There are many words to describe spending your days at Ashford, but for Lucas, boring was the most prevalent one of the day. School activities had been slow, students ran about in a flurry, and the lack of any real extracurricular activities made it very limiting on what one could do for fun. As bored as he was, Lucas felt he needed to do something or he would start to go crazy from the monotony. As he reached his dorm, he ultimately decided on swimming, and he felt there would be no better place to swim than the beach, especially with the fresh air and sandy shores to relax you.
And, just like that, he threw together his swim apparel and started out his room, waltzing out through the forest. He honestly found the forest oddly serene and disconcerting at the same time. Still, they were a necessity for this hell hole to exist with some semblance of natural appearance. That thought flew from his conscious mind as he took the first few steps onto the beach. The bright sun, cool breeze, and enticing waters put together an image of paradise in hell. And, while that description seemed bleak, Lucas didn't let that get him down. He did however, decide to lounge a bit in the sand.
As he rested in the coarse sand, his eyes gazed about the coastline in curiosity. It seemed that he wasn't the only one thinking this was a good idea. Several singular or lightly grouped students dotted the beach around him, ranging from lounging around as he did to swimming to even a bit of volleyball. He had to admit, this was the much better choice for the obvious benefit of catching sight of the beach babes. If nothing else, Lucas was still a young man, and, as a young man, he did appreciate the female form. He chuckled at the thought of finding a girl he could could level with emotionally and mentally; that he could open up to in every way possible. And, if they were pleasing to the eyes, it would be even better. The thought brought a genuine smile to Lucas' face, as he leaned back and sighed contently for the moment.
