Basics
Name: Eteri Ines
Nicknames: N/A
Age: 16
Birthday: December 12th
Grade: 10th
Power:
- Supernatural Agility - Eteri has the gift of agility. While at first glance, one might just look at her like she's a born gymnast. However, her power allows her to not only achieve amazing feats that surpass that of an Olympic competitor, but to continue them much further than any competitive athlete. Flips, balance, swinging on bars, so on. However, this agility is limited to how much weight she can carry. By herself, Eteri can continue a routine for hours, but if she is carrying a backpack full of heavy books or weighed down by anything else, her balance will be affected and will both tire her out easier and cause her to make mistakes. Also, if her senses are dulled (i.e. been drugged, suffered a concussive blow, etc.) this will seriously affect her gift to the point where she may not even be able to make it to the second leap.
- Flowmotion - Eteri also has a gift of controlling the motion of her body in nearly any state. In the air, on the ground, or in water, she is able to adapt and move accordingly. Originally thought to be something she developed during her parkour training, the girl is able to use almost any incline to her advantage and move along it, be it running up a wall, along one, grinding on rails WITHOUT skates, kick jumps, slipping through tight spaces, so forth. However, like her agility, its effectiveness can be impaired via any heavy weight or harm to her physical well-being.
Member Group: Neutral
Canon or not: Not
Appearance: A girl with short brown hair and brown eyes, standing at about four feet, eleven inches. An athletic build, though not holding much of a figure, Eteri's casual attire consists of a black turtle-neck shirt hidden underneath a hoodie (normally yellow, but not always), dark shorts or pants depending on the season, and a pair of boots or sneakers depending on what she's doing that day.
In her uniform, she hasn't done anything to it, but underneath the skirt, she keeps on some black spandex shorts, knowing her abilities are going to be put to use one way or another, so no one will get the idea that making her flip around will earn them any kind of 'peek'.
Personality
Overall Personality:Eteri is a rather simple girl, when one gets down to it. She is rather forward and honest about her thoughts and feelings on matters, normally speaking to either make conversations last or is simply wanting to help out by giving some sort of advice and/or comfort. However, she has a tendency to come off as blunt, if not downright rude. The girl doesn't really mean to be that way to most people, though, and she'll apologize soon after when she sees what she did wrong.
There is one thing about her that she isn't entirely proud of. Eteri has a short fuse, and all it really takes are a few wrong words to set her off. Once it happens, she has no real control of her actions. A loose tongue, swinging fists, threats on a person's life, she'll do whatever she deems fit to get her point across to someone if no one is able to stop her. Though there is one redeeming factor to this. When she's angry, her voice suddenly hits this tone that can send shivers down the spine of people who are more timid than they'd like to admit. As such, it's entirely possible for them to back down before she starts any physical confrontation.
Underneath all the rough edges, Eteri is really a good girl at heart. She tries to be sensitive to the people she likes (though her bluntness can get in the way of that), act as emotional support even though she needs it more, and is willing to stare death in the face for the people she trusts. The only hard part is looking past her first impression and finding out just what kind of girl she is. A lot of people might actually be surprised.

History:Life was never meant to be lived in seclusion. Stuck behind closed doors and keeping to oneself builds a weak mind and soul. This is the teachings Eteri's father has always taught her and her siblings. Although, she herself did not really come into this world as such and open and social person. She was a very quiet child as a baby and into her toddler years. Only getting attention when she felt she really needed it. Being so young, they didn't think much of it at first until later.
It was at the age of five that her family really took notice of her shyness. It was when they first moved into Detroit, Michigan, getting a visit from a couple of neighbors to welcome them and give them some info of the area. The introductions went long smoothly from them all, aside from Eteri herself. She wouldn't dare come out from behind her mother, showing nothing more than the corner of her eye.
It was the early signs of some difficult times for Eteri, and it became obvious to everyone barely a couple of weeks into her first year of school. She would just sit in class, stiff as stone, and wouldn't participate in anything. When her father asked why she acted this way, she simply said, "They're scary..."
There was a meeting with her teacher and principal about how to handle her, the staff stating solutions that would cater to her and her shyness, but her parents wanted her to break out of that shell as early as she could. Even despite the staff saying it was a normal case and she would likely grow out of it, they still insisted that she'd be included more in group activity.
So it was done, and Eteri was brought up in several social exercises and assignments. It was a very slow start, but by the end of the year, she started to lose her hesitation when called on. However, deep down, she really didn't like how she was called on so much. It bothered her, but she didn't really say anything. She knew it was her parents that asked them to do this, after all.
