Basics
Name: Adara Jane Mori
Nicknames: AJ, Ara, Ara-chan, Ada
Age: 17
Birthday: July 28th
Grade: 11th
Power:
Weapon Manipulation: She has the ability to manipulate, control, create, any kind of weapon in theory. However, she has only managed to been able to produce muscled powered weapons such as swords, bows, and knives. She can't seem to create any automatic weapons, mainly guns, nor does she really have a desire to. She can create multiple weapons at once but no more than ten pieces of equipment at a time. It is also very energy based. The more energy she has the better her weapons are, the weaker she is they become more fragile. If she's truly exhausted they'll become as effective as children's toys and the number she can produce lowers.
Enhanced Combat: She has the ability to pick up on nearly any form of combat in practically no time at all. This allows her to become at a near master level of different styles, hand to hand as well as with weapons becoming nearly natural with them. However, she does need a visual performance at least three before it really kicks in and she picks up on it at a super human rate. Before that it's merely quickly picking up on the skills.
Danger Intuition - The cognitive power to detect impending threats. She can sense if someone is about to attack her yet it only works if the intents are clear. If they are clear it’s like bells going off inside her head. If someone is unsure it’s a muddled mess inside her head, like a small buzzing noise of a fly.

Appearance:
Standing at her full height Adara reaches 5’7, normally she stands tall and proud with her chin up. She glides across a room very gracefully with her slim figure yet with some very noticeable curves. Her fair skin is matching with her blonde hair. Her hair is more often than not pulled back near the top of her head. The center sections of her bangs pulled back to stay out of her eyes so she never has a problem in fights, while two pieces on the side hang down to her chin. Her second most notable feature is her dark violet eyes that always appear to have somewhat of a cocky glint to them.
Her body, as lovely as it appears when covered up is covered in scars, however there are a few that are larger than others. Three scars reach the length of her back starting at the base of her neck jagged and almost a light pink in color. Her right arm has many smaller scars from her own doing, falling as well as practices. The one that stands out is goes across the back of her hand running horizontal with her knuckles. There are also two decorating her face, the two she is most ashamed of and tries to hide with her bangs. The first runs horizontally across her forehead, the second vertical down her left cheek. She hates each of these scars with a passion, believing they hold shame. They are also the reason she denies any compliments referring to her appearance.
As for dress she wears the school uniform without issues but often runs straight to her dorm to change after the bell rings. When not simply hanging around her dorm she’ll wear a leather jacket majority of the time with some sort of tank top underneath. Jeans, ripped or intact, is normal but she’ll also change things up once in a while. She has a pair of black high-heel boots that come just before her knees at all times as she hides her Kunais. Around her dorm she’ll wear a leaf decorated black kimono held by a red obi. It is missing a right sleeve and exposes her right leg which is covered with a fishnet stocking.

Overall Personality:
Normally, everyone has at least one layer of protection, a shell, to hide themselves from the world. Adara has nearly perfect this shell into multiple layers of amour. To a stranger she will appear very quiet, nearly silent, and almost calculating. When forced to talk she uses a very formal tone that allows her to keep her distance within the conversation. That distance is very important to her as she refuses to get emotionally attached to anyone. She’d prefer if she was simply on her own she didn’t have to worry about anyone or rely on anyone else for help. In that way she’s very much of a lone wolf, liking to be on her own sketching or training instead of partaking in group activities like a normal teen.
While she doesn’t normally like group settings she can caring on a fairly good conversation when she’s settled and decided you aren’t a threat. Adara is much friendly when it’s one on one, though her friendly is still fairly cold for everyone else. However, deep under her shell she can be warm and caring. Often you’ll see this with her child hood friend or if she’s helping someone who’s injured. Then you’ll see a slightly warmer smile cross her face, her appearance becoming slightly softer while at the same time she tries not to let her guard drop. She many not exactly be caring all the time she is fiercely loyal to those who have managed to earn her trust or are within her family.
