Parvana Dom
"I remember tears streaming down your face,"
Parvana had settled in the student lounge, easily sliding into one of the huge chairs that cluttered the space. It seemed to consume her, and she was silently afraid that there was a possibility of her not being able to stand back up. She squirmed around in the chair for a couple of seconds, trying to see if her fear was right. In fact, it actually spot-on, and Parvana swallowed nervously. She hadn't meant to get stuck in a chair, but now that she had, she felt so stupid about it. It had to be her - of all people - that was the one who got stuck in a lounge chair. Her being of light weight, it played a huge factor of not being able to get up easily. It was as if the chair didn't want for her to go, yet you could tell Parvana didn't share those same feelings. She didn't love the chair as it loved her.
What was she to do now? Was she just supposed to sit here and await for someone to come and rescue her? That would have been ideal, but she couldn't bear the embarrassment of having someone pulling her out. She honestly wouldn't have that as her title: 'The girl who was too weak to simply get out of a chair.' Her face reddened slightly at the thought, and she decided to at least make it look natural. She crossed her legs, slouching back as she did her best to make it seem like she was doing all right - that she didn't need help at all. She tried to look around, but in this position, she could barely see above the armrests - all her sight allowed her to see was in front of her.
She repressed a sigh, feeling very uncomfortable as she slouched there. She wasn't going to admit it, of course, but her back was not starting to hurt. She wished someone would help, but at the same time, she hoped nobody would notice her distress.
"When I said, 'I'll never let you go.'"
