Basics
Name: yun tai feng
Nicknames: none that he recognizes
Age: sixteen
Birthday: september twenty-sixth
Grade: tenth
Power:Superhuman Speed ;; The core of Yun Tai's athleticism, this ability gives him an advantage over the others at the Ashford Academy for the Gifted in their physical education classes. Being his most used skill, it is constantly improving itself. Note that the speed stays almost the same speed, but the stamina is what limits his distance.
Enhanced Motion Perception ;; Coupled with his Superhuman Speed, Yun Tai is a force to be reckoned with in any sport. Enhanced Motion Perception is the ability to perceive fast moving objects clearly. For example, he would be able to perhaps dodge a bullet easily by watching the trajectory of the bullet or hitting a home run by observing a baseball's path.
Lactokinesis ;; Don't laugh, biotch. You won't be laughing when the cheese you ate earlier clogs your arteries and gives you a heart attack. No kidding, though, with Yun Tai's power over the domain of lactose and dairy products, pouring milk into his cereal has never been easier. Levitating yogurt and hurling it at people has gotten easier, too. Mortally ashamed of this embarrassing ability, he rarely uses it, and only very few know of his third skill. Also because it is rarely used, it is his weakest skill. Though he may threaten to choke you with the milk you drank, it is unlikely that he can. It goes without saying lactose intolerant people are perhaps this skill's greatest weakness. Once, a close friend had suggested getting breast milk 'fresh'. Though he never tried it, just laughing it off, he's still rather curious.

Appearance:Being of Asian descent -specifically Hong Kong- Yun Tai has the typical physical traits of an Asian. With somewhat slitted - or as he likes to call it - almond-shaped light brown eyes, it almost appears as if he always has a look of concentration. Or constipation, as a friend had once mentioned. He has a small, straight nose and a narrow face, which does nothing but undermine his modest height of five feet and five inches, making him appear slightly shorter. He sports choppy light brown hair that reaches down to his jaw that frames his face quite nicely. Because it's fairly long and may get in the way during his athletics, he often ties it into a short ponytail or uses a headband.
Yun Tai has a lean body type, weighing in at one hundred and thirty-six pounds. It goes without saying that he isn't built like a linebacker, but his build is perfectly acceptable in a variety of other sports. Lithe with a flat stomach and narrow shoulders, one wouldnt think he's as superb at sports as he is. He has fairly tan skin, but only because of the hours he spends outdoors. If not for that, Yun Tai would be reasonably pale, as seen in the winter months when there is little sun. He has multiple scars on his body, most of which are from accidents or sports-related injuries.
Yun Tai can be seen wearing a variety of different outfits. His signature, of course, being his athletic uniforms. When not on the court or the field, though, he prefers loose-fitting clothes that don't interfere with his movements. Wife-beaters and T-shirts are common articles of clothing in his attire for casual events. On cooler days, it can be accompanied by a hoodie or light jacket. Skinny jeans, while many people point out that they complement his figure well, are rarely ever worn for the sole reason of being too tight. He feels morew comfortable in sweat pants or slacks. Tight-fitting shirts, too, are rare to be seen on him. Excess accessories, including things like scarves or hats, don't even grace his closet, although he will wear earmuffs, gloves, and sunglasses. First and foremost a 'speedster' as Wikipedia calls it, he almost always wears his running shoes.