Even hidden behind the frontal shell of a fighter and cold person, underneath the slightly caring girl, there’s another part of her that she would do anything to hide. It’s the fact that she nearly fears emotion and is extremely self-conscious. She doesn’t want to feel, she believes she’ll be stronger if she remains cold and defiant. There’s a constant fear of being weak in the eyes of others. Adara has a need to prove herself to anyone, to prove that she is not in any way weak as it was often question in her home. It remained even after people stopped questioning her. Not to mention the amount of shame she carries on her shoulders. Which is often why she won’t show off her skin, her scars are a reminder of her past which she’s ashamed off.
Moving past the deeply embedded shame there’s a part of her that runs through and through. No matter the level of her personality she’s a fighter. She will do anything it takes to win a fight, though when she knows she’s beaten at times she’ll back off if it risks others getting harmed. That’s rather rare of course. Instead she constantly tries to prove that she is strong and can handle/ protect herself from others. She has always needed to be strong and won’t give in in the slightest. That’s always aided with her temper which can often get the better of her and cloud her judgment. She is trying to work on that but at times she does only see red and fully regrets letting her anger take over after.

History:
Set deep within the Skirakami- Sanchi forest of Japan there lay a small village. Hidden high in the tree tops of the ancient trees. This village didn’t consist of your normal day to day families, but instead a home outcasts otherwise known was ninjas. Their leader, Ken’ichi Mori, was a disgraced samurai who constructed this place with the help of his brothers and allowed other families to come and join after rigorous training and background checks. Slowly, as they refined their skills and their numbers grew they became a very powerful clan. They rivaled the best in the land and often took on jobs that no one else could handle. This of course, was centuries ago.
In the present day the clan was still in existence, running as smooth and efficiently as even with Taiki Mori with its leader. With strong family ties at the base of its power the Taiki was excitedly waiting for the newest addition to the clan. This family member would be the first born child of Taiki’s younger brother Ryo, and most hoped for the birth of a baby boy. Things did not go as planned instead Hana, the mother, was lost during childbirth leaving a young baby girl as her last gift to the world. Breathing a soft name with her last breath, Adara.
Ryo couldn’t help the disappointment and depression that slowly devoured his very existence. He found raising the small girl nearly impossible without his beloved wife. It wasn’t long before he looked for other ways to let his building aggression out. One night, leaving his child with his brother he went to the city far away from their home. There he lost himself in his sorrows, hoping to find a solution at the bottom of a bottle. Sadly, he never found it and as he exited the bar in a stumbling fashion he picked a fight with the wrong person. Having been so intoxicated he couldn’t defend himself, even for as skilled as he was. The next day he died in the hospital of his wounds.
Taiki took the young child into his home without a second thought. She grew up with his son and his wife as if she were a part of the family. He trained her in the ways of the samurai as she showed much promise. He was harder on her, because of her gender, so she could keep up with the boys. By the time they were seven she had surpassed Taiki’s son in hand to hand combat. He began pitting her against larger and stronger opponents. After the young girl proven that she could handle herself she was given her first kanai. She practiced with the weapon every day. It took her a week or so before she could battle with it efficiently enough to have to keep Taiki on his toes.
It wasn’t long before Adara had someone else to practice with as well. While she was young there was blooming of peace between the Mori clan and its two neighboring clans. While she practiced she made friends with the head of the clans’ sons. Grey and Zaid. From the beginning they often battled and fought. Especially the young Adara and Zaid as they constantly argued over who was more skilled, which clan was better. At times it was ridiculous but never the less she came to have a soft spot for both of the boys. Which helped aid the growing peace between the clans blossom into a time of joy.
At this point she was nine or so and another tragedy struck their clan. Taiki had taken the two children with him on a meeting with another clan leader. They were mock fighting, they made the mistake of playing with actual weapons. This became too heated between the two and two of the other clan’s meeting. An accident occurred, Taiki’s son was hit in the side with a katana. Letting her anger get the better of her she attacked the other clan’s children leaving them both a bleeding on the floor, though nothing serious. She didn’t leave unharmed as she went to retrieved Taiki, a slash ran across her forehead where she was hit. When they got back it was already too late, Taiki’s son was gone.
