. Then again she came up here and spotted him, not down there.

But before he could say a word, she was already off with a few of her own. All Mamoru could really do was sit there and hear her out. She sure liked talking about climbing. "Um well first of all, I'm not a robot. I'm flesh and bone who wears a suit. Also not really on the climbing. I kinda swung here." Looking at her closely, it was clear that she wasn't Perfect so she must have been just a student. "What are you doing out here? If someone from the Perfect's night portal sees you, you'll be in trouble."

Well he shouldn't be the one talking about getting into trouble with the night portal as seeing as he was breaking that same room on his own portal. But with his suit being all black, he would be harder to spot at night right now.

"Ah! So your a cyborg then?! You have human flesh and a metal suit! That's so cool!" Mel was like that odd one out. Chasing bunnies, tackling boys in the gym, you name it and she probably has pulled it off in some crazy way. "So do you drink oil?! Do you carry around an ax too? Like the tin man? Once I had an ax, but then it broke when I accidentally lost grip on it then it his a wall. It was really really funny though!" She said cheerily.

"Swinging too?! You must be like, spiderborg or something! As for the silly prefects, I have yet for them to catch me! Once I was trying to get away, then another came from behind me, but I saw something shiny on the ground. I bend down just for a second to pick it up, and the meanies ditched me! I ran away when I heard moaning zombies in the deep pit we were near though." She continued on with her tales. Unaware that zombies didn't exist and were actually prefects that had fallen into the pit painfully.

Well she was a talker. All Mamoru could do is just sit there and hear her talk about random things. Being called a cyborg and a spiderborg is weird. He was a full blooded human who just wore a hundred pound suit of advance metaling suit. But where did the whole spiderborg come from? Then again he was swinging around in the school for awhile like a spider. "Well it's a good thing that you didn't get caught at least. But zombies?"

Well it wouldn't be to far out there. Who knows maybe someone in this school could make zombies rise from the dead or maybe make zombie like beings. But who really knows. "You really like to talk don't you. But I'm no spiderborg or anything like that. So I don't drink oil. I can have an ax." Removing his white long scarf and used his electro powers to change the shape of the scarf into a ax like weapon. "It's made out a very special metal that reacts to the electro pulse that I give out. Just thinking it and boom." The ax shaped scarf changed into a long sword. "Not just weapons but other things to." Mamoru changed the weapon back into the scarf and placed it around his neck. "By the way, names Vanguard X. What's yours?"

"Vangaurd X? Sounds like flea treatment for dogs... I'm Melody by the way!! You can call me Mel though." She said happily. Her head tipped back and for with a cheery smile while she hummed a small tune. "So what do you really look like?" She asked suddenly, curious of the robot's actual looks. "Please can I see? I won't tell anyone else if you don't want me to." She begged him. At least she thought the robot was a he, but one could never tell.

"Hmm... I wonder how Ren is doing...?" She thought aloud to herself quickly, hoping her Sweetie was okay. Ren was always so emoish. She worried about him, but he always rejected her. "I really like this boy, but I'm not sure if he does me. Do you know how I could really let him know I love him a lot?" She sighed looking to VanX. A name she figured would be easy to remember for her mind.

Will was taking a walk around the school. He was not sure about what was expected of him as a prefect, but he had an idea that if something was to happen, it would properly happen at night. So far though, it had proved a very uneventful night, and he was more than considering returning to his room for some sleep. On his way he passed by the auditorium when he got a strange feeling. It was his senses telling him that there was someone nearby. ‘Strange’ he thought as he couldn’t see anyone. Unfortunately his senses often couldn’t tell him exactly where people were. He peaked into the auditorium itself but couldn’t see anyone, but still there were no one to see.

“I am sure there are somebody nearby” he was talking to himself now, as he was trying to figure out where the best place to hide out would be. He started looking around, trying to find whoever was there, but he couldn’t find anyone. When he had searched all the places he thought someone could hide, he shrugged and yelled out into the night “Alright I know you are there, come out now or I will find you” Not that he really thought that a person hiding would come out, but perhaps the person or persons would get startled and make some noise to help him find him or them.

To think that his own night portal would come to an end with a person who really liked to talk. Not like he could be really rude and just leave like some random person. But night like he didn't really mind. He did like to hear people out and it was nice to meet someone at this time of night that wasn't a Perfect portal member. Her being pretty cute was on the plus side. Another 'quiet' night with some small talk with a cute girl was a good way to end things.

But before Mamoru could speak out, he heard another voice calling out. Leaning forward from where he was, he looked down and saw someone. A Perfect was below them. This was just great and to think that he would be able to get some sleep tonight. But first thing was first, he looked over at at Melody. It was one thing that if he gets caught but like a hero, he couldn't let her get caught.

With a low tone a voice, he spoke to Melody. "Hey, we better get out of here. Seems like a Perfect might have spotted us." Slowly getting up, he made sure to stick with the shadows. "To think, I thought that I wouldn't have to deal with a Perfect tonight."

Melody looked at VanX oddly as he mentioned they should get away. "Wait. Maybe he's friendly?" She whispered back curiously, before bunching up to jump down. Soon she was down on the ground in front of the prefect after trading her cat ears, tail, and claws for a pair of white feathered wings. "Hey there~ I'm Melody, what's your name?" She greeted the prefect sweetly. Compared to him, she was easily looking up to see his face.

"So you were looking for someone? I just know I'm the only one here~" She told him. Her voice full of childish innocence as she easily hid the fact that VanX was with her up in the pillars. As for if the guy tried to read her mind or whatever, then he would be better off just searching the area. Mel literally had a mind that was impenetrable, and always running from thing to thing. Even the most serene of people would need mental rehailitation after attempting to read her mind.

Will was tensing preparing for some sort of sudden attack, which made him all the more surprised when suddenly a blond girl with white wings land in front of him. It was so much the opposite of what he had expected that Will couldn’t help but to crack a smile. The girl in front of him was clearly not a threat, the girl was even smaller then he was. “Well Melody, my name is Will.” Will still had the smile on his face from the surprise of Melody’s appearance. But then he remembered what he was doing.

He tried to put up a more serious face, but wasn’t completely successful “Well I am not looking for anyone in particular, just making sure that no one is out making trouble” He looked around, he didn’t know if there were anyone else around, he thought that maybe he sensed someone else, but he wasn’t sure. It might very well be true that Melody was the only one out here. “Well what are you doing out here yourself? You are not out coursing trouble are you?” He added the last with a slight smile, he didn’t think that she was. But even so, Will made sure to keep his guard up. He had heard that some students would attack prefects, and perhaps Melody was sent as some sort of distraction, he thought it better to keep his guard up, just to be on the safe side.

Before he could make his move to slip away, Mel already made her move and jumped down to say hello to the Prefect. He couldn't believe she just jumped down in front of him to say hi. Well now he couldn't just leave, he might as well see how things turn out. After all he knew things could turn 180 real quick. So Mamoru just stayed put for now and watched over the two. He didn't want to make the first move until he was sure that something would go wrong. But from where he was at, he could only see and not hear what they were saying. Maybe he should bring that up next time he sees his sister or turn in his suit for a tune up when it comes up.

He kept watching the two and everything seemed ok. Nothing really wrong here as the two seemed to be having a friendly chat. As he kept watch the wild picked up slightly from where he was and his scarf started to flow with the wind and make slight noises as it flapped in the wind. Mamoru didn't pay to much to it as he was use to the wind blowing and his scarf flapping to it.
