Night two [Darrian, Perfects]

Amelia pretended to be asleep in bed till it became dark. Somehow word got out that she had drown. The only person she had told was Nash, again she called him McCoy. She sighed at the thought of him telling the perfects and other students... but then again Seth could have done it too. She was unsure but wouldn't be surprised if it was either one of them. Even though she hoped both wouldn't do it, she gave permission anyway. I feel so stupid... I have a bad feeling they will not only be watching that beach, but keeping an eye out for me as well. She hoped that if she did run into a perfect it would be one that didn't know her name and face. Slowly she crawled out of bed, she wore a blue light dress. Last night was a pink dress, this time it was a light blue dress.

For some reason or another she was just into light colors. Smiling to herself she slowly tipped toed to the door so that if her roommate Victoria was in the room, she wouldn't hear her. Lucky for her she didn't get any surprises on the way out. Victoria was after all known for pulling pranks on others and she wouldn't put it passed her to play another prank on her. She slowly shut the door behind her and started for the stairs, very slowly. It was quiet, to quiet. She made her way down the stairs to the third floor. Again nothing, nobody was about. I guess they are all outside? She thought to herself, slowly going down to the second floor, almost tripping on her way down. That was close... All she needed was one more flight of stairs and she'd be out again. She went to the stairs and walked faster and very quietly walked to the door and out.

Closing it behind her, she ran towards the beach. Now it was time to find out what had pulled her under the water. She made her way to the beach, nobody was there, or she couldn't see them anyway. She through her shoes off and went towards the water and stopped. Am I sure I want to do this? She thought to herself before thinking to herself. Yes. I must know what had grabbed me. I'm sure it was just another student. Those rumors are false... Slowly she started to walk in the water.

Why wasn’t Darrian sleeping today you ask? Cause appearently some girl fell into the water in the beach. Darrian was getting REALLY tired of everyone with this stupid rumor. This girl had better have been dead for all the commotion she was making around campus. Darrian got soo much complains and kids crying at his desk. “BLAH A MONSTER IS AT THE BEACH! IT WANTS TO EAT ME! BLAH!” Hopefully it would..and shut you up period. Darrian was sooo tired these days. Mostly because of Une.

She was miserable about the whole Battlefront. Then about the “no work” thing. Once again let us repeat this shall we. Une is the vice. He is the president. The president does nothing. The vice does everything and take nooo amount of praise. The president takes the praise. You get it? Darrian really wished Une would. Okay basicially Darrian had got complains. He wanted to see what this creature really was. It was annoying and disturbing his sleep too. Mostly it was Nash’s snoring but, Darrian wouldn’t let Nash know that.

Darrian walk out the room…Well he air walked… He went down the stairs to the beach. He wondered who this girl was. If she was a ugly one…Darrian thought if this monster was real he would be doing the world a favor. Darrian hoped it wasn’t one of the hot girls like those hot twins from California. He didn’t even know there power unless it was extremely hotness. If that was even possible. Darrian headed down to the beach to see a beautiful girl going into the water. Okay Darrian was sooooo amazed. Could it be a mermaid? Ariel is real? Okay he needed to stop watching all that little mermaid he was seeing things. He blinked another time. She was REAL. Darrian shook his head. She shouldn’t be going into that evil water!

Sure Darrian didn’t believe it had a monster but, suppose it did? She would get eaten or worse…live in Atlantis. Darrian just felt it was a bad place… He didn’t know why. He began running towards her. “STOP! That water is not safe! I wouldn’t like nothing to happen to a beautiful princess like you would I?” Darrian said to her entering the water. Wait…this wasn’t a mermaid. It was a NORMAL girl! Well…this girl was obviously not normal…she went to Ashford. BUT ON ASHFORD STANDARDS a normal girl. Even soooo her beauty was off the charts. Darrian rated her high on cuteness. Darrian smiled at her but,…Darrian looked down. Wet clothes..kinda see through…Nosebleed…. Darrian then tripped on a stone..cause this side on the beach was really rocky even underwater. He then fell ontop the girl. Okay…this was not the best moment in his life as the "Kaichou of women".

