Fighting with No One [OPEN]

Claw squeezed her eyes shut and opened them, shaking her head. She growled, and did it again. This thing was her prey, her enemy. She had to demolish it, to kill it, to wipe it off the face of the earth. It was real, it was alive and it had done something to hurt her. She hissed and growled, she had to make the first move. She tail whipped around, leaning over, digging her claws into the ground, getting ready to pounce. Her eyes gleamed red and her pupils narrowed into slits. Her tail lashed back and forth and she crouched down even lower. She hissed again, and leaped towards it, using her claws to propel herself forwards, digging them deeper into the floor and releasing them at just the right moment.

She dug her claws deep into the wood, placing her feet on its shoulders, claws dug into its head. Using her body as force, she twirled around to the back of it, dragging her claws across its face. She jumped down and dragged her claws down its back with her. She slashed her claws across its back and jumped around to the front of it, then slashed her claws across its front. She jumped over it, flipping around in midair until she was upside down and dug her claws into its head, using them to pull her feet towards it and kicked at the middle of it. The force of her kick split it in half, which was a little more force then she expected, but she managed to land on her feet, skidding across the floor. All of this taking place with less than five seconds.

She growled and hit the ripped up piece of wood against the wall of the cave to shake it off her claws. It just about smashed to pieces when it, sending little bits of wood flying around everywhere. She closed her eyes and shielded her face with her hands. Claw growled and kicked the other chunk wood against the wall in frustration. This one didn’t break so easily, but it spilt in half where her foot connected with the wood. She sighed and sat down, putting her chin in her hands. This would never do, she needed an actual person to fight, an actual challenge. A stupid piece of wood wouldn’t try to dodge or weave; it wouldn’t try to counter attack. It just stands there and lets her rip it to shreds. She needed a person to fight.

She did get the chance to fight some people on her way out here though. She had taken this wooden dummy from the gym, she wanted somewhere more quite to fight, more peaceful, so she could concentrate. But the few people she fought didn’t try very hard, or fight for very long. They mostly just backed off the first time she got her claws on them. She smirked as she remembered the looks on people’s faces when they saw her, carrying a big wooden dummy around, with a little blood on her claws. She must have looked really weird, but she didn’t care, it just amused her. People are so funny. She hoped someone had told a prefect or something about her. She needed a fight, and they could bring her one. She grinned with anticipation, her eyes turning red again at the thought. They were coming, so she would wait.

Lily gulped down hard as she peered around the corner and looked inside. Why was she doing this? She should be back at the school, studying, or practicing her powers or a million other reasons to not be here. She could turn back right now. That's what she'd do. She'd go straight back to the nurse's office and hide under a couple of covers. That would be easy to do. It's what she should do. Lily pushed her glasses closer to her face.

But it wouldn't be the right thing to do.

Lily had always been the courageous sort of person. She never backed down and she never gave up. It was a habit that also got her regularly in trouble, but she liked it about herself. She was often at the nurse's office so it was not odd for her to hear about the fighting that happened regularly. But this one particular incident caught her attention. Someone or thing attacked the gymnasium's stock of training dummies. The students tried to halt her but ended up in Lily's care. She was a healer after all. But the attacks had been a bit reckless. She would not have someone carelessly running around hurting people for a crappy piece of wood.

So she followed the rumors and then the girl out here. She was small. Young. Much younger than Lily was. But that didn't mean the small black haired girl wasn't dangerous. Lily had seen the damage she could cause and she was right to have a pang of fear. Watching the girl tear at the dummy was doing more to her nerves than Lily had expected. But when fear gripped her hardest, Lily always rose to the challenge. She gulped one more time, a bead of nervous sweat rand down the side of her face and she sighed.

She stepped out of hiding and walked full force at the girl glaring. "Hey! Y-You can't just do that!" she screamed awkwardly. Of course, she was now in near panic and was being hard pressed to suppress her abilities. She didn't want to hurt the girl; tell her off then leave. That was the plan. Lily hoped that the plan would stick. :You are hurting people! That's... umm... That's not nice! You should be apologizing..." her voice trailed off. It sounded stupid now that she had said it.

Claw jumped up on her feet the instant she heard the person walking towards her. She was so pumped; she was ready to fight anybody. She was always ready to fight anybody. She was a little disappointed when she got a good look at the person. She seemed small, weak, frail. She could smell the fear emanating off of her, it was so pungent she could practically taste it. This person didn’t seem like she would be much of a challenge, but it would do. She smiled as she realized she was beginning to think of her as an “it”. She usually started to do this kind of thing when she was getting into a fight, so she knew there would be one. Her instincts had never been wrong.

