Bumping into a bundle of cuteness (Kia)

[Nicholas]

Nicholas's day had gone very boringly classes, some breakfast, and then some more classes so he decided to go where he spent most of his time in a hurry as to see if he could find something to do there. He knew walking through the halls quickly was a bad idea and not looking where he was going with that was an even worse idea, but he was to tried of school to really care about either. Some how he was lucky enough to avoid running straight over someone in the halls however luck always ends up turning at some point and it looks like his was going to change when he reached the courtyard. He walked out of the hallways and turned into the courtyard usually entering the forest from the courtyard and walked straight into a smaller than him not noticing her before it was to late. " I am so sorry miss I was not looking where I was going and didn't see you until I was already walking into you" He quickly said his word almost joining the other and he lowered his hand to help her up.

"Dancing bears, painted wings,"

Kia was in the forest, being the cute self she always was. She was skipping, jumping from the roots of one tree to another until she almost reached the outer edging of the courtyard.

She had been out, talking to animals that crossed her way. And to tell the truth, with all the fighting going on at this school, she was suprised that the animals had stayed to watch the show. Ok, ok. Maybe she had talked to them a little about staying, but she couldn't have possibly talk to all of them, so it was still a mystery to her. Of course, no one had to tell the rocks to stay. They haven't moved an inch, not did they plan too. They had no reason to leave, much to Kia's dismay.

Mid-jump, from one root to another, she fell backward as she hit a tree. No, it was a person. She let out a squeak as her bum hit the roots of the tree she had just jumped from. It stung and she squeezed her eyes, sitting still for a second. She opened one eye, only to see a hand and a voice.

"I am so sorry miss I was not looking where I was going and didn't see you until I was already walking into you."

It was a voice from heaven, wasn't it? It had to be! An angel had come down to rescue her! It was about time. As her vision steadied, she saw a boy instead. She didn't waver, and she wasn't disappointed. A boy was an angel in disguise anyway. She raised her hand like a princess, all dainty-like.

She giggled softly, not letting this stinging butt bring her down, "It's fine! It was equally my fault. Um... Nicholas, right?" She tilted her head, taking his hand, "Thank you, you know, for helping me up."

"Things I almost remember."

[Nicholas]

" Oh no it was no problem at the very least I should of been watching where I was going, but enough of that yes my name is Nicholas and if I remember correctly I didn't get a chance to get your name when we last met may I ask for it now seeing as you did just refer to me by my name and it is kinda rude to not return the favor" he said feeling guilty about running into her. ' I am surprised she took it so well if I was her I would be polite about but still be pretty annoyed  with the other person. Maybe she just hides it well' he thought to himself nervously.

"And a song someone sings,"

She took his hand, using her other hand to push herself off the roots and off the tree. Kia felt happy that she remembered a name, as she had problems with memorizing some things. It was an achievement and a big one at that. It then hit her that he indeed did not know her name.

She blinked, confused, before gasping, "I'm so sorry for being rude and not introducing myself!" Her eyes were soft and sincere as she stood there. She took both her hands, releasing his, and held it to her chest as she winked, "I am Kia, and I live in the prefect dorm of 5G!"

She looked at Nicholas, a dumb, yet cute, look on her face. It was quite the way to introduce herself, but that's what she usually did when she was meeting a boy for the first (or second) time. And sometimes, she needed to re-introduce herself if her memory had blocked her from remembering the meeting. It didn't my really occur to Kia that giving the place where she lived was a bit private, but even if it did, she trusted Nicholas enough not to go stalk her.

"Once upon a December."

[Nicholas]

" Oh no no it was rude of me not to ask you when we first met and well since you have said  where you live I guess I should do the same courtesy well I spend more time out here than in my dorm but my dorm is 407 umm neutral rooms or do they only have two sets?"  he said with confusion and curiosity creeping into his voice toward the ends. ' I really should learn if they somehow found a way to separate the rooms with that faction too or if they don't know who all the members. Wait of course they don't know if they knew all of those in it why would they allow the fight to go on or what if that is what they want us fighting to like train us for battle or something' he thought to himself going into quiet concentration pulling his hat down and thinking about it for a few minutes. 'Well whatever just thinking about this isn't going to get me anywhere and I probably freaked her out with all this silence or at least unnerved her' he thought to himself with a shake of his whole body. " Sorry about that that topic has so many holes that involve either secret information or interpretation it gets me thinking"

"Someone holds me safe and warm,"

She waved her hand dismissively when he said it was his fault, and that he was the one being rude. Surely it she at fault! It was against her moral code not to introduce herself to people, especially boys. She then couldn't help but giggle as she replied, "There's only the prefect dorms and then the forms for everyone else."

She stood there, patient. She watched as he thought, giggling softly to the different faces he was making. She found it quite funny, so she stayed quiet. Kia didn't mind the silence, as it allowed her to think some too. Then again, she hadn't anything to think about at the moment.

She blinked as he spoke again, and she stood on her tip-toes, trying to be taller than him although clearly failing. However, as she stood on her tiptoes, she reached his chin, and she tilted her head up a little, looking up at him as she stood close. "I have no idea what that was about.... Wow," she stated her eyes sparkling, "You're tall..."

"Horses prance through a silver storm."

[Nicholas]

" Yeah sorry about that just frustrating to not know much about something so prominent in my life which it is now because it is basically always going fight that I have to avoid" he said with a casual shrug. Well it was till he heard the words " You're tall" come out of her mouth. After that he couldn't help both laughing and smiling widely. " Yeah I wish miss but truth be told you are just shorter than almost everyone your ever going to meet" he stated between laughs. He couldn't believe what he heard him tall ' Welp that was unexpected ever no matter where I went I haven't been much taller than anyone have I?' he thought to himself slightly questioning himself. " Sorry miss for my little outburst just was funny to me been awhile since I have been taller than someone by as much as you" he said trying to withhold his smile and the urge to pat her head.