Overall Personality:Sarcastic, hardened, and ignorant of other's feelings, Yun Tai has a reputation of being a jackass. Capitalizing this image is his certain passive aggressive habit of talking to people he finds no interest in. He may often use subtle messages in his words, stating his disapproval or uninterest. In this way, he tends to intimidate people lured in by his excellent sportsmanship. He also has a great sense of pride - especially in athletics and even his below average grades, and though at times it may seem crippling, he never overestimates himself. He may seem kind in appearance, but his foul mouth and insensitivity puts off potential companions.
Though he may appear as a young man of much discipline, aloofness, and impatience, Yun Tai is quite the opposite. Though his appearance may put you off otherwise, be assured that he isn't the hardass that he appears to be. In fact, while he may pretend to be uninvolved and uninterested, he is eager-to-please and rather kind. He puts on a fairly believable facade, a mask shown to others as to appear strong. The predator rather than the prey, so to speak.
In reality, Yun Tai is a rather docile man. Contrary to his somewhat brash and stoic made-up persona, he is quieter and more thoughtful, philosophical even. He seems as if he doesn't take anything but his athletics seriously when he actually frets over many things. He tends to have a bad habit of never expressing himself honestly, bordering on lying compulsively. Even so, he usually has good intentions for his actions, even if it may at first seem harmful.
Because of this attitude, Yun Tai can be rather blunt and harsh with his words, rarely ever considering another's feelings. He's easily embarrassed, and doesn't like being put on the spot - unless it's in sports. He can also be somewhat hostile at first, always on guard. And he tends to show that he cares in indirect ways, and even may deny it when its pointed out. In short, he can act like a total ass but be blushing and stuttering the entire time.
History
Family Members/Guardians:father ;; Dian Wen Feng
mother ;; Xia Rong Gan
elder brother ;; Kang Li Feng
elder sister ;; Tiao Wo Feng
History:Dian Wen Feng was a promising law student, full of vigor and enthusiasm for his career choice. He had always thought of lawyers as super heroes. People who would defend the innocent and fight evil. He wanted to be a super hero. Xia Rong Gan was a shy pastry chef apprentice with dreams of opening her own bakery. She had always adored the idea of making people happy with her baking. After having met at the bakery where Xia Rong worked, Dian Wen continued visiting her as often as his studies allowed and, as a true gentleman, bringing her gifts. This courtship continued until he graduated when he proposed.
The rest of the story goes rather mundanely. The two bought a house together, each working in their respective careers. Their first child was Tiao Wo, a beautiful baby girl whom they loved and cherished. Around that time, Dian Wen began making a name for himself while Xia Rong was consumed by her work and new success. Therefore, Tiao Wo was left isolated with nannies and babysitters.
With their busy lives, Dian Wen and Xia Rong shifted from lovebirds to business partners. It was a miracle that they were able to conceive another child when Xia Rong was eight. Kang Li was a small baby, and Xia Rong was amazed at his delicacy. She made it a goal for herself to protect her younger brother. As both parents drifted away from each other and their families, Xia Rong took it upon herself to rear Kang Li.
Without parental supervision, though, Xia Rong grew into a rebellious young woman. At only twelve, she had the attitude of a hormonal teenager. It was at that time when Yun Tai was born. Again, Xia Rong decided to 'adopt' her younger brother. But, as the years passed, it was clear that Xia Rong was not a good influence on the child and toddler. After having an argument about their well-being, the now alarmed parents hastily disowned their sixteen-year-old daughter and took it upon themselves to overseer their children's lifestyle.
Contrary to their previous uninvolved status in their lives, Kang Li and Yun Tai quickly began to feel the pressure of overbearing parents. The elder brother rapidly accustomed himself to this lifestyle. But Yun Tai, who had always looked up to his sister, also had a rebellious streak and did not appreciate his parents making choices for him.
Yun Tai most certainly did not like the extracuricullar his parents assigned him. Piano lessons were too tedious. Violin was too strict. Chess club was boring. Theatre had been too full of fake expressions. Choir was incredibly meaningless. But probably the best thing his father had ever done for him was sign him up for baseball.
As a child, Yun Tai had always been in love with idea of moving faster. To accelerate to the point of leaving everything behind him and all he ahd to look forward to was ahead of him. There was nothing quite like the thrill of speed. And the enthusiasm he felt for sports was explosive. He dropped all other activities - much to his parents' disapproval and dissapointment - and focussed wholly on sports while his elder brother obediently followed their parents.
While taking on new athletic activities, it became apparent that Yun Tai didn't have just his natural physique aiding him, particularly when he began matching the pace of an Olympic sprinter at the age of thirteen. As news of this miracle boy spread, a team of Ashford Academy investigators took an interest in him.
"You can't catch the wind. " Yun Tai had defiantly told them when they had come to recruit him into a 'high class private school'. Looking up to his parents, sure that they would agree, he was met with a look of distance. A look that told him that they indeed can - and would - catch the wind. They would bottle it up, suffocate it. And his parents wouldn't lift a finger to prevent it.
And so, with a bitter barrier between parents and son, Yun Tai was taken away. He later learned that his father had been employed by the academy before to take care of some business with a few unsavory suers. And had continued to be hired. On holidays, he never went to visit his parents. His brother, occassionally. But he stayed with his older sister and her boyfriend - now husband.
If not for the way they're treated like inmates, Yun Tai would be on the Battle Front just because he can. He would not be caged, told what to do, where to do it, and when to do it. If anything, he may seem like a loose cannon to other Battle Front members. But, he would assure, this loose cannon was aimed at the Prefects.

From One Kiss. RIPIf school had a face, then Yun Tai Cong would most certainly kick it in the balls.
Though he felt this way, there were some times when school became a source of comfort. As much as he hated to admit it, Yun Tai enjoyed doing well in school. He liked to be praised by his teachers and receive good marks on his exams. Getting to that point, though, was the huge hassle. Studying tended to just confuse poor little him, he couldn't seem to find time for cram school among his other extracurricular activities, and he wouldn't stoop so low as to hire a tutor.
That wasn't the only aspect school of school Yun Tai liked, though.
Psh, he didn't like getting love letters in locker. N-No, not at all... Stupid. They were troublesome, looking all cute and giving off this vibe that forced him to read it over and over again until he liked it as if he had some obligation. It was especially bothersome when he got cookies on St. Valentine's Day. G-Geez, making him eat them when he had to stay in shape for basketball season. They were really good, though. It was surprising what some boys could make... B-But still, it was an unfortunate distraction from his daily life.
Such a big distraction that when Yun Tai discovered no letters in his locker one day, it was like he hated school even more. For the whole school year, it's been like that. He brushed it off, though, as if it was no big deal. Though it seemed as if he just let it roll off of his shoulders, it did bite at him. Had he lost his charm, he wondered? Granted, he lost a bit of his 'lone wolf' image he had created in his first year when he began associating more with people this year. He hadn't changed that much, he figured. He still received confessions in person, just nothing in his locker. He decided not too change just because of some silly love letters, though.
Which was why Yun Tai wasn't surprised to find his locker empty of any letters this morning. He inwardly sighed, then inwardly slapped himself. Looking up from his locker, he saw a flash of blonde hair bound up the stair case. Sora Asahina was the first person to pop into his head. Sporting bright blonde hair, he and the raven-haired teenager had become rather good friends since the last summer. Though they were able maintain their friendship despite being in different years, Yun Tai rarely saw him in the time before school started.
He sneaked a glance at his watch and decided that there was enough time to seek the younger male out. He started up the stairs to check for him in his homeroom classroom. After asking, it appeared as if Sora hadn't stopped in. It occurred to Yun Tai that it may not have been him after all; however, he continued on his ascent, stopping into a classroom now and then to see if he might have stopped there.
His search eventually led him to the roof. Hesitantly, he pushed open the metal door, feeling it give way to his strength. It was indeed Sora who he had seen earlier. Rather relieved that he hadn't barged up to the roof for nothing, Yun Tai gently shut the door behind him and spoke. "Yo!
"Whatcha up to, Sora?"
[/blockquote]