She laughed when she heard the girls’ words. Its words were seemed as weak as it was. It seemed like it barely made an effort. “I can ‘just do that’; I can do whatever I want.” She hissed, eyes glowing red. Her tail whipped around back and forth like crazy. She laid her ears back and grinned, baring her teeth. She was bent over slightly, ready to attack at any moment. She unsheathed her claws and held them in front of her like she was about she was about to dig them in the ground like she had before. She knew this fight probably wouldn’t be much, but she didn’t know what this girl could do yet; for all she knew it might be able to disintegrate her with the flick of her wrist, but she doubted that very much.

“Those people tried to get in my way.” She said with a smiled “They tried to restrict me, but I won’t be restricted, I won’t be stopped, and I’m guessing that’s what you’re here to do, isn’t it?” She snarled and growled, grinning the entire time. “So are you gonna lecture me about it or can we just skip the boring lecture and just start fight?” She leaned all the way over and dug her claws into the ground like she had before. She wasn’t planning to do the same thing she did with the dummy, that would be to obvious and too easy to avoid, but she wanted it to appear she was going to do that so it would be completely unprepared when she started to attack.

Lily blinked at what she was actually looking at tilting her head a little bit. It was a girl... but not exactly a girl. She had a tail... she had red eyes... she had a lot of things that set her off from being a "girl." She shook her head throwing off the sudden awe with another pang of fear. But she still held her abilities at bay. Only if the 'thing' attacked her would she release her restraint. She was not going to fight just for a misunderstanding of some sort.

But it was a cat!

Well, not exactly a cat. It was much bigger than a cat. And it could talk. And it looked somewhat like a person. So there were people who could look like animals too. Cute. Except not cute, because Lily saw her claws, heard the venom in her voice and knew this was anything but cute. Lily did not like fighting. She wasn't exactly physically strong or mentally adept. She didn't have a bunch of talents like strength or speed. She hated gym back in her old school, and she hated gym here too. She wished sometimes that her powers were more of a physical trait, but it was only a wish.

She had better. She had much better.

So, while the cat-person-thing spoke, Lily closed her eyes and relaxed. She let go of the block on her emotions and the hold over her own powers. What did she feel? Anger towards the girl for hurting people for no reason other than just wanting to fight. Fear because if Lily didn't stop her, she could get hurt or worse. But most importantly, relaxed. If she relaxed, her own powers would do the work.

"I don't want to fight, and you are right, I don't really need a big speech," a smile turned up on her face. This was first time Lily really used her powers like this. They were in an enclosed space. She walked forward to her opponent, all three emotions shifting her neurotoxin into a different substance. Pain and paralysis awaited if the girl lunged. And if she didn't the cave would be full of the invisible gas soon. "If you don't want to get hurt I suggest you give up."

Claw grinned and tensed her muscles when she saw the girl close her eyes. She knew that it was going to do something. In her opinion, it was being a little too obvious with its attack, but that might just be her. She had learned to notice little things people did when they used their powers since she had come here. This was some of them, looking at something besides their target was another, something they were going to control, there were some more, but those were the most common. She knew once someone showed one of those signs, she had to act fast. She didn’t know what this girl could do yet, but she knew that she could probably outrun it, or at least most of it. She didn’t really want to kill it, she wasn’t that bad of a person, she just wanted to let in know she was in charge.

She lunged towards the girl as fast as she could, faster than any normal human being could see. As she was jumping she could smell something knew in the air, something dangerous and toxic. She started to feel pain and she started to have trouble moving. She only jumped into the air a couple inches above the ground, and was aiming towards the girl’s feet, trying to unbalance it. She slashed her claws at its ankles, going to move it backwards behind her and make her fall down. Hopefully it would hurt it and upset her enough to make let it know who the better fighter here was. She struggled slightly to move her body enough to aim, but she managed, and the momentum from the jump helped a lot.

She landed behind the girl kind of awkwardly, sliding across the ground; managing to dig one of her claws in the ground to turn around in face her. She laughed, growling and snarling. “Give up? I’m not going to give up, especially to someone like you.” She almost struggled to say this, and her whole body was in pain, but her pain gave her strength, and her bloodlust gave her even more. She fought to move against her paralysis, if the girl tried anything again, she thought she would be able to lunge towards it again and bite it. She probably wouldn’t be able to slash her claws towards her, but she thought she would be able to bite it.