Amelia turned to see a male running towards her. A perfect of course. She knew this male from somewhere, now where was it. Oh yes... the male that woman was yelling at the other day at the courtyard... Why he is running at me, and why does he think the water is dangerous... I didn't spread a rumor, I told Nash I almost drown and Seth had saved me. Just because I told Nash that Seth believed it to be a monster and just because Seth thought it was a monster didn't mean it is. She thought to herself, it wasn't like she was in the water all the way, but by the time he had gotten to her, the water was to her waist. "Oh come on you have got to be kidding me!" She had yelled at him, why the perfects were worried about a monster that didn't exist she didn't understand.

She had her back turned to him and continued going into the water by the time she felt somebody fall on top of her. She went up real fast and spit out the water. "Thanks for that." She spoke to him before adding, "Dangerous huh? I thought it was just a rumor." She shook her head and smirked at him. "Did Seth put you up to this? Just because he believes in the rumor doesn't mean I do. As I told Nash... Seth had saved me last night, no big deal. There isn't a monster down there." She would hear no more of it, slowly she went under the water, she had come out to find out what that thing was, not get stopped by another perfect. She came back up, not seeing the thing that had grabbed her and a student. She looked back at the male, just as hot as Nash and Seth. Perfect, I'm having a hard time chosing...

"I remember you... that perfect got mad at you the other day. McCoy gave you something and I over heard you whisper to him about getting fried and a casket..." She paused before adding, "What was your name again?"

Darrian wasn’t in the bestest mood at the moment. He was wet. His hair was all uncool. And Darrian’s hair WAS NEVER uncool. It always folded in the right places. Darrian for some reason blamed Mcoy for this. Why? Mcoy was just easy to blame. He would sooo complain to him when he got back to the dorms. Darrian heard the girl yell at him. Darrian realized something about this girl. SHE WAS SO CUTE.

Her voice was like a out of “My little pony”. Darrian had to laugh a little. After the embarrassing water trip and the nosebleed..luckly the water washed away from his nose. He was now face to face with….some girl that looked familiar? Darrian eyes blinked. Who was she? Was is his ex girlfriend? Nah… Couldn’t be. She would have drowned him. Mostly because of her water manipulation powers. Okay who was this girl it was annoying Darrian. Ohhhh the girl that came and said hi to Nash. Aka Nash’s main squeeze. Darrian knew his flirting lessons with Nash would pay of. He is now flirting like a pro. Darrian spit out water and came back up. “I wasn’t put up to this by anyone. So my little ruby eyed princess you are the one who was nearly drowned yesterday? Seth? Nash? Alright.

As long as your okay is all that matters. I am Darrian Zenon of the Student Council. Who are you beautiful? I certainly thought you were a mermaid at first. You look very exotic~” Darrian said to her. Okay flirting was natural in Darrian mouth so even when he wasn’t he was. Darrian came out of the water and took off his shirt. Mostly because it was wet. He sooo was not showing his muscles. Okay he was. But, it wasn’t a main intent. “Okay Ms.why are you here so late at night? A pretty princess should never be out so dark.” Darrian said. Okay Darrian knew this girl was sneaking out. Why? He didn’t know. But, he was going to find out why.

Amelia looked back at Darrian, it was kind of funny that he had messy hair now that he had been in the water. He deserved it after all. She even laughed when she seen his face. He was so handsome. "Oh really? Seth promised me that he would have more portal out... so I really doubt that you are telling the truth. She could tell that he wasn't lie however. "Yeah." She answered back, not wishing to talk about it. "Thanks, if it wasn't for Seth I might not be here today." Him calling her princess made her feel good, so she didn't tell him to stop. "Nice to meet you Darrian. I'm Amelia." She answered back with a small smile. She giggled at the thought of him thinking she was a mermaid. Again she could tell that he wasn't lying. He was funny and handsome, and his hair looked nice even wet.

She turned her head to spit in the water, yes salt water got in her mouth yet again. She didn't follow him out of the water, just stared at him when he pulled off his shirt. Boy is he handsome.... She shook her head when she heard his question, again calling her a princess. "I am out here for a swim." She lied, she was out there to find out what had grabbed her the night before. Swimming was just a bonus. "Why? Have you come to talk me away from the nice cool water?" She moved back deeper in the water, forgetting that she was getting to the deep end. She had a smile on her face, if he took her out now, or when she comes out, her clothes would be stuck to her body, they might be both safe if she just stayed in the water. At least then she could hide herself below. Had she known another perfect was coming out, a male she might have thought twice about going in the water. To late...

Being paired up for patrols with anyone that wasn't Darrian was worthy of his anxiety, but this time around, he'd gotten really unlucky when he got Seth. McCoy didn't have a problem with the older male, he just felt a lot of pressure not to say the wrong thing. Seth seemed so incredibly confident, so composed, and he seemed to be more familiar with the procedure of being a prefect...

