I just thought this may be a fun way to practice our writing. Once a Week (every Friday)I will post a random writing prompt and then everyone can post in this thread with their response to the prompt! Sound fun? The prompts will have great variety,one things relating to real life, to things relating to the site, to just silly ones. Its up to you which ones you want to participate in. Length is also up to you. It can be 10 words for 10,000. You can respond to any of the prompts, just make sure you mark your post with the prompt number. Got it? Lets do it.

Prompt # 1: Take A CtB character and put them into the fandom of your choice!

There was nothing but darkness in her vision; black was the only color her eyes could see. That, of course, was due to the thin flaps of pale skin that covered her sapphire irises and raven pupils. Despite the fact that, in reality, she was unconscious, she swam in an odd place between the world of dreams and the real world. Crimson spotted the corners of her vision, and she felt an extreme acceleration in her chest. Adrenaline rushed through her veins as thin, dark hairs brushed gently against the slightly purple circles that marred creamy, porcelain skin. Footsteps pulled her from the crimson darkness and she bolted upright, looking around. It was nighttime, so everything was shrouded in the dark gray shadow that typically accompanied that time of day. The crunching sounds the grass made under the soles of someone else’s feet became faster paced and closer and she whipped around, training her eyes on the unfamiliar trees around her. The edges of the leaves were not right; they were hard and angled, unlike the swooping, soft curve of the leaves of the tropical trees. The trunks of the trees were too thick and straight, unlike the slight bend of the trees on the island. She felt a chill crawl up her spine that spread across her entire body; it was cold. Too cold. This is not a tropical climate, she thought to herself, walking slowly over to a nearby tree to stand behind it tentatively. Whoever was moving stopped, because the crunching of grass underfoot seemed to disappear as well. She let out a relieved sigh and leaned on her right foot, as if she meant to move out from behind the tree. That is, until a voice stopped her in her tracks.

“You, there! Yes, you, little girl! Where do you think you’re going? And why are you out of the dorm this late?” a masculine voice demanded, echoing in the empty space of the clearing.

She listened closely, trying to find the direction of the voice that was speaking to her. She was half tempted to tell the voice to go to hell, but she supposed that the voice belonged to a person and was not just a figment of her imagination. Instead of moving, she stood incredibly still, as if her spinal cord was somehow damaged and she could not move her legs because the motor neuron connections had been severed. Something ghosted against the back of her neck a few moments later and she nearly jumped out of her skin, letting out a loud yelp of surprise as she toppled to the ground. She had twisted herself on the way down so that, somehow, the back of her head ended up bonking against the rough bark of the tree. Ouch, that’s going to leave a mark, she thought, pouting slightly. The crunching began again and she turned her now-injured and internally throbbing head up to see two people standing side by side. The mere sight of them made her burst out into a fit of giggles; they looked ridiculous! The boy towered over the girl by nearly an entire foot, or at least, from her perspective. The black uniforms they wore made them look like ghosts, since their skin tones were a similar, pale shade. The girl had her hands on her hips and was trying to put a stern look on her face, but she only made the brunette leaning against the tree laugh harder, tipping over and rolling slightly to avoid hitting her head on the tree as she laughed. She looked up at the young man, who stared at her with piercing lavender eyes, which made her giggle more. Who in the world had purple eyes? Sure, some of her friends had eyes that bordered on indigo, but the color of the iris was closer to blue than purple. After composing herself, she grinned cheekily, as if trying to make up for her disheveled appearance, consisting of a white blazer now stained with green, a red shirt that had blades of grass clinging to it (inside and out), and her skirt, which was nearly hiked up to the tops of her thighs.

“Are you a member of the night class? If so, you’re wearing the wrong uniform, and you must go back to class,” the girl demanded, her forehead creasing slightly. 

The disheveled young woman splayed out on the ground blinked, her nose wrinkling at the other teens words. She noticed the young man looking away, a rosy pink color tinging his cheeks as he did so. She was about to ask what his problem was until she realized that her position was quite sexual in nature, despite the fact that it was caused by her rolling around, laughing like a moron. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a pale color and sat up, pulling the darkness down to cover said paleness. She glared at the young man, who seemed less tense after she sat up and adjusted her skirt. She crossed her arms over her chest, feeling blades of grass fall where they should not have and squirmed a bit, trying to keep her facial expression even. The two teens, clad in all black with white armbands with red lines and some kind of red design on them, though she could not see it clearly. She looked at both of them, trying to get a better observation of their features. What baffled her was that the softer features belonged to the one that she thought would have more angular features, given the person’s attitude. The angular features were displayed on a face that tried to look threatening, but she just found it more amusing than anything. She let out an unenthused yawn before placing her hands behind her head. She turned her eyes to the young man’s and damn, his irises were still that freaky lavender color!

“Oi, Lavender, quit staring at my thighs! I know they’re huge, but seriously. Perv… And as for you, Little Miss ‘I’m Too Pathetic to be Tough’, would you care to explain what the hell a “night class” is? Classes end at three, in case you fell on your head and suddenly got amnesia, dummy…” Camila replied before looking down to try and button the button below the top button on her red blouse.

"Just who the hell are you anyway?” the young man replied, more or less ignoring her comment about him being a pervert, “And why are you out here so late? Don’t you know it’s dangerous around here?”

