Basics
Name: born Hannah Grace Wilder
Nicknames: Dorian, Dory
Age: eighteen
Birthday: november 3rd
Grade: 12th
Power:
shapeshifting. dorian discovered his power pretty late in his childhood, which is to temporarily take on the form of another person. like all powers, his also has limitations. to start off, dorian has to have already met the person, face to face and has had skin contact with them for at least five seconds. whether it's through a handshake, a hug, a pat on the back- as long as his skin was touching yours, he turn his body into your body for about twenty minutes. he can do this as many times as he wants in a day, but the more times he does, the less time he can spend pretending to be that person. once that twenty minutes is used up, he cannot use his power for the rest of the day. it is currently unknown of twenty is the maximum time he could ever shift, or if it is just how long he can control his power before involuntarily shifting back. meaning in the future, it is possible that his maximum time using his powers could increase.
Member Group: neutral
Canon or not: nope
Appearance:
Dorian stands about five foot six, with two toned hair. the top part of his head is a darker blue/light navy colour, the other half being a significantly lighter blue. There are hints of feminine attributes that Dorian displays, such as his breasts (while smaller, are still somewhat noticeable). There is also the matter of his slightly bigger hips, which is one of his biggest insecurities. Typically, Dorian will wear baggy clothes to try and hide his feminine curves, such as sweatshirts/hoodies and jeans. He often wears beanies and is shown to be a big fan of flannel shirts and the band shirts. While he is technically required to wear his glasses all the time, due to a bad astigmatism, he only wears them about half of the time. DOrian also has several piercings, most of which, he did himself. He had been stretching his ears before he was carted off to Ashford, but has since given himself several more ear piercings, not that people really notice those much.

Overall Personality:
Like many people, Dorian is a pretty friendly person, as long as you're nice to him. He'll go out of his way to be polite to people he's just met, but tends to quickly become defensive if people become too invasive with questions. And unfortunately for him, it seems to be all he ever gets. Due to past experiences with confiding in people about his long term identity crisis, Dorian has become somewhat shut off about who he talks to, making it difficult for many to really become good friends of his. Still, it's certainly not impossible. It's all just a matter of patience with him.
Otherwise, Dorian is a pretty relaxed person. When he has reassured himself that he is a damn good person, despite his current situation, he tries to be the cool friend. The one that simply permeates 'whatever' or the sunglasses emoji. With the musician aspect to him, this may or may not make this move more effective. He is probably one of the most accepting people you'll come across, for reasons that are evident to anyone who has been reading this application, and thus, tends to attract people of caliber similar to his own.
Like many of the other children here, Dorian is shown to possess some sort of intelligence. Unfortunately, combined with his own laziness and ever growing self-doubt, he does not see this as much as some of the others. He barely applies himself, and is not really viewed to be that special in terms of academics. The only thing he really thinks he's good at is playing music, which has not really been able to do since arriving at Ashford sometime ago. [/blockquote]

History:
born and raised in a small town in Iowa, Hannah Grace Wilder spent most of her childhood feeling different. She never had the same interests as her female friends, who wanted to paint their nails and play dress up. She also never really fit in with her male friends whose favourite games included 'guns'. Her parents, fearful that Hannah needed a way to express herself, signed her up for piano lessons at age eight, for which she was extremely grateful. Hannah took to piano like a fish to water, and as she got older- picked up instruments along the way. She especially found great joy playing the guitar, which she got for her 13th birthday from her grandparents.
As Hannah approached her teens, that odd feeling of not belonging started to increase- especially when she hit puberty. She hated that her breasts were growing, her body growing into a way that she didn't want it to. She began to think that maybe she wasn't supposed to a girl. She hadn't really thought of it much before- but, she sure as hell didn't feel like one. It didn't occur to her until much later that, this was something that other people experienced.
It wasn't until the night that she discovered her gift that she even realized that it was all possible. She had been staring at herself in the mirror, facing the same on-going identity crisis she had been having all summer. It wasn't until she thought of her best guy friend, wanting nothing more than to maybe look like him that she found that she did.

Here he was again. Staring at his own reflection in his vanity around 11 at night. Why he did this so much, when he knew that this would only cause him more hurt, he didn't know. He just couldn't tear his eyes away. He just couldn't stop caressing his own body- the one he hated, in hopes that maybe somehow it would go away if he wished hard enough. After several minutes of glaring at his own reflection, he moved frustratingly away from the vanity and flopped on the edge of his bed. He stared absently up at his ceiling, the same questions running through his head. Most of them containing variations of "why". Why did this have to happen to him.. Her? He didn't like 'her'. The way it sounded when people addressed him by his birthname. The way it sounded when people used those pronouns that so just did not fit him. It made his skin crawl.
But it wasn't their fault. It wasn't like he had ever told them that he didn't like it. Not that they would understand either. It's not like anyone around here ever really questioned themselves the way he did. Everyone was just dandy with the sex they had been assigned. He had always been more of a "tomboy", so people weren't terribly surprised when he cut off a good chunk of his previously long hair, or started wearing more band shirts. He didn't know if that meant that he didn't care, or if people just didn't really notice. Either way, he supposed it was better than having people care negatively?
He closed his eyes for a moment, a Tool song he knew by heart quietly lulling him to sleep. Oh, how he wished he could look any way different than he already did. Maybe like his friend Eddie. Eddie was big, strong. He'd kill to look anything like Eddie. Shit, who was he kidding?
He was pulled from his near sleep but a sudden change in base. A loud one, too. Instantly, he jerked up and hurried over to his boombox on a shelf next to his vanity to turn it off. Quickly, he slammed his fist on the power button, and the music stopped. He went to go to bed, but soon found himself staring once again at the mirror. What he saw wasn't the person named Hannah with identity issues. It was Eddie.
