Basics
Name: Calista Leila Rosa
Nicknames: Cali, Rose
Age: 17
Birthday: July 10
Grade: 12th
Power: Darkness Manipulation - Cali can control darkness. Ever since Pitch Black, her powers have become strengthened. She no longer has to be touching the shadows in order to solidify them. However, her concentration must remain absolute. Distractions can cause it to fall apart. Emotional instability also leads to the failure of larger constructs
The larger the construct, the harder it is to hold. She can form a wide array of weapons and objects as well as shield others from attacks. Constructs must be objects and she can't form small details or mechanized objects (such as guns). She can create domes of darkness to encase people in pure darkness and cast darkness over a small area, however the act is highly exhausting, as Calista has to continuously feed it more shadows to keep out light. The distance from herself also makes it more difficult to keep solid, the effects becoming weaker with time, at 10 meters in any direction, the shadows are no longer under her control.
She can also use shadows to conceal herself. Her powers do not work in complete light and shining light in her face can cause her powers to falter.
Poison Manipulation - Calista's poison manipulation allows her to create poison, most often this is used through touch. The longer the touch, the higher the dosage. Her poison is lethal in high amounts, small amounts cause a slowly growing weakness in the person and pain that increases the longer the poison is in the body. However, depending on the dosage, the effects can fade, albeit it will get worse before it gets better
While Calista can remove poison from others and survive from it. Calista isn't truly immune to poison, her body processes it faster than must and had a high resistance to it. Meaning that her chances of survival are twice that amount of a normal person, but she can still feel its effects, depending on the amount of poison. High amounts of poison will cause her go get sick, its normally quick but painful and it exhausts her.
Enhanced Agility - Calista's agility is better than the normal person, enhanced by her dancer like figure and natural grace. This agility allows her to move with better reflexes
Member Group: Battle Front
Canon or not: Canon, Battle Front Leader
Appearance: Calista possesses a dark beauty to her, looks that have been compared to a raven. Calista has sleek, dark hair. Its thick and lustrous, its length reaching down to her waist. Its naturally straight and almost always kept loose, falling down her back. Calista also possesses side-swept bangs that constantly fall into her eyes.
Calista's face is thin with a small nose, a youthful face that once appeared to hold a small amount of innocence, but no longer does and instead has an odd harshness to it. Evidence of years of hardship. Calista's eyes are sharp piercing, and a deep, dark blue color, that appears black more often than not. They're framed by heavy, dark lashes and always have a certain shinmer to them, as if they hold secrets you will never know. They're tightly guarded and normally give off a frigid stare. However, when she lets her guard down they become immensely expressive and can portray a wide range of emotions.
Calista stands at 5'4". she has long legs that seem like they go on forever and a thin, lithe frame. With the body of a dancer, Calista doesn't have very much fat on her body, her chest remaining slightly smaller than average. She radiates a certain grace, displayed in her walk and movements, almost like a living shadow. However, when angered, her movements change drastically becoming more sudden and aggravated.
Calists normally wears her school uniform, like mosts, however, outside of uniform, she opts for clothes that are dark and elegant, with a slight edge to them. She loves boots, long flowing dresses, leather jackets, maxi skirts and things that do not restrain movement.

Weaknesses:
Goals:
* make the world a better place
* create equality for gifted
* free the students of Ashford
* dance the dual role of the black/white swan in Swan Lake.
Overall Personality: Calista is frigid and calm on the outside. She has a dark, deadly elegance to her and gives off a strong vibe of authority. She constantly wears a mask of seriousness as her default and can appear to be nothing except calculated and confident. Although Calista has a temper, she has mostly learned to reign it in, instead directing her anger towards training, evidenced by the endless line of destroyed punching bags in the west tower. She no longer bothers to waste her time getting angry, instead, her anger is a form of deadly silence and you never know if she's plotting your death. The only time she snaps is when her loved ones are threatened.
Calista is immensely passionate about the battlefront, which she cares about like her family. She's bold and believes in her morals and ideals completely. Her involvement with the battlefront is no longer a fact that she tries to keep hidden. She's stubborn in the way that she will not give up on anything, or anyone. Despite everything she's been though, in truth, she still has hope in people. She is more than willing to throw herself in the line of fire if it means protecting someone else, which is both a strength and a weakness.
She, however, is not naive, she knows the dangers and fully accepts the fact that she could die at any moment, but refuses to let it happen. She wants to make her mark on the world and fulfill her mission, no longer just for her sake, but for all of those who have fallen before her.
Her fatal flaw is her idealism. Although this pushes her to be completely motivated, it often causes her to be naive and struggle with difficult decisions where sacrifice is needed. She detests unnecessary blood shed.
Calista often has momentary lapses of sanity. When she's pushed enough, her entire personality seems to grow darker. Although she has control of this now, she no longer denies it's existence, and is now able to pull herself out of it, most of the time. As her dark powers increase, she occassionally

History
Family Members/guardians: Seth Rosa - older brother, age 18
Sebastian Rosa - father, age 46
Penelope Rosa - mother, age 44
History: Born in Washington DC, Calista was the second child of Sebastian and Penelope Rosa. Her parents were both government agents, specializing in the issue of the gifted and members of the Ashford Project. They were hard working and fine parents at first albeit often gone on assignments until Seth and later Calista hit their teen years. Seth, at age 13, first awoke to discover his powers. It's easy to say that their parents were shocked. If that wasn't enough, Calista discovered hers a year later.
