Sniffling sounds echoed around the the forest. How could a day so beautiful make her feel so lousy? Rinka was currently all by her lonesome in the forest crying softly under a large tree. Usually she dreaded being all alone, but she was feeling really bad after what had happened in the auditorium. She'd paralyzed a poor boy named Drew just because she had freaked out over a little kiss on the cheek. Then, her and her cowardly self had dashed out without any explanation nor did she take just a little time to grab her shoes and cloths. Not that she didn't currently have on anything, she did, they just weren't hers- they were a tiger costume from the theater place.

Not wanting to bother all the people having a good time in the courtyard with her guilty expression she had quickly ran outside, pulling the large hood down to cover most of her face. There were probably more than a few odd glances cast at the strangely dressed girl, but she paid them no mind while rushing into the dorm room first to grab her diary then back outside into the wooded area. Rinka would have stayed in her room, but thought that the relaxing setting outside would help calm her down.

For the most part it did. Under the shade of the great tree she felt comforted and began writing in her new diary. The grass felt soft underneath her, though she was sure the bottom of her socks would have green stains on them since she'd forgotten her shoes. The loose cloths were also pretty nice. Even if the pants were far too long and had tripped her multiple times on her way over here -three times in the courtyard and about five more once in the forest- she loved their orangeness and black stripes as much as its matching sweatshirt.. or was it a hoodie since it had a good? .. either way she liked the costume though she hoped she wouldn't get into too much trouble for taking it out without permission.

Suddenly aware of someone leaning over her Rinka looked up startled, closing her diary without finishing the last sentences. Had they been calling or talking to her while she was off in her own little world writing her sorrows away? Somewhere along the lines she had started crying again while reliving the moment when she'd fled from Drew.

Melody pranced happily through the thick forest calling out the cutie she had met in the lounge. Although she found no point in calling when she couldn't find him at all! "It's not worth it..." She grumbled unhappily as she trudged onwards. Eventually she came across a weird looking tiger sitting down like a human. Wait. It was a human. Melody once again had had one of her dummy moments.

She crept up behind the tiger to see a diary in it's lap. She was curious and started reading, over the tiger's shoulder. She was getting a good view, but it was such a sad entry. She sighed lightly as she saw how depressed this tiger was. Then as the tiger slapped the diary shut and looked at her she jumped.

Hey! The tiger was a girl! She looked at the girl oddly, feeling bad for her boring and sad entry in the diary. "Hey! Who's Drew? Why are you writing such a depressing entry? Don't you wanna go back to your friend? Why are you in a tiger suit?" Mel asked as she started her rampant of the usual 20 questions she always had. She was curious as to why this girl wasn't with this Drew guy especially. She frowned at the girl oddly.

Oh! Good it was just another girl. A rather young look one too, she was even shorter than Rinka by the looks of things. Then again she of all people should be judging on height. The girl was super cute though, her green eyes going well with the short blond locks. From her point of view the background was also the green leaves from the tree above, it would have made an amazing picture. Seeing as she wasn't very tall nor a boy Rinka wasn't nearly as intimidated by her sudden appearance and breathed a sigh of relief. That is.. until she realized the girl had read her newest entry.

Shocked, Rinka stood up too quickly, tripping over her pants and flinging her diary out of her hands. She scurried over to gather it back into her arms and to back away from the girl. It was very rude to read someones personal thoughts and yet it didn't seem to bother the girl one bit! She even flung questions at her about the contents of the Diary!!! It'd be really rude not to answer her as well though wouldn't it?

Conflicted about what to do she traced the little tiger on the cover. After awhile she decided to at least answer some of the girl's questions once she reprimanded the girl. "H-he's someone I met in the school, he was super shy but sweet and I'm not sure if he'd still want to be friends with me.." Rinka considered telling her about her being a tigress, but thought the girl might try and make her take it back to the theater. Of course she'd give it back... eventually.. but not right now. "I'm Rinka by the way."

"I'm Melody. Call me Mel if you want though." She smiled sweetly at the other girl called Rinka. "Wait. You don't think he'll be your friend anymore? Well did you give him a chance to talk with you after you ran?" Melody asked curiously. She wanted to see if she could help the girl, who was of course taller than her. Even so, it didn't matter what height one was, just how much they cared for their friends.

"If he was so sweet, then he should probably be mire than willing to understand you. I didn't think I was liked once, but the boy soon apologized and I to him." She told Rinka, remembering an old encounter with a sweetie named Ren after getting lost in these exact woods one day.

"I think you should go back to this Drew guy. You never know if he really will hate you or not if you don't find out." She told the girl. "I am pretty sure you two were doing something fun if you are out here dressed like a tiger." Mel pointed out. She nodded in self approval at her own thought. "You really should think about going back to him to make up though." Mel advised.

Melody? Like songs and things? What a pretty name, the way her smile lit up her face also brought out her cuteness. Rinka was sort of jealous, her name didn't sound that cute, more like one of the phrases from the Aristocats where they go 'and a Rinki tinki tinki' Yeap, that was her, Rinki. "I like Melody, it's really cute." She wouldn't change her name even if she could though, her parents had given it to her and she'd love it simply because it was from them.

Rinka grew steadily redder as Melody started talking some sense into her. The girl whom she'd just recently met, the very one who'd read her personal diary without asking, was actually being pretty helpful and kind. Not to mention sharing her own experiences with the situation with a complete and utter stranger.

"I.. I suppose y-you're right.." she stuttered, still embarrassed that she had indeed run off without giving Drew a proper apology for pushing him away and paralyzing him for who knew how long. The boy was really nice though right? Right! So he would most defiantly forgive her.. maybe.. hopefully.. one day... Standing up from her seat on the ground, Rinka smiled sweetly at Melody and held her hand out to the girl. "Yes, you're definitely right, I'll apologize the next time I see him, thank you!"

Melody smiled at Rinka's willingness to go find Drew again and make up. "That's the spirit! Just give it a bit of time. If you ran though, then he probably will be expecting to apologize first. So give him a bit to do so. Boys can be quite slow." She said cheerfully as she pulled off a goofy smile. She partially stuck out her tongue, and closed one eye with a light smile. She made some kind of more so stupid sound to make it even more worthwhile.

"I am pretty sure he was trying for good intentions if he did something." She said. Mel was happy with helping people out with relationship or friend advice. In truth she was actually quite good at it. "Just wondering though. Do you like him at all? I mean like like that is? It sounds like you two have had some very perfect quality time." Melody figured. She giggled lightly and shook Rinka's hand before darting off after a little bunny.

Melody was so bright and cheerful! Rinka was already considering the girl a good person and a potential second friend, she only hoped the girl felt a little bit the same way. She couldn't help but be drawn into the girl's enthusiasm. "Right! Give him a chance, second chances are good, I can do that!" nodding along, she hardly realized she had been swept away. She was the one suppose to be apologizing not him. Ah well, it worked out both ways.

Going along with Melody's happy mood, Rinka nodded in agreement all the way until the girl asked if she like liked the boy. At that she froze, the only word going through her head a repeating, 'Whaaaaaaa-t?' as she mechanically shook hands. The only moment she had when she finally snapped out of it was when the girl was running away all of a sudden, but that chance slipped by as well when the only thing to come out of her mouth was the soft spoken word Drew had said to her earlier, "Friends.."

Watching the girl bound away as abruptly as she had arrived, Rinka sat back down with her diary to put more into it about this strange new development. It wasn't such a large school, she'd run into Drew again later, but for now she would spend the rest of today enjoying the beauty of today alone yet aware of silly fairy-like girls running around helping people.
