Erebus sighed a bit as he slid silently into the room, glancing around at the gathered group. He tapped his chin a bit thoughtfully. What was he going to do for this entire event? It wasn't really like there was anything for him to really do as it was. He closed his eyes thoughtfully, reopening them before making his way over to a wall, leaning against it casually. He scanned the crowd, looking for any possible bouts of trouble. Nothing was happening so far, the overall assembly being calm. At least it was calm, that was something that he didn't mind. Sure, it was loud and crowded but no conflicts were nice. It meant that maybe he wouldn't have to do his job today and instead be able to relax a little, at least a little.

He pushed off the wall, silently weaving his way through the crowd before spying a very familiar head of hair out of the corner of his eyes. He blinked a few times, glancing in the direction, trying to figure out where he saw it. He knew he had seen someone he knew, someone he swear was dead. Whatever it was that he had seen he didn't know, but he knew he had seen something familiar. The young sword-master spun, looking in all directions, sighing as he realized he didn't see a thing. On one hand he was glad, it meant that the impossible wasn't possible. He turned back into the direction he was originally headed, stopping just in time to avoid running into someone, blinking a few times in surprise at his lack of attention. He made a curt nod of apology before looking at the person, blinking a few times, blurting out the first words that came to mine without thinking.

"T-tyri? What are you doing here?!?!"

He looked her up and down a few times after the question, looking over every aspect of the girl. That had to be here, it just had to be. There was no question about it. She was definitely Tyri.

So many people...Tyri pursed her lips, eyes scanning the crowded auditorium glumly, a bored look on her face. She hadn't even been on the island a full week and here she was being forced to be social. She wasn't adverse to meeting people per say, she just didn't like being around so many strangers with no exit strategy. They had locked the doors behind her. The thought alone made her anxious. If a fight broke out there wouldn't be enough room to comfortably fight depending on how many people got sucked into it. And unless she could get up into the rafters somehow she wouldn't have a place to wait it out in relative safety. And now on top of everything else her scar was starting to itch. She huffed, wishing she could go back to her room to wait out the first bell.

She was just making her way across the crowded floor -she had spied a quiet corner where she could relax and have her back against the wall- when someone ran straight into her. Unlike before, where she would have held her ground and possibly snapped at them, she stumbled back a few steps and muttered a quick and quiet "sorry," aiming for that corner again.  But then the person talked to her. And called her by her name. That made her stop and turn back to them. She hadn't told anyone her name. She had barely even spoken to any students let alone introduced herself.

She stood there blinking at the boy for a good minute or so, her mind going a mile a minute as she tried to figure out how in the world he knew her name. She didn't know him, never met him before in her life. Though...something about him seemed vaguely familiar. Almost like when you saw someone on the street and then saw them again later that day. He looked just familiar enough to warrant that nagging feeling that tugged on the edges of her brain.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" She grouched, crossing her arms and glaring at him. Her voice was sharp and accusatory, almost as if he was at fault for knowing her name. This is exactly why I didn't want to come...Too many odd people here. She tilted her chin up a little, waiting impatiently for an answer that met her qualifications. It was too early for this. She kept her stance light and a little on the guarded side; prepared to spring into action if she needed to. The effect lessened slightly by the fact that she was continually shifting her left shoulder around a little bit at a time. Her scar still itched.

Who was he and how did he know her name? What was she talking about? She was Tyri Lockehart, the girl he had spent the majority of his life fighting alongside. How did she not remember him? He stood there for a few seconds, baffled by the response. Someone he had known for years and years didn't remember him. The question was now, how was he supposed to respond? Should he speak to her as if he had known her for years or say that he had mistaken her for someone else? Something about the later of the choices didn't sit well with him though, especially when it came to Tyri. He had to tell her what he knew, how he knew her name. He couldn't just sit back and see if she would remember him, he needed to make a stride, try to get her to remember, at least he assumed she didn't remember.

For all he knew she was actually faking it in an attempt to push him away, but why she'd do that he didn't know.