Besides that, McCoy really hadn't been at the school that long compared to Seth's five years. He'd actually claimed the school as home for less than a year, having arrived in January. McCoy glanced in Seth's direction as they walked toward the beach, unwilling to admit he was mildly curious about the other male. Was he possibly nervous about returning to the sandy shore? From observing him in the time McCoy'd been here, he would have guessed Seth didn't get nervous.

"So... You really think it could be a monster, Seth?

[/color]" McCoy prompted, figuring that if they were patrolling the beach together instead of splitting up and covering more ground, there must be a good reason. His tone wasn't accusatory, it was actually sincere. Whether he believed in monsters or not, his tone gave no indication of judgement. He drew his hands into the pockets of his uniform though it wasn't that cold, forcing himself to maintain eye contact even though he'd rather walk silently at Seth's side opposed to inviting conversation. On the other hand, he was hoping that once they reached the beach, all conversation would stop naturally. If he wasn't mistaken, the voices he heard were from the beach, which meant they were very close now.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Seth absolutely loathed partner patrols. He understood the necessity, hell, this one was his idea, having the forethought to realize that maybe, just this once, it'd be a lot smart to have a partner in case something did go horribly wrong. Unfortunately, despite the complaining, and demands, and even a bit of begging, he wasn't capable of getting Calista to join him on these patrols. Rather he was being accompanied by McCoy, a largely unknown boy who had shown up almost a year ago. Well, that was a bit harsh, McCoy wasn't an unknown, just too quiet for any information to reach Seth's ears while he was buried under books.

He glanced over at McCoy as the boy spoke, before looking out to the ocean. "We go to a school where I've seen a few students bring inanimate objects to life. Somehow a monster coming into existence isn't too farfetched, but I bet it's more likely that we'll be dealing with a student who's lost his grip on sanity." Seth stated, his tone sounding harsher than he was actually feeling.

Of course, Seth was unaware of this, thinking through various chemicals contained in the sea, as his hands clenched at a few stones and vials in his pockets. Catalysts and ingredients if fighting occurred, though, thanks to some research earlier in the day, Seth was confident that he could create much more havoc if the monster stayed in the water. Sodium and Magnesium made such a explosive reaction together, and luckily, the sea water would provide all the materials needed.

As they reached the shores, two figures stood out predominantly under the moon's shine. One looked quite familiar, shirtless and all, while the other was recently ingrained into his memory. "The school does have rules against sexual harassment, Darrian. Please put back on your shirt." Seth stated, frowning at the girl in the water while raising an eyebrow. She's here again. In the water again....don't people ever exercise caution?

Darrian now understood why this was here. The beach? She was breaking curfew and…other rules which he can’t remember what… Darrian smiled well seductively mostly because he had something on her now. “Well, Seth of the prefects? Hmmm… If I recall Lady Une told me something about him doing something somewhere…Ohhh, he was patrolling the beach. Seth has no control over me my beautiful. I have power over him. Which I tend to let my vice president use…Cause she’s the scary one.

Anyways Seth did a good thing I shall reward him with something. (With what? I don’t know) Amelia? Wow, you are most certainly a princess~” Darrian replied back to her. This wasn’t the time for Darrian to be having a conversation. This girl wasn’t suppose to be out here! He should be doing the responsible thing. Like telling Lady Une or…somebody. Though, Darrian wasn’t much of a “meanie” so he didn’t want to get the girl in trouble. Darrian overheard her mouth again then he blinked. She was out there for a swim? A SWIM?

You could swim in the daytime. Like in reasonable hours. NOT AT PITCH BLACK NIGHT. Darrian wasn’t falling for this. She had to have another reason. “Swimming? It’s dangerous for you to be out here so late. They are a lot of weird students out of night. They could hurt you or worst. Please beautiful princess I wouldn’t want anything horrible to happen to you. So I’ll give you a break this time.” Darrian said to her with a wink. Darrian thought about this hard. It would be better just to leave this between the two of them. Then he heard some other people coming.

