The green haired teen was so close to landing it, due to issues rising as of late, he didn't have a lot of free time nor enough to skateboard until now. It was obvious he was rusty, but he'd get it soon enough. Too determined to quit, and he almost landed the kick flip that time. In frustration he murmured a few curses under his breath before pushing himself off of the concert floor. After quickly brushing off his gray polo shirt and blue jeans, Dietrich went to fetch his skateboard that rolled off seconds ago. His board ended up in some small flower area, school must of planted some patches around for looks, as they obviously weren't wild flowers. He almost felt like he should care, seeing as he had power over plants and such. In the end he brushed it aside, the gardener here can fix it up later or something.
Dietrich picked his board up by the truck and dropped it down on the walkway before getting back on. With his right leg he gave it a small push, not needing a lot of speed, when the time felt right, he slammed down the tail of the deck. It was like performing a basic ollie, only he needed to flick his left foot to the side to get the board to flip. And that's when he messed up again, another landing error, the board flipped fine and dropped on the correct side. The problem was his right foot dropped down on the tail, causing the skateboard to fly forward and Dietrich crashing backwards on the concrete again. "Shit.." He gritted his teeth as he sat up to look at the damage, scrap on his arm and hand, which bled a little. Good, no broken bones. Those were annoying and took to long to heal, even with his quickened recovery rate.
Definitely wasn't one for pads, after all they weren't necessary. Plus they were tedious, having to take a minute to put them on and off, that was annoying. It was better without them, wasn't like Dietrich needed them that much in the end. Glancing down, he wiped the sticky blood off of his hand on the side of his shirt, it wasn't that much anyway. He then stood up, going to grab his board and try again.
Learning to skateboard was all trial and error anyway.
