Power: Melanokinetic Constructs: Cateline can create constructs, be it simple sticks or strings of yarn or semi-living beings, out of ink. Though she can't outright create the ink, she can expand on what's already present in order for her constructs to grow and stretch to sizes larger than the paper they are coming from. She is extremely unpracticed with this, though. She is constantly accidentally pulling her inked drawings off of the pages of her sketchbook. She has little to no control with the power at the moment, though she has been trying her hardest to keep her inked drawings on paper, thinking of the power as more of a curse at the moment than a blessing. The constructs strengthen depending on her mood, often times seeming strongest when she is confident about her abilities while being flimsy when she's scared or frightened. They aren't all too draining on her, though she always tries to shove the power down quickly. Extended use will prove to be draining on the girl, needing major training in order to use the abilities effectively for extended amounts of time. The largest construct she can form at the moment is that of a small house cat.
Artistic Intuition: Suzu has an innate, supernatural level of expertise and focus when it comes to the arts. She instinctively can tell how a piece of art is supposed to flow, leading to her being n excellent artist. She can draw anything that comes to mind, mix paint for the exact colour she wants, and sculpt in ways that someone normally needs practice in order to be able to do. It also extends, in a minor sense, to music. She can pick up an instrument and learn quickly how to play it, however it's just an accelerated learning, taking a quarter of the time to master an instrument, the muscle memory being what needs to built the most, especially when it comes to brass instruments. She can also match pitches perfectly and tell one pitch from another with ease.
Voice Manipulation: Cate's voice has an unnatural ability to match nearly any sound she hears as long as it's within her own vocal range. She can mimic most people if she chooses to and match the pitch of singers. She has an octave range of six octaves, though it did increase when the power manifested from her original three.

Appearance: Cateline is a fairly pretty young girl with personality quirks that can, at the same time, make her look adorable to some people.. The girl has a modest build, standing at 5'1" with features that reflect the Japanese heritage that her mother's side of the family brings. She has a modest chest and a fairly slim form, not really having any major curves to be seen. She has dark, blue/violet (depending on the lighting) eyes and long, dark blue hair that is normally held in place by a headband. Normally hidden under her clothes is extensive scarring, especially along her back and sides where there are obviously burn scars. Along her arms there is also some scarring, though this is mostly from broken glass, her father having been fairly abusive and nearly burning her alive before finally being found out.
As far as clothing is concerned she normally sticks with anything with long sleeves and showing as little skin as possible when it comes to her back/sides. She refuses to wear tank tops, not wanting anyone to see the scars, fearing anyone trying to become her "white knight". She wears jeans most of the time, and when she wears skirts she always wears stocking with them to cover her legs. She normally wears converse or other kinds of simple flats, trying to match them to her current clothing. She also has an affinity for crazy socks, loving to wear striped socks whenever she's not wearing stockings.
Personality
Overall Personality: Cateline is a fairly shy, reserved girl. She is fairly nervous around crowds of people, on edge whenever more then three or four people are around her. The girl is fairly quiet, sticking to herself for the most part unless talking about art or music. Though she doesn't have any true social anxiety, her mistrust of most people leads to people believing she does. Normally she keeps to herself and avoids people, sketching in her free time to keep her mind off of things and relax, stemming a nickname people at her old school gave her, Sketch. She never seems to finish a sketch though, leading to her sketchbooks often times being filled with random little things, some mostly finished, others half finished.
The young artist is fairly smart, being able to pick up most subjects quickly, though not on genius levels by far. She rarely studies for tests, preferring to sketch and paint instead. She comes off as somewhat of an airhead at times too, jokes flying over her head more often then not. Despite keeping to herself for the most part, she can be fairly chatty with people she gets along with, often times being fairly energetic around those she knows well and trusts. She will rarely leave a friend's side, especially when she is close to them because of her trust issues, not really trusting much of anyone past those she is close to.
As far as fears, she is deathly afraid of fire and bodies of water. She will have a full blown panic attack when around any flame that is uncontrolled, the only ones not really bothering her being the flames of a candle. She is, overall, scared of those who show anger towards her and will become fairly submissive, not knowing how to handle it any other way due to her experiences with her father, which can frustrate people who are close to her at times. If she is around someone while she herself is being threatened she will often times cling to them, wanting protection, though this is the only time where she actually likes having someone to act as her "white knight" and will get irritated if someone tries to do so any other time. She has, however, shown a few signs of being more independent, hopefully becoming fully independent once she gets over what her father did to her. She'll also panic if anyone even catches a glimpse of the scarring on her, not wanting anyone to throw a fit over them or try babying her because of it.

History: Cateline was born to what could have been a very happy, loving family if her birth hadn't been met with tragedy. Her birth ended up having major complications, her mother being unable to make it out of the event with her life. Her father handled it well at first, caring for his daughter well while slowly falling to alcoholism. As he fell deeper into it he slowly started to turn his frustrations onto the closest person to him at the time, his then five year old daughter who he had been raising and treating alright up to that point. The sudden change shocked and confused the girl, her life having been alright up to that point, no real bad things having happened as far as she knew, past being a motherless child.
His change of heart completely broke the girl, questions constantly popping up in her mind. Had she done something wrong or did something to deserve such a fate? Could she trust anyone now? She started to pull away from everyone at school, which wasn't really all that noticed since she had always pretty much kept to herself. She hid her scars and injuries from the abuse, always making sure that no one saw them, not wanting anyone to fret over her home life. She figured she deserved it in some way or another, thinking that she had done something wrong.
When the girl turned thirteen her father nearly drowned her in the pool, kicking her in knowing full well that she couldn't swim. The girl only survived because she was able to get out of the water via the ladder before she took on too much water. This, however, scarred the girl, forever more keeping at least five feet between herself and any body of water deeper than her waist. That wasn't the end of it for the girl, the final straw coming from her father the night of her fourteenth birthday. That day her father, by what he claimed was an accident, lit her clothes on fire. The resulting fire ended up lighting their house a blaze, the girl getting away with her life by a stroke of luck.
She spent twelve months in a burn care center, getting treatment for burns that were confirmed to have about 31% coverage of her skin area. During this time she started drawing a lot, having nothing better to do. around two months in she accidentally pulled a drawing that she had just finished inking off the page, something she hadn't even tried to do. An official who had been tasked to keep an eye on her with her father's continued trial, waiting till she was recovered enough while all keeping an eye on her well being. The man's original goal had been to adopt the girl, and even after seeing the powers manifest had still planned to adopt her, intending to at least let her fully recover before reporting, if even then.
His plans, however, didn't last long. Another agent, this one powered and with psionic abilities, caught onto what he was planning and reported him. What exactly happened to the man is unclear, but Cateline was almost instantly slated to be moved to Ashford once she was released from the hospital, physical therapy being put in place for the girl once she was slated to arrive. The months following were boring for the girl, who took a liking to just drawing, having always been someone to draw in her free time it wasn't hard for her to default to. Once she was released, and she had made her statement for the courts, she was transferred to Ashford shortly before her fifteenth birthday.