SETH AND NASH? NASH?! MCOY?! Seth then issued a statement out of his mouth that wasn’t the best thing to say. SEXUAL HARRESMENT?! DARRIAN SEXUALLY HARASSING A WOMAN?! DARRIAN WOULD NEVER EVER DO THAT. Flirt with them nonstop. YES! Sexual harassing? NO! Darrian then turned to Seth and flipped his wet hair with his hand. “Sexual harassment? Mr. Rosa? My clothes simply got wet and didn’t watch to catch a cold wearing wet clothes. If you have a spare shirt or jacket I would be glad to put on something. I am here with your friend Amelia. Now please explain what is this “monster” you both saw that is disturbing my campus? By the way how’s your sister? As a the president I must know how all my students are doing~” Darrian said to him. He then turned to his friend Mcoy. “Mcoy! I didn’t know you had patrol today? How’s it been so far? Seth make sure he’s okay. Especially around these late hours battlefront and crazy students are usually around.” He said to both Mcoy and Se

Amelia shook her head at Darrian, she wasn't getting out right now, she just got here. His vice president huh? She bet it was the lady yelling at him the other day at the court yard. There were somethings that she tried not to remember. "Isn't Lady Une the scary lady from the other day that was going to kill you or something?" She laughed, she wasn't scared of him. Now if the lady was the same, then she had found somebody to be scared of. "Uh hu." She agreed to him not saying much after that. She just grinned back over at him. "You can't prove that, Seth can't prove it..." Even though she could prove it, she thought it best not to say anything else such as refusing to prove that it hadn't happened. Even though she had almost drown it was her word against Seth's. "Thanks." She winked at him when he told her that she'd get a break.

She wasn't getting out of the water though, it was out of the question. Her eyes turned to two figures that were heading straight for her. One was Nash, the other was Seth. WAIT SETH? I STILL HAVEN'T COME UP WITH A NAME OR GENDER... OH GREAT! I won't bring it up as long as he doesn't. If I'm lucky he forgot. She laughed when Seth yelled at Darrian about sexual harassment. Talk about good timing. She laughed as the two of them spoke with one another. "Hi McCoy." She smiled at him biting her lower lip. I wonder what he is doing out here for. "Greeting Seth." She wasn't about to ask which male had told Darrian and warned the rest of the school. She really just didn't want to know. She just smiled at Seth, when she seen him frown at her. He should have known I was going to be out here again.

She giggled as she listened to Darrian, he was funny. Well they figure out how he is hiding his chest. I'm going back down to see if somebody or something is down there. If not... I really will just swim. Thinking that nobody was paying attention to her, she dove under the water, swimming closer and closer to the deep end.

Okay. Conversation was out of the question. He fell quiet after the less-than-enthusiastic response to his question. There was plenty to distract him as Darrian and Amelia came into view. Seeing Darrian there, without a shirt, actually made McCoy grin. Not because he was with Amelia, and not because Seth got upset, but because it just seemed so... like Darrian. McCoy shyly raised a hand, gaving a slight wave before his attention went back to Darrian and Seth for their dispute. When Darrian addressed him, he gave a simple nod of affirmation before speaking.

"Yeah, just fine,

[/color]" McCoy shrugged, "Patrolling in pairs, just in case there is a monster.[/color]" It surprised him slightly to hear Darrian tell Seth to essentially protect him. Did he really need protecting? ... After considering Seth's demeanor, he realized it couldn't hurt to have the president ordering someone like Seth to protect him. That way he couldn't be injured by Seth, theoretically. Even if nothing came of the statement, it made him feel a little better about being at Ashford, knowing Darrian had his back. McCoy's mind wandered, and so did his gaze.

Where did Amelia go? She'd disappeared, and neither of the other boys seemed to have noticed. McCoy didn't wait around for them to, either. If Amelia was telling the truth about the monster, he didn't want her to be out of his sight. And besides, he was on patrol- he couldn't let this reflect badly on Seth or Darrian. So, without giving it a second thought, McCoy bolted into the water in a sudden run, disappearing under the surface in a matter of seconds.

Amelia had a head start, definitely. But when he opened his eyes, he was certain he could see her there, swimming farther out. It didn't look like she had any monsters grabbing her... McCoy swam forward anyway, keeping his attention on her as he caught up. Once he did, he tugged at her shirt sleeve and gestured up toward the surface of the water, wishing he wouldn't have run before he jumped in. Whether she surfaced or not, he figured he needed air before he went any farther.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Darrian was one of those people that seemed to always bring out the worse in Seth. Before, he was just annoyed at the flamboyant actions of the other young man, having come to expect such actions after seeing them time and again. It made it hard to respect those in command, in fact, if it wasn't for Lady Une, it was highly unlikely that Seth would've even bothered staying with the Prefects, all in an attempt to avoid Darrian. Yes, Darrian was that grating to Seth's conscious.