As a few more years went by, when the girl was ten, Eteri was more social than before, and even had herself a few friends outside of family relations. Granted, she still wasn't the one to jump into a pool of ideas to add her own, but the fact that she was more outgoing warmed her mother's heart. Her father, however, believed there was more inside of her. Something like a light that was still being covered.
At twelve, Eteri checked in on her brother at one point, seeing him browsing the web at first, until he brought up this strange looking program. So, she asked, finding out it was a program to make synth-music. After a few examples, Eteri near-demanded that she would be given some of the tracks he made, but not all. In fact, the pleading was loud enough for her sister to hear down the hall, giving the eldest sibling an idea. If Eteri was interested in others hobbies, she would give her little sister something different.
It took little to no effort to get Eteri outside, the girl being outside more whether it was from an invite from friends or if she just wanted to lay out in the sun for an hour or two. But instead of the front yard, she took her to a skate park. Eteri wasn't much of a skater in any sense of the word, but her sister wanted to show her something different. It was in that moment that the girl was introduced to parkour, watching her sister jump, twist, and perform different moves that she had never seen her do before.
It was only a couple of days later that Eteri and her sis went out to let the youngest sibling give it a try herself. It was cloudy, some thunder sounding off in the distance, but had yet to rain. Not really worried about storms at the time, they ignored it and started practicing, Eteri having a bit of a hard time catching up, but seemed to get the hang of it by her third attempt. Everything was going great and they were having a great time... until lightning struck. Literally. Did Eteri get hit? No, but the bolt seemed to come out of nowhere and it actually struck right in front of her.
The girl was so stricken with fear that she lost all the strength in her body in that moment, scaring her sister and thinking the bolt may very well have hit her. But everything settled down after a while, although that moment would have left Eteri deathly afraid of lightning since. Not that her family would blame her. She could have been very well hit by it.
Regardless, during the warmer parts of the year, Eteri would make plans either with her sister and/or her friends to go out and do some parkour for the fun of it. The hobby eventually left Eteri becoming the forward one and asking everyone else, if not trying to convince them to come with her. It was in that moment that her father discarded his plans of trying to get his dauther's personality to develop, seeing it was already coming into effect without his intervention. She was becoming more of a leader.
By the time Eteri was 15, she signed up to join the gymnastics team in her High school. A sophomore trying out was nothing new, but more of the judges and captains already believed she would have been a simple pick for the junior varsity team if she shown some sort of skill. But no one, not even Eteri, expected what was going to happen. It was a moment that, not knowing it at first, would change the girl's life forever.
It was just before her tryout, Eteri was laying down on a bench for a while as she was waiting for her turn. Before she knew it, the girl started drifting off into sleep. She had some sort of dream, something that she still can't remember to this day, but what she does remember is how she woke up. It was like something snapped in her. There was a bunch a pain rushing through her body and it wouldn't relent. It coursed through her chest, spreading out in every direction through her joints, limbs, and everything else until it suddenly came crashing back to the center of her body, jerking her up.
She was gasping, knowing she was hurting before, but then felt nothing out of the ordinary. The girl just started checking herself, wondering if anything was different or out of place. But no. She was just fine. But once she felt satisfied, there was a voice that sounded rather harsh over the speakers.
"Ms. Ines, we'll be moving on if you don't get out here!"
She darted out quick, apologizing for not coming out sooner, but didn't waste any more time after that. Once in place, all everyone was focused on was Eteri's routine... But once it started, jaws started to drop one by one. She made each maneuver flawlessly. Every flip angled perfectly. Each landing, as soft as a feather. By the time it was over, even Eteri looked at herself, not believing how she was able to do all of that. However, ever since then, she was in the center of the spotlight.
Eteri made a name for herself by her junior year. Popular amongst her peers, favorited by her coaches, and her face put on the papers for an article about the upcoming regionals. "The most valuable player" was how she was referred, and her family was more than proud of what she was doing. The girl's life was looking up, and she couldn't see how it could come crashing down.
It was after practice one evening, as Eteri chose to walk home. She had done it a hundred times before, wanting to get a little extra exercise in before she went to bed. As she was about half way home, though, there was this man that appeared before her, in a rather expensive looking suit. He asked her to "come with us", not even noticing a couple more guys moving in behind her until they were already in position. All the girl knew was that there were red flags being raised, so she refused. Not surprisingly, they started to become physical, but she dodged out of the way, jumping over one of them, before then dashing off.
