The night sky was beautiful, filled with sparkling lights and colors that shot through the darkness, the chilling air was fantastic to Adrian, the salt ocean air flowing from all around them. He was used to cooler climes and so didn't complain now, having found a way to get atop of a roof of one of the buildings. There he sat upon a relatively safe spot, laying atop his coat, his shirt having been rolled up to create a pillow for his head. Others, if they found him, may have thought it odd or perhaps that he would get sick due to the breeze, but Adrian took it all in. His bare chest facing the sky and his crystalline eyes almost closed in a dazed state. A smile spread across his lips as he watched the twinkling above, his violet and blue hair just rustling with the air.
Taking slow and deep breaths, it was relaxing here, alone, still wearing his sneakers and black jeans. Most of his clothes in neutral colors, his voice finding itself as he began to hum ever so lightly, just to himself a lullaby that he half remembered from his parents. The tiles shuddered every so often, stirring regularly, the sound of the ocean echoing off the buildings at night, lights in the distance from rooms of students whom were not finished studying. Then the thoughts returned, of if he should be there or not, on this god forsaken island, which was home now to so many nice people. Adrian believed he deserved to be in a prison, locked away and alone forever, though was it really his fault at all, or was he a victim of circumstances.
Adrian moved suddenly, half hearing a noise nearby, perhaps someone was climbing or had found the way up. His own way up was from one of the inner windows, then climbing up a drainpipe. Yet, there were probably many other methods of reaching the roof, the sound died down and Adrian lay back down, wondering if it was just some animal that had somehow gotten onto the island. Because it was highly unlikely that students would come up to the roof at night, then again, Adrian really didn't think about his own reasons for being up here and that others may share his love of either solitude or the stars.