Still, he was the Student Council President, as well as a fellow member of the Prefects, and Lady Une would be quite irate if the boy ended up sick, so Seth let out a small sigh, while still managing to glare quite heavily at the other.

He started unbuttoning his shirt and jacket, before casting a quick glance out to sea to see what Amilia's reaction would be, only to see her slowly sinking backwards, and barley managed to bite back his groan. Casting a quick glance over to McCoy, he saw the other had already realized what was occurring and smiled. Maybe McCoy would be quite useful, so long as he wasn't corrupted.....

Seth gave a quick twitch, his frown turning into a full glare again as Darrian mentioned Calista. It was hard for the young man not to fell a stirring of rage in his body every time Darrian mentioned his sister. Darrian's reputation was well known through the prefects, as maybe a eighth of all attacks to the prefects were simply reports of ex-girlfriends trying to get even. Having Calista anywhere this guy wasn't something Seth could stand. Still, he gritted his teeth, "Last I saw Calista was doing just fine, she was going on about how she had so little time for everything now, with her new boyfriend."

"As for the monster, I believe that you should question Amelia on the specifics when McCoy brings her back." Seth stated, managing to bring his fluctuating emotions back around, and become somewhat more calm. "Now put on this shirt." And with that statement, Seth pulled off his jacket and shirt, and threw the shirt to Darrian's head. A bit petty, but it was still Darrian after all. Placing his jacket back on, but not bothering to button it closed, Seth just watched the sea, in case something might happen to Amelia and McCoy.

Darrian thinked Amelia was cute and nice. Darrian was so not thinking of “taking” her for himself. She was clearly Mcoy’s date kinda. And friends don’t do that to each other. Darrian was more thinking of setting them together and “LOVE MATCHING”. Darrian was the proclaimed “the lover doctor and maker” in Ashford. His reputation was large for a lot of things but, this one was known also. Besides being a flirt he made a lot of long lasting couples in Ashford. Some older students even got married when they came out of Ashford. Sadly Darrian couldn’t off the island to see it but, he knew. Darrian would make sure Mcoy picked up on this girl. She was kind and cute. Darrian should double think this but, Mcoy was wayyyyy worth a girl. This was “BROSHIP”.

Broship is and friendship shouldn’t be broken because a girl especially since it was mostly her looks Darrian was concerned with. “Lady Une. Yes, she is a very scary woman. Lady Une would never kill me…would she NEARLY kill me? ..Yes. Lady Une is nice though….when you break down the tons and tons of barriers. And yes it is. Though, just in case this rumor is true. It is not wise to travel anywhere without supervision of a prefect or higher faculty members. So don’t go.” Darrian said to her. Okay this girl had a smart mouth. He liked her. She reminded him of someone he liked. Maybe it was his ex. Well, his ex was a….smart mouth and rude mouth all in one. Darrian wanted to tape her mouth shut he would be saving humanity if he did. Just by her breath alone could kill billions. Darrian…should stop dating all of these weird women…. Anyways he heard Mcoy answer which made him happy. “That’s good. If Seth’s gives you any trouble. Report to Une.” Darrian said to Nash before he went into the water. Une was the worst person to report too. Even if she liked you or not. You got a punishment. SEVERE. One time someone just hit a girl and Lady Une set him on fire…for days and week on end. THE LEGENDS SAY. Though, some people say that was “Darrian” which he rejects that statement.

Wait……………………………..WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?! HEART-BREAK. SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND! THE ONLY GIRL. DARRIAN CONSIDERED ACTUALLY HAVING A REAL REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH…HAS A BOYFRIEND. Darrian had to hold back tears. Not womanly tears. Manly tears. Darrian was a REAL man so he can only cry manly tears but, even then he held them back. Seth was soooo mean. Darrian hoped he was just be the “BROTHER BEAR”. Which Darrian knew Seth was and respected him for it. Darrian though didn’t care. HE WANTED HIS SISTER AND NOTHING WAS GOING TO STOP HIM. Unless Une. Une can stop Darrian with just a turn of her head. Darrian smirked.

