Being bored was such a funny thing. It causes someone to lay around, whining about something that they could completely change with just a thought. It was one of the many things that Sage refused to do, she refused to give into the dreaded deed that was known as boredom. Whenever she felt the sharp claws of boredom beginning to press down on her she mentally replied with a ‘NOPE!’ and got up to do something. Even if that something was just wandering aimlessly for a little while until an idea struck her fancy. And that, is exactly what had happened a mere hour or so ago.
In that time period a thought had struck Sage that she just couldn’t pass up. She had been all over the school, nearly any place you could think of. Yes, even the creepy dark basement that most positively has ghosts lurking in it. That was a day that her courage had gotten a large boost from an unknown force. Anyway, back to the point, there was one place that she hadn’t really wandered around in. That place was the mysterious -er mysterious to her a least- forest that covered a decent portion of the island. For all the time she had been here, approximately 3.257 weeks, it was about high time she go explore it.
So, off she went! Darting out of her room and into the next area of the island to explore. She had quite the time; climbing trees here and there, chasing squirrels, and sneaking up on frogs. It was all in good fun since the girl quite literally had nothing better to do with her time. In fact, it was all fun and games until her unfortunate luck began to set in. As she was balancing along an edge of a hill within the woods she lost her footing on uneven ground. As one would think she went tumbling down. Rolling down the hill until she came to a rest at the bottom of the incline.
Laying at the bottom of the hill Sage folded her hands behind her head and decided to kick back and relax. Popping one knee up she let the other leg dangle off of it, her foot bobbing to her own personal beat. Her bright green eyes gazed up past the tree tops to the clear skies above. Who would care about the scrapes covering one’s elbows or the twigs sticking to one’s clothes and hair when there were bunnies dancing in the air? Certainly not Sage Grayson. Humming softly, her imagination began soaring when she heard the familiar sound of footsteps approaching. “Do you think that cloud looks more like a badger wielding a lightsaber or the head of an deformed unicorn?” She questioned, pointing up to the sky.