"Figures dancing gracefully,"

Kia nodded, and she understood. "I understand. That's why I chose to be a prefect. I'm safe since I'm really weak," she confessed, looking away with a saddened expression. Well, that was a half-truth. It was true that was one reason she wanted to be a prefect, but it wasn't the whole truth. And to tell the truth, she didn't know the other reasons why. She really didn't, and she hoped to find out soon enough.

She crossed her arms, puffing her cheeks out like a little girl. She knew she she was small, but he didn't have to point it out! Only females could do that as long as they called her cute along with it! Ok ok. Maybe guys could say the same things and she would feel fine. Kia was saddened by the fact that what he said was true. She was going to be smaller than most people she met, no matter what she did.

Then he went into thinking mode, and she stood silently. Her smile was big, cheesy, and warm. Her eyes were wide open, and her eyes had a innocent twinkle to them. She tilted her head slightly, closing her eyes for a moment as she smiled. And she opened her eyes as he spoke again. She waved her hand dismissively,her tone light and teasing, "It's fine! I guess I would be the same if I met someone smaller than me." Her hair was puffed up, and her little hair stuck up even more than it usually did. It was like an invitation to pet her. Like, for real.

Even though he had been just been laughing basically at her it grounded him immediately when he saw the sad look on the little girl's face. ' Of course I made her sad me and my big mouth'. " Sorry about that comment about your height I doubt your weaker than me or many if they let you into the perfects so how do you not think about yourself like that okay?" He said trying his best to be reassuring after his rude remark.

Then she huffed puffing her cheeks slightly as though it seemed to Nicholas as if she was pouting like a little girl would if you refused to give her some juice. ' Really she is so cute and no inner Marshal not that way in the just cute way' he thought clenching his right hand slightly to help himself resit the urge to pet her head and argued with what he knew Marshal might say all in a second. Then she dismissed his remark cheerily and he looked down to see her big smile on her face looking up to him. ' Okay I can't resit she is so cute she is probably going to dislike this but I can't resit' he thought to himself hesitantly petting her head. " You really are something else than everyone else aren't you" he spoke more to himself than to her with a big smile forming on his face.

"Far away, long ago,"

Kia smiled sweetly, regaining her happy-go-lucky attitude. Sure, she had been sad, but sadness wasn't something that she allowed to take over her emotions long.

He was funny: real funny. Her? Strong than him? Kia doubted it, as she didn't even know how strong her powers even were. Even the name of her powers were a little dis-heartening.

She sighed, her tone light and bouncy, "Trust me, I'm not that strong. Besides, the prefects need all the help they can get! There can be rowdy kids at this school, you know?" She tilted her head slightly, smiling with her eyes closed. If she seemed innocent, she hoped he wouldn't argue back with her.

She was weak. End of story. Well, that's how she wanted it to be. In some twisted way, it gave her comfort to know that she was, in no way, strong or healthy or muscular.

And then, he petted her. He petted her little head, with her hair all or of place and her little hair sticking directly up. Kia blinked, her face suddenly getting hotter. She stuttered, losing her cool, "R-really though, I'm not different! I'm normal. I-I'm just a normal girl."

She was so embarrassed, her flushed face showing it.

"Glowing dim as an ember."

By now Nicholas was tried of standing up and wanted to at least sit down so e plopped down at the trunk of tree laying his head on a splotch of moss on the tree he had chosen. Still facing Kia he looked at her curiously " You do realize they probably need help because of how dangerous some people on here are right. I mean you don't seem like someone like you would get herself in something like that. Especially if you insist you are weak." He spoke an edge of worry creeping in his voice he didn't like the idea of this little sweet girl getting hurt in anyway let alone someone from this island. He didn't even notice the blushing before laughing at her stuttering and saying she was just a normal girl. " You do realize that the whole word normal around here doesn't even apply right. We are taken by the government to a deserted island to be taught to use powers unique to people like us. Our worries are so different than say a normal girl who would be most likely with her friends doing whatever they did after school" he spoke between laughs holding down his hat by the rim to keep it from falling off his head.

Kia watched as he plopped down in front of her, internally freaking out by this motion. Was she getting too boring? No, it couldn't be - could it? She bit her lower lip softly, trying to keep her worries to herself. This was the first time she had ever seen a reaction like this, and she by the looks of it, she wasn't handling it too well either. She watched as he sat, looking for indicators of boredom or something that Kia could pick up and make more energetic and physically active. She had to keep up her appearances, and trudge on through the meeting. She had to keep this interesting - it was her sworn duty as, well, Kia.

There - a conversation appeared. She puffed out her cheeks, puffing out her cheeks. "They need help, just like I said. If I die or if I live - it doesn't matter. As long as I help in someway, I'm satisfied. I won't help much for the cause, I'm sure, but all of it will be worth it as long as something I do actually impacts someone - something." She explained, her face holding that of a serious expression. That was an idea she held firmly and deeply rooted in her heart. She wouldn't let her ideals fall on her watch, and she would back her statement up with all of the passion in her heart. She stared at him for a second, as if daring him to argue with her or to say something that could possibly bring her down.

She put her hands on her hips, teetering on the tip of her heels. "Normal is a word that applies differently to different situations. This treatment is normal for us. It wouldn't be normal for others, but we're used to it by now - it's normal to us. Normal is actually quite subjective." Kia argued back, her little piece of hair bouncing up and down as she swayed from side to side.