He wanted to make sure he was respectful cause Seth was. Seth was a cool guy but, Darrian “liked” Calista. “Seth. Your sister. Calista Lelia Rosa. Has a boyfriend? What’s his name? Er as the president I want to be UP close and personal with my students. You can understand that? Besides you know I wouldn’t disrespect you. She’s your sister and you want to protect I understand. I wouldn’t disrespect someone that holds his sister in such high regard. I respect you Seth Lorenz Rosa.” Darrian said to him with a semi.semi serious look. Darrian couldn’t be serious unless it was a battle or death/life situation. Darrian respected Seth. Which means Darrian needed to find a way to er...respectfully ask out Calista. Of course Seth was doing the right thing but, Calista was ..like 16.

If Darrian was going to do anything he would run by Seth. Darrian had a bad rep with girls…but, unknown to many…Darrian just attracted the weirdest girls. They are a lot of nice ones but, Darrian just chose the crazy ones… Darrian wasn’t a player and he hated all players. It was because of his demeanor to publicly is what made him look like that. Calista was the crush Darrian had and it was a really important one to him. Though Darrian wasn’t a “feeling” guy to rant about it to anyone . Darrian heard him again. He catched the shirt and put it on. “Thank you Mr. Rosa. And I shall. Mcoy is quite dependable you should know that.” Darrian said to him looking at the water. If anything came out…Darrian was ready to kill it…He was one of the best Air Masters in Ashford history for a reason.

Amelia of course was under the water with a head start. She was surprised that McCoy had gone after her. He was fully dressed like herself. She hadn't stopped, continued swimming farther and farther into the deep ocean. She felt a tugged on her blue dress. She looked up, deciding that having air before going back down was a good idea. She followed him up, joining him seconds later. "Greetings McCoy. Have you come out for a good swim. Instead of diving back in right away she waited for his answer.

Air. Sweet air. Still there. McCoy took a deep breath in the moment he surfaced. Water cascaded down his face, his hair lay in a flat heap atop his head, his uniform clung to his body, and he found very definitively that ocean water was not like lake water. Ocean water was not like bath or shower water. Ocean water was salty and gross and there were fish and ... and... plants he couldn't see that were... well okay, even he had to admit the plants probably weren't doing him that much harm, but the tiny bug like creatures that lived on them probably were. McCoy took in a second deep breath, this one more to calm his nerves as Amelia spoke. Surprise appeared on his face at her rather odd response.

"Uh... Greetings, Amy?

[/color]" McCoy replied, grinning. "No, I'm visiting Earth to see a beautiful girl. What brings you to the planet?[/color]" McCoy teased, unable to resist. Greetings seemed like something an alien would say, not something someone being rescued needed to think up.

"Actually though, why don't we swim closer to the shore? There's... less salt that way.[/color]" McCoy tried to rationalize. Even without her saying so, he really doubted she'd go back with him. Whether she was swimming away to get distance from the assembly of boys, or whether she was offended by something- even if she just felt ignored, she had to have some reason for swimming away. He was going to try to respect that and convince her to go back of her own free will. As for the salt comment, he had absolutely no clue whether or not any part of the ocean could have less salt content than any other part, much less if the shoreline could have less. He was hoping it did, though none would be ideal at this point.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Seth let out a small sigh as he walked over to where Darrian was standing and stood next to him. Rummaging through his jacket pocket, and pulling off a few quick transmutations, Seth pulled out a rock the size of a softball, and held it up to Darrian. "This is a bromine flare, there's a potassium core inside, think you can keep it in the air and cut it in half?" He asked before tossing it up and over the ocean. If Darrian did nothing to activate the bright green light, then Seth would increase the density in order to create more of an impact against the water, which would more than likely shatter and activate the flare.

The young man shook his head as Darrian probed quite bluntly for information. He was thinking about leading the man on, but realized that it just wasn't in him to lie too much. It's too bad that Seth didn't consider misleading comments to be lies. "While I'm sure you're quite concerned about the vast student body, I feel that these are personal matters, of which I hardly have the right to share." Cold, impersonal, a bit flowery, Which probably meant Seth was still annoyed. Oh well, not like you could ask the world to stop spinning just because of a moment of near sincerity.

Seth glanced over to Darrian when the other spoke of McCoy. He had noticed a bit that the lad seemed to be bright, but to be receiving praise from others all ready, Seth smirked. "I noticed that, thank you."

"Should we attempt to drag the two out of the water?" Seth asked, noticing they came back up for air, and were currently floating in the dangerous ocean, that may or may not contain a homicidal monster.