"I am Erebus Ryder, and I know you because I spent the majority of my early life training and battling by your side, Ty. If you want to pretend to not know who I am then fine, but I know who you are and will never deny it." He looked at her confidently, knowing he had said what he needed to say. No matter what, even if this was real memory loss, he was going to help her remember him, even if it was the last thing he did. The young sword-master would not accept being forgotten by a close friend, that just was not allowed in his book. He crossed his arms across his chest, partially covering the prefect badge with the movement as he looked at her. If she thought he was being a flirt or something so be it, but would some random guy make such bold claims?

Then again this was an island full of super-powered teens. It wasn't too far-fetched.

Erebus Ryder? He was saying the name like she should know it. That, or it should spark something in her mind and cause her to suddenly know him. Well, she didn't. If she was anyone else she might have believed him; might have blamed her mind for not fully remembering. But she wasn't anyone else, and even though she had woken from her medically induced coma with full retrograde amnesia, all her memories had came back within a week. If he was telling the truth why wouldn't she remember him? She wasn't paying full attention to him as he continued to speak, more concerned with what was going on inside her head than with him and what he was saying. However that only lasted a few moments before he called her that dreaded word.

Ty. Ty. As soon as she could give her name people had seemingly insisted on calling her that. They probably meant it to comfort her, the poor little girl who had just gotten stabbed in the heart and had no memories. On another person, it might have worked. On Tyri, it just made her mad. She was already in a bad mood by just being here and he just made it worse. Her eyes narrowed and her lips flattened; his only warning before her open palm connected with his cheek with a satisfying slap! It wasn't as hard as she would have liked, she wanted to make his head snap to the side, but it did leave a faint mark, his cheek turning pink. "Don't call me that again." She all but growled, turning on her heel and marching off into the crowd, hoping that if the moron decided to follow her that he would be lost in the crush.

She swerved in an out around other students, just missed another collision at times by a hair. She was heading for her corner again, starting to get claustrophobic the longer she stayed out in the sea of super powered teenagers. When she finally reached the corner and was able to lean her back against it, she relaxed a little. She still felt a tad claustrophobic and since she couldn't go outside for any air, she did the next best thing. She started fanning herself, generating a small bit of wind on every pass and directed it towards her face and neck. Better. As she did that her amber eyes scanned and rescanned the crowd, looking for him. At times like this she wished that her danger intuition worked the way she wanted it to, reacting to what she perceived as a threat instead of only registering physical threats to her person. It was still useful, just not as useful as it could be.

Her scar had graduated from itching to aching, the change brought on by a few factors, Erebus Ryder being the chief cause. He brought up her past and whenever that happened the old wound started hurting. Sometimes even its twin, the scar on her back from where the sword came out of her, started hurting as well. When this happened she normally applied a balm or ointment of some sort to soothe it but she was running low and hadn't been able to go to the mainland to get some more. It's not that bad...I'll just tough it out. She had a high pain tolerance and couldn't rationalize using her last bit of ointment for just a mild irritation.

Ryder's head slid to the side slightly from the slap, blinking a few times in surprise. His hand wandered up to his cheek, touching the place she slapped, noting that it was a lot weaker than he had expected. She was obviously recovering her strength still, though how the strength of her heart was what bothered him the most. Was she really okay? Had the stab done permanent damage other than obvious memory loss? He watched her walk off, rubbing his cheek a bit before turning, going to walk off in the opposite direction, stopping suddenly. What was he doing? He wasn't ready to give up on her yet. He needed to remind her, to refresh her memory. If anything he could try to start over with her, but he refused to lose someone he had grown so close to just like that, not without fighting.

He turned back around, spotting Tyri where she had wandered over to a corner, making his way over to her stealthily, making sure to keep out of her line of sight. He knew exactly what he was going to do, whether he got slapped again or not would have to be seen, though he didn't plan on letting her hit him again. The first hit was something he hadn't even been expecting, but now he knew what to be expected. His eyes watched her, shifting to crowds whenever she glanced in his direction. He knew one thing, if she spotted him she was probably going to move away, at least that's how he remembered her to be. He eventually was able to make his way over to standing right next to her, grabbing the back of her shirt ant turning, dragging her away.

