Plant Manipulation (major)
Val has the ability to manipulate plants for short periods of time. This means that she can only make the changes she made to the plants last up to a maximum of one hour, then the plants will naturally revert back to normal. Although Val can make plants move, grab onto things, grow faster, be stronger, she cannot make plants from nothing and therefore can only use this power when she's in an area with a lot of plants. She can, however, cause accelerated growth to plants and therefore can use seeds to sprout a plant for her to use. However, Val can not manipulate more than one plant at a time and she gets exhausted the more she switches between plants. This means that she can manipulate the leaves and stems of one individual plant, but cannot manipulate other plants - she's limited to the one (what defines one plant in this case is a plant that shares the same roots). She cannot manipulate physiological traits of the plants - meaning she can't make them poisonous or anything along those lines, she can only cause them to move or grow beyond their normal size. However - the moment the plant dies, she loses control over it and it reverts back to normal. This means that if anyone cuts the plant or burns it, the part harmed immediately stops doing what Val demands of it. As mentioned earlier, every time she starts and uses a new plant when the old one is destroyed or she stops using it, she loses a drastic amount of energy, only being able to switch plants ten times before her power runs out of fuel and she risks being knocked out.
Natural Poison Immunity (minor)
All poisons that originate from natural sources like plants, humans, or animals will not affect Valkyrie - meaning that even lethal poisons emitted from humans tend not to harm her as badly and although she will be sick, she will be able to survive in the poisonous atmosphere for a lot longer. This is the same with insect bites, poisonous plants, etc. This means she's twice as durable to poisons and that weak plant stings have next to no effect on her (like stinging nettles) - but any form of chemical poisoning created in a lab is just as effective against her as they are against normal humans.
Animal "Friend"ship (minor)
Animals get along with Val very well, and most predators will not attack her unless manipulated by other powers or extremely hungry. They are more likely to do as she asks them to or protect her, although only certain animals that she has a connection with will put their lives on the line for her. This does not mean she can summon animals where there are none. This is a constant aura, but, despite the name, this does not automatically make all animals her friend. Pets with close connections to their owner will still attack her if she bothers their owner and its within that pet's personality, they just are more likely to like her. Insects are included under animals - and mosquitos and black flies tend not to bite her but only to buzz around her.

Appearance:
Valkyrie is a brown-haired individual with long, wavy hair that reaches halfway down her back and is normally not very well kept. When she goes out in the light more often her hair does have natural lighter brown highlights, which is how it normally appears due to her love for the outdoors, but when she avoids the sun for lengthy periods of time it turns into a much more solid dark brown. Similarly, she's quite tan and has freckles around her nose and under her eyes. Her eyes are mainly a brilliant green but near the pupil they become a blue-ish green colour that resembles the colour of many mountain lakes. She's relatively small in both width and height, being only 5'2" tall, having a very frail build, and being very thin. This means that her muscles weak, although she's got a lot of endurance due to the energy her power requires. She's quite naturally tanned, due to her constant outdoorsy attitude. Thankfully, she's very small-chested which allows her to maneuver much more quickly in forests, which she enjoys to do, although she can be easily mistaken for a younger child due to her "little-y" appearance.
Valkyrie can easily be stereotypicalized into a teenage hippie - living and breathing the part. On a normal day, she'll have a brown leather band wrapped around her head that she's had for many years, that she will replace instantly the day it breaks. She normally wears "hippie" clothes when she isn't forced into the uniform, from long, bright dresses with odd markings on them to baggy pants and tie-dye tank tops, although she tends to skip out on the stereotypical sunglasses and she loves to wear bright socks under her leather shoes. She rarely puts up her hair except when she's required to fight someone (which she never, ever will want to do anyways), and in that scenario she will put it in a tidy bun. Otherwise, though, her hair is extremely messy. She keeps herself very clean, although by the end of the day she'll normally be covered in branches, fur and dirt due to her tendency to explore the wild and love for animals.
Personality
[/b]- Val loves exploring new places and adventuring out in the wild, with a specific love for animals and plants. She can identify almost all plants in a moment because of her constant outdoor explorations, and she's extremely pro-environment and "eco-friendly" (she's also a vegetarian).
Positive:
* Calm- Val loves keeping the peace and even in conflicts she'll remain unnervingly relaxed, even occasionally talking with her opponent in a lighthearted, relaxed manner. She's not scared of participating in conflict, though, if someone is either harming the environment or starting fights.
* Loving/trustful- The "hippie" is very quick to like people, and immediately trusts most people that don't have obvious problems. She loves to preach to people about the importance of the environment but she's very respectful and adoring of others without prejudice. She's the first in line to help if help is needed, no matter who it is asking for aid.
