The sun was somewhere high in the sky still, apparent by the purple and reds mixing in the sky outside the windows. In the utter quiet of the library in the early dawn hours one, if one paid enough attention they could hear the birds just starting to wake up and sing their songs. Annoying noises that would wake up anybody in time as more birds would join the chorus and eventually putting your pillow over your head would just not suffice.
Far from his own bed the young man showed signs of insomnia, his eyes lazily scanning the spine of each book his fingers danced upon. Dark circles just beginning to set in under his electric eyes. His other hand, opposite to the bookshelf, was tucked in the pocket of his pants. He would take a small step forward and look over the books, from bottom shelf to top, causing him to lean far down before standing back up to his full height.
He was clearly looking for something, but it wasn’t clear what he was looking for. Kace wouldn’t be able to tell you himself if he was going to be honest. It was early and his minds was foggy with the need to sleep. He was set on finding a new book though, as he has stayed up the previous night reading through one. Without a new book to waste time on he wouldn’t have much to do.
He became more focused, using all his energy to process the titles of each book through his mind before deciding it was not the one he wanted. Normally he would pull a book out and look at the back, and put it back on the shelf as he decided no. He was trying to be quick though, so he could go back to his room and pass out for the day. He became more focused on each title, ignoring the world around him.