He kicked open a door in the back, pulling her out to the back side of the auditorium before closing the door, letting go of her shirt, and leaning against it, looking at her coolly. He took a moment to look at her in the sunlight, his eyes darkening as the specially made contacts transitioned to the brighter light before he spoke, his words flowing smoothly as if he had been practicing what he was about to say for months.

"Okay, first off, how did you survive that wound? I saw you die with my own eyes, sure I quickly dispatched your killer but still. Secondly, I've called you Ty since we were ten and you never had any issue with it before. Finally, what all do you remember and What is there that there are holes in as far as your memory goes?" He looked at her confidently, prepared to duck out of the way if she went to slap him again. Hopefully she didn't, and even if she did he was ready this time and he knew his reaction time was more then good enough to avoid her somewhat sluggish movements. He wanted to work on that a little, it pained him to see her so weak compared to how she used to be before.

"Let me ask you this as well, how the hell did you survive that stab through the heart? I swear you had no pulse when I set you down."

She hated being kept in the dark. Always had, always would. She was somewhat nosy in this way, prying into things that she may not have been welcome to or even putting herself in danger by doing said prying. Either because of whose things she was prying into, but even more so were the things she could find out. And now it appeared that her own mind, her closest ally, cold be betraying her. Well. If she believed him anyways. Amnesia just didn't work that way. She made sure to read all her medical records as soon as she could her hands on them so she knew exactly what she was in the hospital for, hoping it might stir some memories, at least of what happened to land her in the hospital in the first place. Plain as day listed on the forms was "full retrograde amnesia." Not a little bit, full. Memories just don't get left out. He has to be lying.

She was still mulling over how it would be possible to forget -just to humor him and put her curious mind to rest- when he took hold of the back of that terrible uniform blouse they made her wear and started yanking on her, dragging her away from her safe little corner. "Hey! Let me go!" She tried to struggle out of his grip but she couldn't really reach him between trying to stay in the auditorium and just stay upright while being dragged in such an awkward position.

As soon as he let her go she rounded on him, having hald a mind to punch him this time instead of just slapping him, even with her weakened state. She decided against it though, opting for just glaring at him for now, visibly fuming. When he mentioned her wound she didn't show any reaction, thinking he must have seen the scar somehow. "None of your business." She snapped easily, not wanting to tell him anything about her or her powers. "I don't care what you think you've done or what you think happened. Do not call me that again." If only she had different powers. Danger sense and hibernation were useful but wind manipulation was not all it was cracked up to be at times. She couldn't even generate gale force winds yet.

Erebus frowned a little when she stated it was none of his business. It was all of his business. The fact that she was claiming that she didn't know him was throwing up red flags as well, especially when he was obviously hitting the right buttons the entire time. Her reactions were tell tail signs that he wasn't wrong, but at the same time he couldn't tell if she actually couldn't remember or if she was just trying not to show that she did remember him as some kind of cruel joke. He frowned at her, standing there for a moment, arms crossed as he looked at her. Everything about her was screaming Tyri, yet she didn't seem to remember him. What was it going to take?

Wait, didn't traumatic injuries result in memory loss at times? That would explain why she claimed she didn't know who he was but could still function like your average, every day person. He tapped his chin for a moment, thinking on the subject before pulling himself back to reality. If she was suffering from or had suffered from amnesia then that would explain why she didn't remember him. It wasn't too far fetched of a thought. He looked at her for a moment, thinking on it before speaking again, completely ignoring the fact that she had just told him not to call her by the nickname that he had gotten so used to calling her by.

"Ty....did you or do you have amnesia? It's the only way I can explain you blatantly not remembering me," he frowned and crossed his arms, looking at her with a somewhat irritated look. "Unless this is all some kind of cruel joke, in which case it's far from funny." He did know one thing though, if she went to hit him again he wasn't going to let her. This was getting ridiculous and he really was getting a tad irritated by the situation. The girl who he grew up fighting alongside no longer remembering him was a pain.
