Third Eye- Nigel literally has a Third Eye in the middle of his forehead. This appendage gives him the power to view things that can't normally be seen with the human eye, and effectively read them to determine various things. This includes aura, seeing spiritual/astral energies, and psionic energy. He can determine someone's mental state, if they are close to dying how long they might have to live, and can even see psychic connections between other people or objects. Nigel can close his regular eyes and focus on his third eye chakra which effectively blinds him to things that go on within the physical realm. When he only has his Third Eye open, he can only see the world around him as varying forms of energy. He is able to distinguish people solely by their energy, or their connections to other things on a psionic level. This also allows him to see the quality much more clearly, and gives him a small form of Clairvoyance. He is able to learn things about the person by reading their energy, and bringing about connections that they hold with other things from their past. This doesn't lead into specific details such as their powers, but can potentially determine their personality types, relationships with their families, physical dimensions, and if they are being affected by or utilizing some sort of psychic based power without determining the affect.
Limitations to this include having to reveal his Third Eye in order to utilize certain effects, as in not having a direct covering over it. When utilizing stronger points of his power, along with the need to meditate he must remove the cover he has over this eye in order to channel the energy. If someone were to cover this eye or harm it, he would be unable to use those powers. This power can also be affected, and disrupted by things that would disrupt his focus, or stop an individual from using psychic capability. The Clairvoyance would as well be affected by psychic-blocking, and aversion.
Astral Projection- In order to use this power Nigel must enter a state of seated meditation. From there he is able to separate his spiritual form, from his physical body. Entering what he refers to as the Astral plane, and moving through the physical realm in an out-of-body state. He is able to travel just about anywhere he wants to, for however long though he is unable to affect anything within the physical world while he is in this state. He has the ability of "flight" while in this form as well. This projection is invisible to people who don't have the potential to see beyond the physical plane of existence. He can bee seen by people who are capable of seeing not only aura, but who attempt to view him with psychic vision, and varying forms of mediumship.
This can run a serious risk, as his body will be left completely defenseless while he is in his spiritual form. As stated before he is unable to affect things within the physical world, making it impossible for him to cause any form of change. There is also a "default" way to return him to his physical body, which will automatically draw him back against his will. This occurs if an individual covers his Third-eye while in this state. He also has to move places in the normal fashion. He can't simply will himself somewhere else...He would have to walk, or fly there in his spiritual form.