His wound had been deeper than Adara expected, if she had known how serious it was she wouldn’t have attacked the others. Instead she would have ran for her adoptive father straight away. Due to this she blames herself for Taiki’s grief and the death of his only child. The scar on her forehead is a constant reminder of her mistake and she attempts to use it to remind herself to always be aware of what was happening to others. Had she been aware of Taiki’s son, perhaps things would have turned out differently. Adara trained harder after that, anyway to make up for the loss of his son, to try to do whatever she could to make it up to her beloved Taiki.
Of course, it didn’t work in the way she expected. Her first assumption was that Taiki was going to hate her for letting this occur. It actually provoked him to have her become his successor. Becoming colder and tougher on the girl she concealed her emotions and focused on training, often brushing aside friends for training sessions or other trivial things kids would enjoy. She spent nearly all her time in the dojo only forced out to eat and to work on her studies. When she turned eleven she was taken to more and more meetings truly learning the job of leader. At times she was called ‘Taiki’s shadow’ since she was never far away.
She continued this way for a long while until her powers began to come in. She first noticed it as Kunais started popping up all over the place. Eventually, she started to realize that she could control them. After this she began working with it in private, trying to learn how to control it. It took years of working on her own in the dojo but she managed to get some of it under control as well as picked up on her other, more subtle powers. While she was proud of this she kept it a secret, even from Taiki, so that it wouldn’t effect anyone’s thought of her.
At this point she was supposed to be in high school but she continued to home school. Taiki was growing ill. The doctors had diagnosed it as cancer. In other words, it was only a matter of time. While he was lying in bed too weak to move he named her the clan leader while he was unable to do his duty. Leading the clan put a new pressure and stress on her. Meeting the new leaders she tried to maintain peace with the one clan yet found it increasingly difficult as the peace was on the edge of a knife. The air of war seemed to surround the clan meetings as the leaders seemed to disagree more and more often. Then, it happened.
The single spark that began a war. There was an assassination of another clan. Before she could help it the Mori clan was sucked into a deadly war against her two childhood friends. Death and destruction surrounded her for months as the ninja’s laid waste to each other hidden by the ancient trees and sly attacks. Continuously she wondered how they managed to keep under the radar. Even more so she wondered how she could possibly do this as her mentor and father figure lay dying. More blood was shed in that short amount of time than she had ever remembered before.
One night they hit too close to home. She walked into Taiki’s home to check on him only to see that another assassin was about to slit her only family member’s throat. Within a second she attacked, locked into a fierce battle with this masked man. Blow after blow they matched until she slipped up resulting in Adara being thrown to the other side of the room. Just a moment later she looked up to see the light from Taiki’s eyes fade as his throat became a bloody mess. She had failed him. Despair and rage fought their own war inside her as knives suddenly appeared in the air surrounding the assassin. A second later his body was sliced through and through. That fight gave her the scar running down her cheek, yet another painful reminder of a failure.
The girl went on a rampage, leading a silent attack force through the forest intent on killing whoever ordered his death. There was no stopping the girl until her forced locked with the Aikino clan and another. Figuring it had been Zaid who ordered the attack, knowing it would cripple her emotionally and mentally she went after him as well as punish her for being an ally with the clan who began the war itself. Darting through the battle field it wasn’t until she saw his form crippled against a wall that she stopped next to him. With childhood memories flashing through her mind she couldn’t kill him, hesitation next to his bowed head she flinched as his sword flashed up. Expecting to die.
Instead his sword ran through the man who had snuck up behind Adara, saving her. Shocked through and through she protected him for the rest of the battle. Ordering a retreat of her own troops and managed to get him to safety. Patching his wounds she waited till morning till she left. Later, once again she came to face the Akino clan. This time on her own to speak with Zaid. This is when she watched him turn ‘dark’ for the first time and slaughtered an entire clan. She was speechless as she stayed hidden. After that she rushed to form a treaty with the clan as he was taken away.
One condition was that she would have to look over him at this new place. A government run ‘school’ that the clan didn’t trust but had no choice in his enrollment. She agreed, of course, to ensure peace with her clan. Besides, she still felt she owed him her life. So, Adara shortly after left one of Taiki’s trusted advisors in charge of her beloved clan and enrolled in Ashford herself. She gained no happiness from this but at least she knew that her clan would be safe. She had faith that the Akino clan would keep their end of the bargain and now she simply had to keep hers.
