So, Lucas has not had quite as interesting a life as some, but his past brings up the possibility of some rather interesting individuals. If you've ever looked at his history (which is right here, if I may just chime that in), you'll notice he grew up going to a boarding school for a couple years, during his youth/middleschool times, actually. However, what isn't initially apparent is that the rumors about the school were true: The school was designed around a government evaluation program assessing gifted individuals, though hardly any of the kids had powers at the time, so no definite results came of it.
But it's been a few years since then, about 4-5 years to be precise, which means ample time for powers to form, flourish, and grow, just as the kids probably changed as they grew up. In Lucas' case, he took on a more responsible appearance and personality, though he still has his mischievous side. And now, we get to see if any of the other kids who went to the school with him have powers of their own.
Only one person from the school was named, and that was one of Lucas' friends, Thomas. Aside from that, the boarding school was mixed gender, so not limited to boys only, and the character's design is up to you. Want them to be Superman as a kid? Ehh, sorta cliche, but it's your thing. Most important is that these kids were friends, so some coordination should be done so that all who end up in the group know what the other behaved like.