She was sure she could give them the slip, but then suddenly another group of people in suits appeared from the street in front of her. Getting a little scared, she dashed into an alley, knowing her skill at parkour could give her an edge in this narrow stretch. But then something unbelievable happened. The ground at the end of the alley suddenly rose up and created a wall. Surprised, she skidded to a halt, trying to process what just happened, but the sound of footsteps closing in made her focus on the more important task. The wall was high... but the other walls where higher. Not to mention the fire escape, the trash-cans, the boxes...
Eteri went to work, jumping up on some boxes leading up to the ladder of the fire escape, which she scaled easily and then climbed it to the point where it only took a quick wall run and a kick off it to grab the tall blockade... But just below saw five more men in suits staring up at her from the other side. However, the wall was just tall enough to let her jump up to the roof of one of the buildings.
But then there was a helicopter... Not sure what else to do, Eteri kept looking around, but before she could figure out another route, she felt something hit her in the back. It pinched big time, however before she could get a look at it, her consciousness faded, only remembering the bright lights of the chopper. It was almost as scary as the lightning striking in front of her.
The girl woke up on a table in what looked like a small interrogation room. Just a few chairs, the table she was on, and walls, floor, and ceiling all painted one color. The only thing missing here was the one-way window. But as if on cue, there was this man and woman coming in, both in professional looking attire with the woman carrying a set of files.
"Hello, Miss Ines." The mans voice was very calm. Almost friendly, were it not for the fact that she had no clue what was going on. "I'm sure you're wondering why you are in this strange place."
That was simply scratching the surface, but the man continued on explaining before she could say anything. He explained that she had shown signs of something immense. Supernatural, even. A 'gift' that needed to be nurtured and taught how to be properly used. As such, she was 'scouted' by a select group of people to be brought 'here'.
That was when Eteri started shooting her question. Questions like 'What is here?' and 'Why me?' and on top of it all 'what about my family?' It was then the files the woman had was set out in front of her, letting Eteri look at them to find some of the answers she was looking for. Although, she didn't really like it.
Ashford Academy. A private school for the 'gifted' child to further their education above and beyond the normal curriculum. However, this 'gift' wasn't something regarding math or science. As she saw it being labeled, she was a child with a gift for 'supernatural agile movement and reflex'. Reading it and thinking back to her gymnastics tryout, it finally became clear why she was able to do all that stuff with what felt like no effort.
But there was still the question of her family. "You told them you got a scholarship," the woman answered, earning a blank look from Eteri. "You don't remember? We visited your home and offered you a chance to come to this Academy. You, yourself, convinced your family that you wanted to come here, so the preparations were made and you were sent to Ashford immediately."
So much started to swell up in Eteri in that moment, fear and anger above all else, but before she could actually jump up, she felt her legs being restrained. Looking down, there were indeed leather straps on the legs of the chair that kept her legs set in place. Looking back at them, the man stated she had an altercation with one of the students here during her walk in, and the security there demanded that she would be restrained until she got her head in order.
"They are very strict here, Miss Ines, but it's why Ashford is the top of it's class." With a grin on his face, the man stood, but there was this uneasy feeling in the pit of Eteri's stomach as she looked him in the eye. "Welcome to Ashford Academy, Eteri. I'm sure you'll fit in well here."

RP Sample: "Do you take me for an idiot?!" A voice echoed through the building with the volume she spoke. Everyone there knew who was talking and when she was mad, you better be on high alert. "I don't care what your reasons were! There was no hit put on the person you killed!"
"Head Philomel, I just wanted to give the person a break from going through the process--"
"THERE'S A REASON WHY THE DAMN PROCESS IS THERE!" There was a loud crash from beyond her office, making people who were listening nearby jump. "... Get out."
"Head Phil--"
"Get out before I put a hit on you MYSELF!" The door swung open as a bunch of knives barely missing the person coming out as well as those who were listening just beyond the door. As the man ran off, someone was brave enough to look inside and find an enraged Garnet still in a pose after she threw the knives.
"Damn idiot..." She finally sits down again, the sees the heads peaking around the corners. "Do you want to be next?!" Then they all leave in haste. "Stupid sentimental people... They'll jeopardize my entire guild."
Garnet pulled out her own dagger, tracing the tip of the blade. "Then again, this place was founded on sentimental stuff, wasn't it?"
