Feeling Bridget adjust herself again, Zane couldn't help but wonder if he were a bit uncomfortable to lean against. She'd come back though and seemed happy, so he could take a slight pleasure in the fact that he was more comfortable than a tree.. if that was any consolation. Despite recently taken a dip in the cold water, she was warm and comforting with both the proximity and emotions. Curiosity tended to be on the warmer side of his emotional scale since it tended to deal with wanting to know more about the other person.
Though he drew his silver gaze towards the sound of Bridget's voice, it took a moment for him to decide to face her again, color or no color against his skin. "I suppose you're right since it's just you again." The way that was phrased seemed rude even as he heard it so he tried to amend hastily, "That is, not that you're special.. I-in a bad way, not special in a bad way. Or a good way.. um, well maybe in a good way, but not.. aah.." Zane resisted rolling his eyes at his own stupidity, he was just digging his own grave at this point. "It's just that we're.. alone." Why couldn't he have thought of that last part first? Karma, that had to be it. 'Lords of all that is Karma I apologize for whatever I did...' he thought as he sighed, at least in the end it turned out how he wanted it to.
Was that the hint of a whine Zane had detected in Bridget's voice? No, not her, he must be hearing things. Then again his ears had never lied before so it must have been. Grinning, he cocked his head to the side to lean against hers. "It's not my fault I was moved to France." Actually, it hadn't even been his owns family's fault for the sudden movement. "I might be able to possibly teach you a little bit of the romantic language if you want. Never free of course, equivalent exchange and all that." Zane didn't really have any monetary interest, but perhaps at least coming to the water's edge would be enough. Without much clothing to hold in the water he was starting to get warm as the liquid ran off his skin and evaporated.
Hmm.. Zane wasn't sensitive about people mentioning his blindness, not like he could be 100% sure he would have been born without it if the car crash hadn't occurred, he wasn't sure what caused it but it was apart of him and nothing could change that so why dwell on it. Still. Hearing her thoughtful hesitance with the subject was nice. "Nah, it's not stupid. There are things that do give me trouble." The way Bridget had said it with the language barrier though, he got the feeling she was meaning issues with something specific. "Unless of course you meant something more personal like how I can't see any cute outfits you wear to try and seduce me." Zane couldn't bring himself to be sarcastic with that remark. He actually really wanted to know if that's what she'd meant.
