Violet eyes stared back at the small blonde from the mirror in the girl’s room. “This is bloody insane,” She muttered as she shook her head lightly. Never before had she attempted something so daring, something so off the wall. Braving the streets of London, fists swinging, with her family had been day to day life. Running her mouth off to people she shouldn’t be? No problem. Nicking something from a stand outside or the pocket of a wealthy citizen? Child’s play. This however, this was something completely different for the street rat. This was much more challenging. In just a few minutes she was about to be faced with a school dance. The horror of it all.
Glancing down at herself she felt utterly ridiculous. Far outside of her comfort zone of jeans and a hoodie she had been dressed like this, well save the shoes. She wore a black dress which fell somewhere between mid-thigh and her knees. It held an elegant rose like design in silver thread around her waist with a slight ruffle for the fabric covering her sweet heat neckline. Of course it didn’t have sleeves and showed off her still developing figure to its fullest. This is what she got for letting her sister pick her dress out. At least Roxanna was somewhat comfortable with her converse on instead of heels and the purple stone that hung around her neck, bringing out the color of her eyes.
Giving another sigh Roxanna pulled her hair back into a slightly messy French braid. At least she knew her braid looked somewhat good and showed over her adorable skull earrings. Setting her hands on her hips she looked herself over once. She wasn’t sure how to feel, it most certainly wasn’t the rough and tough appearance she was used to. Roxi was just about ready to call it a night when her sister’s excited, high strong voice echoed in her ears. Of course she had to go. Her sister was forcing her to. Not to mention she did have a certain bloke that would hopefully be waiting around for her. Just the thought of a bloke actually being interested made her nervous.
Shaking her hands out, Roxi didn’t waste another minute and forced her small frame out the door of her dorm. She blocked out all of her thoughts as she walked down the gym and let the silly fears run away from her. The exact same way she went into a fight. Clear head and focused on one intent. It hardly mattered that this intent was just getting to the gym. Just a few more moments and she was at the gym door, she could hear the ‘popular’ music on the other side of the door. If only her sister had been here now to push her through. It didn’t matter, she was a big girl and could do it herself. Pushing her way through the entrance she quickly found a wall to lean against as she surveyed the scene.
Bright banners and balloons coated the place she usually found most relaxing. Relaxing being a place she could let loose and get some aggression out. Her violet eyes bounced from the decorations to the food stand, lingering there for a moment. Sadly, she saw the prices as she could almost feel her stomach sag in disappointment with the rest of her. Her gaze continued to roam until she locked on the mod of students in the center. Blinking once she tried to pick out the different colors of the auras in the crowd. The obvious mood of bliss, lust, anxious, and ecstatic. Rolling her eyes she looked at her feet which were promptly crossed as she put most of her weight against the wall. “Wazzocks…” She muttered, shaking her head lightly as she looked around for someone who wasn't a dancing fool to talk with.