Their parents were both devastated and disgusted. They tried everything to try and get rid of their childrens 'defects' including drugs, experiments, everything. But, to no avail. They both grew to resent their own children, describing them as monsters and as Cali got older, she began to look to her brother as her only family. When Sebastian and Penelope discovered that this problem couldn't be fixed, they began training the two, hoping to instill the two of them into the newly created prefect program at AShford.
Both became powerful weapons. Calista was talented in her own right but Seth...Seth was a prodigy. He did everything perfectly, whether it was in battle or strategy. Their parents even started to show affection to him once again. If they couldn't get rid of their children's so called deformities, they would use them to their advantage.
Soon, the siblings were sent to Ashford to take up their ranks in the Prefects. Calista hated it. She was the most reluctant to do anything for them while her brother quickly climbed the ranks. One night, during her rounds, Calista wandered into the West Tower. She was about to be killed due to her prefect status when the battlefront leader stood up for her. He said he saw something in her and decided to take her under his wing as his trainee The Battle Front used her still standing position as a prefect as a advantage. In short...Calista becae,e a spy.
Calista soon encountered The Miasma on her rounds and during this, she was brainwashed by him and forced to kidnap other students. She was mentally and physically assaulted by the crazed gifted man while he forced her to go along with his plans. By forcing his corruptive gas into her system, he was able to draw out her worst qualities and use them. This is what lead Calista to meet Bridget Shine, when Bridget defended herself and Zane from Calista's wrath.
During the battle with the Miasma, Calista was rescued by the Battlefront Leader, Zero and swept away from the battle. He held her until the effects of the Miasma's corruption had dissipated from her system. What was unknown was that this corruption was not gone, but instead had laid dormant within Calista, feeding on the darkness, anger, guilt, and anguish that was growing inside the youngest Rosa.
Following the Miasma, Calista's fear and guilt at her actions grew to where she couldn't face her elder brother any longer and began abandoning her duties as a prefect in favor of remaining within the West Tower.
During one night, Seth's girlfriend and unofficial second in command had wandered into the West Tower, unknowing that it was Calista's presence that filled the quiet corridors. Upon seeing Meredith, Calista tried to get her to leave, being backed up by Chandler Fernandez. Battle soon erupted as reinforcements arrived in the forms of Gwen on the prefect side, as well as the newly recruited Bridget Shine and Ashton Kay. Eventually, Seth himself then appeared. During the fight, Meredith was revealed to be pregnant. The corruption within Calista activated during the emotional confusion at the revelation. With Chandler holding Meredith, Calista stabbed her through the stomach using a poisoned blade.
Calista's identity was then revealed by Seth Rosa, her life as a spy coming to an end.
As the battle ended, Calista recovered from a powerful blast from her own brother, however her guilt at killing her unborn niece or nephew continued to grow. Calista felt her entire world coming to an end as her only family no longer wanted anything to do with her and feeling as if she was expendable to the battlefront with her identity revealed. Calista resolved to take her own life. Stealing one of Seth's daggers, she locked herself in her room and stabbed herself through the stomach with the intention to let herself bleed out.
Her attempt was quickly prevented by Meredith, who was in the tower to seek revenge against her baby's killer. Finding Calista, Meredith prevented the damage from growing worse and carried Calista to the nurse's office where the two formed a sister like relationship.
However, following this incident, Seth Rosa went missing, as well as Lelouch. The two most important figures in Calista's life were gone and with Calista's identity revealed, the government would surely be coming for her. Her final breaking point was the death of Chandler Fernandez after he defended the West Tower with his life.
It was soon after this that a black ops team from the Ashford program descended onto the island with orders to capture Calista Rosa, however, this team had its own hidden agenda : eliminate the Gifted. In an attempt at genocide, war broke out. It was here that Prefects managed to keep back the government forces with assistance from multiple students.
However, meanwhile, Calista had reached her breaking point. The Miasma overwhelmed her, bringing out a side of her she kept buried inside. The Angel of Death. Calista had the intention to kill the students and the government agents with a poison gas, as she believed death was a better, more humane fate than the one that awaited them at Ashford.
Calista was eventually stopped through a combined effort of a resurrected Chandler Fernandez, Bridget Shine, and others.
After, Calista and the school began to recover, however, the incident left many loose ends in regards to the government. Calista, finally took up the mantle as the Battlefront leader.
Behind the Character
Name:The almighty QueenKayla
RP Experience: 3 years
How did you find us: I'm the all powerful sorceress who created this wonderful realm.
Sample: Calista's dark eyes scanned her surroundings. Everything was a lie. SHE was a lie.she walked amongst the prefects in perfect sync, she looked like one of them. But she was far from it. She could feel the stares of pure hatred directed at her, at all of them. Suddenly there was a squeal. Her head turned forward to see a girl on the ground, obviously having been knocked down by the ravenette
"you're in our way" Calista stated, her cold eyes glaring at the girls form. She didn't move, probably out of fear. "what? Are you deaf or maybe mentally incapable? I repeat you're in our way" she snapped at the girl. The girl shook her head muttering a hasty apology before scurrying off. Sorry.....but it was for her own good. One of the other girls would have attacked. Calista narrowed her eyes and continued on.
"they're so sad...the government will fix them soon enough" how stupid... calista turned to face the prefect girl beside her. "yeah completely pathetic" she said with a smirk. Yet weren't pathetic though.....they (the prefects) were
