A world without powers.

So this is a what if scenario where our beloved students are in a world with out Gifted powers. What would they be doing? A world without powers means a world of a normal life right? I thought it would be a fine idea to have to see what they would be doing in they weren't in the school and lived out their daily lives.

I see Mamoru taking one of two paths if he lived in a world without powers, one being that of a boxer. For a guy who only knows how to fight and take a punch, seems like this would be the right thing to go with. The other is most likely he'll join the police force due to his sense of justice and wanting to help people. There is a third path and that he might just be a drifter who helps people in need. Powers or no powers, he'll still go out and help people out without a second thought.

I see Cali going maybe one of two ways, or maybe even both. I can see her possibly being an agent for the CIA (oh the irony in her working for the government...). She does have a high sense of justice and her natural skill set (her leadership, athleticism and intelligence) would make her a great candidate for any kind of cov ops. Since she is a very secretive person to begin with.

Second would be a more simple dream. She would follow old dream of being a professional dancer, possibly becoming quite famous.

Lyra would obviously become a famous singer. She would travel the globe before settling down and getting married. No question there.

Meredith: An awkward girl throughout high school. Never really finds herself until college. Marries and has children young and builds her identity around being a good mother and a loving mother figure to everyone around her. Majors in child development and opens a successful daycare program. Pretty average life.

Isabelle: Her life plays out pretty much the same way as it does in Ashford. Her parents get her out of their way by shipping her to boarding school, where she tries too hard to garner attention from them and others by being a rebellious party girl. All of the effort to get attention and continuously being forgotten by those who supposedly care leads her to go too far and OD.

Tristan: Opens up a martial arts school, finds his siblings, and takes them away from their abusive parents.

Kayla -
Kayla's high emotional despair and lack of a way to take out her frustrstions would lead to her shutting down, she would idle her way through highschool, slowly getting back to her old self before senior year.

She would go to a university, where she would fully return out of her shell and go on to be a best selling novelist and a child couselor, never wanting anyone to feel the way she did ever again.

Charlotte - in a world without powers, Charlotte would be immensely different. She would have remained in an orphanage somewhere, possibly getting adopted by a family.

She would be a fun-loving, free wheeling teenager, eventually becoming a fashion designer, who takes her inspiration from nature

Bridget: Well, it could go one of two ways. The first being that she never got into stealing and simply made her way through high school. Barely graduating as she was never a fan of school work. Goofing around with her friends all the way, holding them close to her heart. She would most likely travel the country in her younger years, possibly finding someone to settle down with, while remaining close with her father. The second, she still developed a habit of crime and continued to work with her father's men, though he was clearly against it. However, he would cave over time and they would run the family business together. Bridget would eventually take over and leave a more solitary life, possibly finding someone to spend her free time with.

Samara: She would continue with her solitary life in high school, keeping close to her brother. While he continued in his career path she would stay in contact with him but go into a good college. Most likely she would become a scientist or an engineer. As for her personal life she'd live out most of her life on her own, unless someone managed to break her shell.

Naomi: The happy, carefree teen would most likely have a ball in regular high school. She'd be in a million and one clubs while balancing cheer leading or gymnastics. She'd fly off to college, not too far from home. Most likely becoming some thing that can handle her high strong and friendly attitude. She'd deal with lose and heartbreak but never let it keep her down. Eventually, she'd have a family of her own and life out a normal happy life.

Ashton: He'd learn to deal with the death of his father (without destroying the backyard), becoming very protective of his family members. Somehow he'd manage to pass through high school with somewhat decent grades. He'd skip out of college and go straight to work, most likely a mechanic. One day he'd meet a girl that was able to challenge him and he'd settle down.

Haven: Her life would have made her miserable without her powers as an escape from her mother. She would have continued with her lessons at home, continuing to be made into the perfect doll her mother had expected her daughter to be. Eventually, Haven would have caved and simply followed her mother and grandmother's wishes. With that she would continue life by their expectations. More likely she would have had her marriage set up for, without much struggle from the now quiet girl. Thus, her life would have continued to be the perfect doll, staying at home with the children and not truly begin to live until her mother had passed.

Sophia: Her whole life would be different if her powers didn't run in her family. They would live in a small home in Germany after the move, no difference, and she would continue to go through school. Making new friends and finding her passions. She'd have a good life and she'd still have her family with her. I think she'd live a fairly normal life, perhaps becoming a professional runner or Literary Teacher.

Roxanna: If her powers weren't in existence than neither would Ky's. That would resulted in her getting raped that fateful night so long ago. If she and her siblings survived than they would have continued living on the streets. She wouldn't be as bold or outgoing, rather quiet and avoiding getting physically close with people. Once she could she'd get a job in some simple trade and try to work through her life. She'd struggle but always managing, as well as helping her family when she could. She'd have a hard life but one that she could handle.
