Trying not to laugh as her reaction and hand waving, a slim eyebrow raised. “Good?” he questioned, a hand pressed against his heart as he shook his shaggy hair. “You make it sound like I’m not dashingly attractive and a joy to be around.” Ashton said joking, feigning being hurt. It only lasted a moment or two, probably less than Camila’s own faking. While Ash was normally quite good at this kind of thing, he often found that laughing with a friend was just too contagious. He couldn’t keep up with it when there was such a strong urge to laugh on his part.
However, moving onto the topic of all the wonderful things that he could manage to do he found himself grinning widely. “I sound too good to be true when you put it that way. Wanna be my wing man?” He questioned, joking nudging her with his elbow. “But, uhm, no I can’t cook. The last time I tried to actually use a stove I nearly ended up setting the kitchen on fire… Unless I’m making mac ‘n cheese or sundaes, it’ll probably end horrible wrong.” He scratched the back of his head, cringing slightly at the member of freaking out when he realized the oven was on fire. Yeah. Not doing that again anytime soon.
At the mention of books his eyes sparked a bit. A small smile set on his face as he listened to her carefully. “I completely understand that. I mean, when I’m not out whipping the newbies into shape I’m usually reading or sleeping. I tend to lean towards the classics, what about you?” His tone took on more of an excited one, his thoughts completely turned away from his attempts of friendly teasing. Books were always around Ash as a kid and he wasn’t about to change that now. Even if he’s reading the books himself now, instead of his mother or sister. He made a slight note, thinking about maybe getting her a book for a gift if he ever needed to. Birthdays and holidays and such.
Moving on from book talk, he continued to speak and make a silly face. That silly face seemed to have pushed Cami over the edge as she could hardly control her laughter. Biting his tongue Ash tried not to join but didn’t succeed as he was soon breathless, his stomach slightly aching from laughing so hard. He ran a hand through his hair as he watched her sit down and began speaking about the weather of all things. “Rude. I think the cold and snow are the best out of any weather system.” He smirked, blowing out a puff of chilled air.
Shifting a bit, he leaned back on his hands and looked up to the sky, “But I get what you mean. Honestly, the heat kills me and the constant scenery is beyond boring.” He shook his head lightly, a small smile producing on his lips. “It’d be cool if the island moved north for a little. Hah, a moving island would be amazing. Get the winter of the north seas and the summers of the topics.” He looked back to Cami, his grin widening. “You could get your colors and I could get my winters. What could go wrong with a moving island?” He laughed a bit before looking back towards the sky.