The blue-eyed young woman looked unimpressed as she approached the two black-clad students. She had to admit, the guy who addressed her was kind of cute. She noticed a glint of silver and smirked a little. Eh, maybe I’m just attracted to guys with light hair, she thought idly to herself, Though I must admit, rebels are pretty hot too… The sound of crunching grass came again, but this time, she felt some kind of cold rush past her. She let out a yelp of surprise and tipped over, taking the other brown-haired girl with her. The light of the moon made the young man’s hair akin to the shining, silver armor of a knight as he reached out his arm and prevented them from falling. His stern, lavender eyes passed over the blue eyed brunette and fell on the brunette with brown eyes with inexplicable rings of red. What is it with these people and weird eye colors? she thought to herself, quickly standing upright and crossing her arms over her chest. She did not need to be saved, especially by the likes of prefects who had no clue how to do their job! Before she knew it, a whir of silver passed her and suddenly, the moon was reflecting off a molded piece of metal, and it was not the piercings that adorned the oddly-dressed male prefect’s ears. She staggered backward, her eyes wide as she noticed that the metal was a cylinder with a blocky shape closer to the handle, which was covered with a brown material that she did not recognize from the distance she was standing at. The young man seemed to have the object pointed at something, a person, she assumed, since she was able to see a little bit of white, despite the nearly six foot tall young man blocking her from harm. I don’t need to be saved! she thought exasperatedly, crossing her arms over her chest. In a moment, the wind rushed past her and there was someone standing before her in a uniform that resembled the black one the other students were wearing, except the colors were reversed. She was about to ask the white-clad young man a question before he seized her wrist without warning. Fear and disgust travelled through her as the young man licked her hand, his eyes glowing a bright red color, almost the same shade as arterial blood. She let out a piercing scream as the blonde’s canine teeth seemed to grow in size. She clenched her eyes shut, waiting for the creature to kill her and eat her, but she heard a click instead. She could almost feel the gun, despite the fact that it was being pressed to the temple of the blonde young man bent over the blue-eyed brunette’s hand.

“Let go of the girl, Hanasuba, and I won’t shoot you,” the silver-hair young man threatened, placing his index finger on the trigger.

The blonde young man put his hands up in surrender, dropping the girl’s wrist. After a few moments, she opened her eyes to see the two young men glaring at each other and the other young woman standing between them, begging them in some weird language. She could tell the girl was begging because of the pleading look on her face. I guess these two butt heads often, Camila mused, leaning back on her left leg to observe the scene. She slowly backed up until she was behind a tree before she started picking at the thin strips of green that were dotted on her crimson shirt. She was tempted to clean out the inside too, but she did not want to risk exposing herself to any more embarrassment. After all, these weirdos had plenty of ways to make her look like some kind of crazy, loose, lunatic who could not even pick the right uniform to wear! She barely paid attention to the interaction of the three students, so she was not sure if they were comfortable in this world or not. She guess so, because the young man clad in white left, leaving her alone with Lavender and Shorty. Lavender beckoned to Camila silently, and the group started to walk away from the clearing. The blue-eyed young woman tried to protest, but the stern glare she received from the young man forced her to keep her mouth shut, even if she did not like it.

After a walk that seemed to go on for miles, the three arrived at a large, towering building that seemed to be hiding in the shadows. Camila tilted her head slightly; the building looked more like a school than a castle. Her brows furrowed; no, it could not be true, could it? There was no way that hitting her head a little too hard on the gym floor had caused this elaborate of a hallucination, right? She did not have time to mull over the possibilities because, in an instant, her face had nearly collided with the brick wall in front of her. She felt a heavy breathing against the back of her neck and her muscles locked, rigid as feathery yet warm air moved up and down her neck. She could hear her heart pounding in her ears as an unfamiliar weight rested on her shoulder. She could have sworn something awful was going to happen, so she clamped her eyes shut and prepared her voice to scream and her elbow to be thrust backward into the silver haired teen’s ribs. Thankfully, neither of those measures were needed, because she felt the weight disappear and the other girl speak an instant later.

“Zero, you’re only supposed to drink my blood, remember?!” the young woman chided, yanking the young man, Zero, away from Camila and toward herself.

Camila was able to turn around in time to see Zero’s eyes glowing the same arterial red that Hanasuba’s had been glowing earlier. A-are they vampires?! she thought in a panic, looking around to find an escape of some sort. She had to get out of this hellish nightmare.There were people who were trying to suck each other’s blood and eat each other! It was the weirdest thing she had ever tried to wrap her mind around in her life. What happened next not only stunned her speechless, but also caused her to pass out. She heard the girl’s squeak as the boy leaned down to her neck. She saw the slight pain on the young woman’s face when the young man sank his fangs into her neck. The last thing she saw before she passed out was crimson. She was unable to process or comprehend what had just occurred. The tang of blood was too strong, and the sight of it gave her so many flashbacks at once that her brain became overloaded. All that she had seen caused her to stumble and smack her head against the wall, effectively knocking her out once more..

“-Mila… Camila… Hello! Earth to bruja, do you read?” Stephen’s voice called from a distance, clearly trying to awaken his fallen classmate.

Camila sat up with a start, nearly smacking her forehead against Stephen’s. They stared at each other for a moment, stunned, before they looked away from each other, clearly blushing. His face was so close… I could nearly feel his breath on my cheeks. A shudder ran up her spine before she stared him directly in the eyes. She took a deep breath and opened her mouth to speak. His head was cocked slightly, as if he was listening and would be receptive to anything she had to say. She waited a beat or two before taking a deep breath and speaking.

“I think gym class gives me LSD-esque dreams,” she muttered, shaking her head before turning herself to the side and looking at Stephen, “People are into some really weird s***...”

With that, Camila stood up and left the infirmary, leaving a perplexed Stephen in her wake.

When a child is born, s/he is born with tattoos that will tell the story of his/her life. S/He spends years trying to decipher them, but - as it is with everyone - s/he is unable to. As life goes on, however, situations surface and s/he begins to understand his/her tattoos.
