Wandering Aimlessly (Alexandria/Seth)

Misaki let out a quiet sigh as she walked quietly along the beach, once again with no real goal in mind. It had been a few days since she had arrived here, and she was more or less getting used to her new home. There was still not a whole lot she's done though. She's mostly been focusing on getting settled in, and she needed a break from everything. Thus, after a bit of wandering aimlessly, she found herself on the beach. It was nice and peaceful out here.

Unfortunately, she had not quite heard about the apparent kidnappings that may or may not be taking place here. Otherwise she would have avoided the area like the plague. The poor girl was socially awkward enough as it was...the last thing she needed was for someone to come out of nowhere and attack her. Alas, she was blissfully unaware of what had been going on. It's just a normal beach, right? So what could possibly go wrong?

Alex was feeling energetic. No, scratch that, she was feeling wired. Today seemed to have granted her excess amounts of energy, and taking advantage of that very thing, the girl was skating across the water. But, random strangers would cry out, don't you mean ice skating? No one can stand on water! Well, no, that wasn't true. Why? Well Alex was awesome like that, capable of god-like feats without much thought given to the actions.

So currently, the girl was skimming along the water's surface, having increased the tension enough to allow it to support her weight. Every now and then when a big wave came along, she would use it as a wall and do flips, or high jumps, or whatever else struck her fancy with wild abandon. Without her brother to divert her attention, she was even able to increase her own speed, and obtain truly high jumps that left her with quite a thrill, and adrenaline pumping through her system.

Of course, she was still being observant of the shore off to the distance, wary of Prefect interference. Rumors were going around about two prefects that seemed to be attacking random students for no reason, and the heart pounding exhilaration that Alex was going through at the moment wasn't enough of a reason to be caught flat-footed by such an opposition. Thus she managed to catch sight of another person on the shore, and decided to come in with crashing fury, created a massive wave that slammed down close to the other.

Hopping from her watery transportation, Alex grinned at the other. "Hey~! What're you doing out here?"

Yoshino blinked as she noticed someone...skating on the water? She could scarcely believe what she was seeing. However, all she had to do was remind herself that she was at a school full of people who had strange powers, and, suddenly, it didn't seem all that abnormal. It was still a sight to behold, of course, but she was fairly certain that she would see weirder things happen during her stay at the academy. Not that she was anywhere close to getting used to this fact, but she was at least at the point where she could more or less accept it.

Either way, when the water suddenly started coming closer, she quickly jumped back, narrowly avoiding getting splashed. As annoyed as she was about this, she chose not to say anything...if only because she lacked the backbone to actually confront her about it. Either way, once the other girl appeared before her and started speaking, Misaki let out a mental sigh. Another energetic one. It was just like earlier, when she met and (more or less) befriended Melody. It wasn't that she didn't like her, but the cheerful personality was a bit overwhelming for the reserved and slightly timid girl.

Still, she didn't want to be rude and ignore her, so she answered her question regardless of how nervous she was "I...I'm not doing anything...really. I-I was just walking a-around...a-and I found m-myself here..." She let out sigh in a futile attempt to calm her nerves...this was hard for her. It wasn't that she disliked the attention. On the contrary, she liked it quite a lot. However, she wasn't used to talking to others...especially when they were this forward.

Alex paused for a second, taking in the subservient cues that the girl gave off after she asked her questions. It was slightly annoying to watch as another person seemed to draw into their shell so quickly, but nothing would ever be gained without perseverance. She hummed to herself, playing with the thoughts of dragging the girl onto water, and holding her ransom until the girl revealed her life story, and swore to be best friends forever with Alex. Alex did need a best friend forever anyways, at least, one that wasn't her brother. Of course, people tended to be against such actions, unless she was capable enough of causing Stockholm Syndrome in the girl, but that seemed a bit far to just get a friend, even if it was a BFF~!

When the girl spoke up, Alex's mind quickly snapped to the other, focusing on Yoshino's face as she spoke, paying attention to every minute twitch and tell that the girl gave away. It didn't make much sense to Alex, but if they ever kept on talking, Alex would eventually map out and correspond those tells to emotions. A small frown appeared on Alex's face, as she took in the others words along with her actions, before letting out a futile sigh.

Taking a small step back, to give the other girl more room, as discomfort was more than obvious by the girl's actions, Alex gave her back some personal space, before extending out her hand into the other's bubble. "Hi, I'm Alex, and are you aware that there's suppose to be kidnappers running around here?"

Misaki blinked, noticing the other's apparent disdain over how shy and withdrawn she was. It didn't take her long to figure out what was going on, and she felt compelled to speak up. "I-I...I'm sorry...I just...I-I'm not really used to talking to other people..." She knew she probably wasn't helping any...but, as mentioned above, she was compelled to at least say something. If nothing else, she hoped it would at least somewhat ease some of the awkwardness she was feeling. It didn't, but it never hurts to try.

Either way, she was noticeably surprised when Alex backed away...perhaps she picked up on her discomfort? Regardless, she was appreciative. When she held her hand out, presumably to shake it, she slowly reached for it, as though it was her first time shaking hands and she wasn't quite sure what she was doing...which wasn't far off. Nonetheless, she took the hand, sheepishly shaking it. Then came the kidnapping comment, which she almost didn't notice due to the introduction "I-I'm Yoshino...I...um...it's...n-nice to m-...w-wait...did you say kidnappings? B-but...why would anyone want to kidnap me?"
