Object Creation (Major) - Object Creation is a power that allows it's user to will a inanimate object into existence, using little more than there own thoughts. This ability does not limit objects that have not been created yet from being made, but it would limit the potential use of the item, as the user must be able to understand every component, and part that causes an object to do it's normal function. For example, one could theoretically bring a hover board into existence, but one would not be able to make that board actually hover, and wouldn't only have the cosmetic changes they wanted/saw for said board, as the technology needed to make a hover board actually hover, has not yet been discovered. That is not the only limitation this power provides; another, would be the size, and scope of an item, one is wishing to create. The bigger, and more complex the item, the harder it will be to make, and the longer it will take, which could end up forcing the item into a halfway state, or rather limited production state, if the user is interrupted during there time concentration. An example of this would be, if one were trying to make a simple one door, three rooms house. The user could possibly make this, as the idea, and structure could be simple enough for them to construct it in there mind, therefor constructing it in real life, but the user would have to take time based on the scale they were going on. To add to that, if the user were happened to be interrupted, the process would stop within' that moment, resulting in an object that was left at the point of interruption, possibly half the house, or a house with only one room, etc.
Partial Addiction Manipulation (Major) - Addiction Manipulation, is the ability to manipulate, and form a certain type of addictive stimuli that sends signals to a targets brain, causing it to go through two resulting Stimuli. Reinforcing Stimuli, a stimuli that forces the brain to send signals to the target, which causes the target to want to reuse, and retake a/the substance, and Rewarding Stimuli, a stimuli that causes the brain to send signals of pleasure, and desire for a/the substance. Now, normally a power like this wouldn't be able to function, as the stimuli would have no way to get to the hosts body, plus the user would need to have an object, for the victim to get addicted to. Thankfully, the user (Desmond) has found a way to mix the two powers together, to fix this problem. He mixes his addiction manipulation (stimuli) in within' certain products he creates, fusing it within' the DNA, and cause it to give off the needed product, or transportation, to get to the host. Now, the two ways the stimuli could get to the host, are as followed. Oral, the user would have to take the object in through the mouth, via eating, or simply swallowing it, allowing for food, drink, or any kind of edible object to be the carrier of the stimuli. Or, Nasal, the intake through the nose, mainly through inhaling/smelling the product. This leaves it up to a slightly lesser circle of options, mainly smoke, or just scent in general.
Now when we talk about the consumption, and the transportation of the stimuli to the host, there are a few things that have to be addressed, that somewhat limit, or hinder the effects, and usefulness of these methods. Let's start off with taste, now theoretically this is the easiest, and seemingly most opportune, being that edible objects are very plentiful with most food and drinks. The only downside to this really though, is size. While the ability would be transmitted over via the consummation of the object, the effects could be rather limited due to what was eaten/drank. For example, if he were to mix the object within' some dust, and place it within'a drink, or over some food, he'd have to make sure the person ate, or drank all of it, otherwise the effects could be broken up, or not as strong. Another thing is, he can't exactly make certain food products, or free forming water, as the target for creation has to be inanimate, and inorganic. Now, certain plants, and mixture don't fall under this rule, as they are normally destroyed, or broken down into other such mixtures, but he couldn't bring a plant into existence and expect it to stay growing and breathing, his power, in creation, is limited there, leaving alot of objects to be mixed with, limited as well.
With the scent based aspect there's abit of a change. While it doesn't find itself as limited as the other option, and allows for stronger, and longer lasting hits of addiction, sense the gas is more open, and empty, allowing for easy replacement of the addictive stimuli within' the vacant spots, a big problem does come up. That problem would be location, as in the location of where the gas, smoke, smell, ect, was released at. If released in an open, spacious area, the gas or smoke or scent, wouldn't be able to be as direct or effective. For example, if one were to let a piece of paper on fire, a piece of paper that had this stimuli in it, and had the smoke from it waft around, the person who would have set the fire could be effected by the scent, and intake of the now smoke version of the stimuli, but depending on the area, and location, the effect could be limited, thanks to the expansive space drifting the smoke away from the target, also it could be avoided all together if moved to far away from the target, leaving it impossible for them to be effected, but if used in a room, or closed off space, the smoke would have more chance to linger, along with the smell, causing for a higher chance of effect.
There is one last weakness that comes from this power, and that is when the stimuli does actually get into the host, and the addiction does take over the targets mind, there is a slight drawback that he can't for see. The targets will all have different sets of Will's, and restraints that there able to use, based on past experiences, powers, or overall ability. With this said, it is impossible for the user to map out a single effect or experience, he could set it based off of levels of addiction, and stimuli, but the results will always be sporadic.
Peak Human Intellect (Minor) - This power allows for one to reach the highest level of human intelligence available to achieve within' the human brain. This allows user to store, retrain, and learn vast amounts of information, and topics, while also allowing for easier, and more efficient learning. Desmond, however, like most users, have used this ability to focus on more specific fields of knowledge, instead of the broader spectrum. He sacrificed the other fields of knowledge, in order to focus on only two, or at least, gave more attention to these two fields, Chemistry, and Psychology. With these he's able to do basic chemical mixing of Atoms, and Elements within' his creation, to help make more stronger, and credible objects. His Psychology study's, however, have left him open, and observant to the human mind, and how it works. Using this, he's able to get an understanding of how his powers are effecting others, and what he needs to add, or remove to get the best results, while being able to tell if someone doesn't exactly seem right, through his various..Deals.