* Outspoken- She seeks to break conventional societal restrictions and choose her own way of life, meaning that she's quick to shout out her opinion and isn't afraid to be judged by other people.
* "Natural"- Val is very straightedge, avoiding all things she deems too "artificial". She feels that she becomes one with nature in this manner, having her mind unhindered by drugs or alcoholic drinks, even including caffeine.
* Spiritual- Valkyrie believes in a variety of different religions, mainly centring around Buddhism. She's very peaceful because of this, believing in a life after death and the need to be kind to others. However, she does not make her beliefs well known and very rarely says them, mainly because she believes that people shouldn't have to have a reason to be nice, and that it's not her place to force other people to live the same lifestyle as her.[/ul]
Negative:
* Old-fashioned- Val's thought process is relatively old-fashioned, mainly with scientific ideas as she doesn't even believe in a few facts that have been proven - including evolution which she finds difficult to understand.
* Technologically incapable- Technology has never been Val's friend, nor her it. She absolutely despises using computers, phones, watches, and prefers to go off the nature using natural lighting and the sun to tell the time. This keeps her almost socially isolated, with her tending to be alone in forests. The only exception is that she loves photography, and will occasionally go out just to take photos of wildlife and landscapes.
* Odd- Because she's not scared of what people think of her, Val tends to say things that may seem weird, including placing a lot of importance on plant and animal life around people. Although she means no harm, it may come off as weird and people have a tendency to avoid her because of it. She lives in her own world, although she can hold a conversation with someone if they ignore the extreme oddness that she emits.
* Very open- Val is unnervingly open, seeing that they are all children under the same sky and that they have the same body parts and feelings. Therefore, she doesn't care for social conventions limiting her speech, and is quick to talk about sex, periods, etc. if the conversation calls for it.
* Idealistic- Val tends not to be able to see the downside in anything, being extremely positive at heart. This means that everything, to her, should work out perfectly if it's executed peacefully and with love, and when she makes decisions she tends to not see the negatives of her actions.[/ul]
Likes:
* Environment- Val can spend hours sitting in the dirt just listening to the sound of wind whistling between the leaves, and she absolutely adores being able to spend her time outside.
* Conversation- Although she's not very good at it, Val loves the company of other people and she enjoys talking about her beliefs and her love for everything and her desire for peace.
* Photography- Val loves capturing natural moments in life, and she will go out for entire days and just take photos of even the weirdest things that she sees, even if she never really looks back on all the photos.[/ul]
Dislikes:
* War- Val wouldn't be much of a hippie if she liked war or conflict. Although she's not scared of it, Val absolutely despises arguments and fights.
* Hunters- Valkyrie hates the idea of harming any living creature, and therefore is extremely against hunting and she makes that very clear.
* Disrespectful- Val blatantly despises disrespect, especially disrespect for life and for the world around them.[/ul]
Valkyrie is a dedicated vegetarian with many different quirks - including her care for plants. During the middle of the day, she might be found sitting out in a field of flowers, trying to help fix the one bent dandelion. Occasionally she even asks others to help her with these tasks, if she feels the extra hands are needed. She's a relatively lonely individual, as many people avoid her for her weirdness, but she is truly kind and caring to everyone no matter how they act to her. She's quick to forgive and forget, believing that everyone deserves a multitude of chances. Everyday she's bright and loving, rarely having moments in which she's upset or down.

Valkyrie was an unwanted birth that resulted from two alcoholics that experienced an unfortunate failure in protection - and were both against abortion. After she was born, the parents delved deeper into the realm of alcoholism and drugs in response to their lack of funds to pay for their child, dabbing in even extremes like heroine. They, fortunately, rarely brought this life back to the shabby apartment where Valkyrie would stay, and they started showing up less and less and seeming to forget about the young child, causing a slight stunt to her growth due to malnutrition. Eventually, when Val was two or three, they were both caught and sent to jail, and Valkyrie was sent to live with her grandmother and grandfather on her mother's side.
Val was lucky enough to not have been very badly harmed for the few years she spent with her parents before they got locked up, and her substitute parents were very kind to her. They raised her to be the opposite of what her biological parents were, and they both had very old-fashioned beliefs due to their age. Val adored her grandparents to death, wishing to emulate their attitudes in all aspects of her life.
Val would always go on walks with her grandparents, and this is where she found out her ability to manipulate plants and the friendships she shared with animals. Her grandparents both believed that she had been gifted with such beautiful powers so that she could help protect that planet, but they warned her not to tell anyone about them. Eventually, her grandmother and grandfather got old and sick, and spent more and more time in the hospital and less time outside. Val had nowhere else to go but there, and in her sorrow the plants around her in the hospital would often seem to move of their own accord. This was soon noticed by the nurses, who alerted the officials of the oddness, and she was torn away from her grandparents and taken to Ashford.
