Infinite Lines, Intertwined (Bridget)

Today was obviously a day for vices and relaxation. At least that was how Seth was feeling as he sat down at one of the many tables in the student lounge sketching random people as they walked by. In order to get a wider range of people and emotions, he had decided to sit in the lounge that all the students used, rather than the Prefect lounge.

Of course, despite that, his drawings mostly centered on the people he had interacted with quite recently, two pictures of Lilith, three of Calista, a picture of Darrian, and a picture of a soaked Ameila laying on someone's lap. For some reason, that was the way he tried to remember the girl. Docile and a little out of it, it was much better than seeing the little spitfire that had caused him so much stress through the week instead.

Shaking his head, Seth continued drawing pictures, before pausing as he caught sight of a girl wearing a hat in the student lounge. His hand went up to touch at his arm, where usually the Prefect badge would be, but, having decided to take a break today, he only felt the cotton sleeve of his shirt. He let out a small sigh, and decided to draw the girl, instead of bothering her about her lack of respect for the dress code.

If she bothered to notice, the girl would probably be surprised to see Seth continuously looking in her direction, looking over her body. He smiled to himself, watching as the drawing slowly started to match what his eyes saw from the few basic lines it had started out as, before taking another glance at the girl.

Not having any work was a great feeling. The feeling that you could actually do something you want and not have your nose buried in the workbooks. But then something else caused a problem. Boredom. Horrible thing that way and Bridget just wasn’t happy fixing up her room. So she pulled on a hat and went out the door. Fallowing the halls she tried to find someone to talk to or at least something to do. Finding nothing she went back to her dorm picked up a book and went back out. She then came to the student lounge found a seat and cracked open her story.

So she ended up doing the one thing she didn’t just to escape boredom. Surprisingly she got into the book. That was until she felt someone eye’s on her back. Picking her head up out of the book she looked over to her left. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business. A few girls chatting and a guy drawing. Not seeing anyone looking at her she went back to reading. Until she had that same feeling again… and again. At first Bridget ignored it but now it was getting on her nerves slightly. Sighing she looked over her shoulder again and saw the boy looking at her.

Snapping the book closed she turned full around locking his gaze. Had he really just been checking her out? Bridget got a little miffed until she noticed all the drawing. He had been drawing her… now this she had to see. “Are you close to being done?” She asked tilting her head slightly. Bridget walked over and sat across from him eyes looking over the drawing. Jokingly she said, “Do you usually draw random girls or is this new?” But she was pleasantly surprised that the drawing was done really well, at least to her it was.

Seth had taken a longer glance for a moment. Eyes were tricky, especially when he hadn't gotten a good glimpse of them yet, so his eyes had stayed on the girl until she had turned around again, before he smirked to himself as she finally turned around. Sure she seemed a bit surprised, or was that angry, He turned back to his drawing, trying to keep in focus that glint in her eye as she seemed to have believed that he was looking at her for his own pleasures.

Letting out a small chuckle he finally finished the shadings, before his hand twitched at the voice right next to him, causing the charcoal pencil to almost ruin the picture, but he managed just in time to release pressure on the picture, to prevent the pencil from leaving a marking.

He frowned slightly, inspecting the paper for any imaginary marks, before finally looking up at the girl in front of him. Now that he got a closer look at her face, he admitted that he probably should've made the cheeks a bit slimmer, she had more of a heart shaped face, rather than oval. Looking back down at his picture, he frowned, wondering if he should start over, or finish up this one before drawing a more accurate one.

He let out a small sigh, finishing a few shadings before looking back up to the girl, and smiling. Today was a vacation, why not try something Darrian always seemed to find quite fun. "Not really, but beauty should be preserved, don't you think?"

Her breath caught in her throat for a moment as she startled him. Only do to the fact that she didn’t want to ruin the drawing. And not because it was of her either. This kid was really talented, at least in Bridget’s mind. But he had loosened his grip and luckily caused no weird lines. She let out the breath and tilted her head trying to get a really good look at the drawing. Eyes flitting over the paper she smiled and looked back up at him. “Of course it should, beauty is fleeting after all. I always wondered what happened to its amazing beholder.” She replied with a grin.

“What made you draw me though?” She asked placing a hand under her chin questions hanging in her eyes. There was nothing really special about her except maybe her pink hair but he was doing black and white so that didn’t matter. Other than that Bridget wasn’t exactly obeying the dress code. Her white blaze was off, the red dress shirt sleeves rolled up to her elbows and her hat.

Eyes falling back to the drawing she smiled, “It really is good you know. So what's the artist’s name?” Bridget looked back up from the paper. He looked somewhat familiar like she had seen him before but she couldn’t place a name. Wait? Wasn’t he a Prefect? Well now was her chance to see what they were like and just maybe how much fun it was to mess with them. Or she could play it cool and not annoy the crap out of the guy. Good thing Bridget was feeling better now that she was talking to someone for however briefly this may be.

Seth just smiled at the girl's comment, while internally frowning. Usually the reactions that Darrian would get from the same comment would be much more pronounced, whither aggressive or coy, but still more pronounced. He bit on the side of his lip, as his hand swept over the page of the drawing, turning the charcoal into diamonds infused into the grain of the paper.

Usually it was a trick he saved just for his sister, but Seth was feeling unusually kind today, plus it would hopefully help with his next try. After all, Seth Rosa didn't give up on an experiment, just switched to a different post. He smiled as he pushed over the diamond grafted picture of the girl, to said girl, and smiled. "Why'd I draw you?"

Maybe the problem with the approach was that it wasn't Seth like, and didn't match his demeanor, making it hard to tell exactly what he was trying to say. His hand quickly reached out, fingers lightly following the contours of the girl's jawline, before stopping along the girl's hand. Touching her hand lightly, he then placed his back on his drawing pad. He smiled warmly, "What can I say, you were captivating to look at."

Her eyes once again dropped to the paper as he brushed it. At first she was a little confused why he was doing so until she saw the results. If she had been on her own her jaw probably would have dropped as she hasn't see something like that before but her a smile former on her lips and her eyes brightened in delight. "Beautiful, what other tricks can you do?" her tone now taking on one that was more flirty than before. Her hand slid over the drawing a smile still playing on her lips. He really did like it, maybe just make the cheeks a little thinner but nothing she would complain about. 

As he restated the question she nodded looking up and nodded even batting her lashes a few times. She could tell that flirting was an old habit of his. He was more of an newbie or at least it seemed like that. Bridget still gave him points for the crystal trick and the drawing now if he could get out a couple more lines then the first he wouldn't be half bad in this game. Not to mention the look factor. With these lines of thought it was quite a surprise when he reached out and traced her jaw line ad hand before he returning his back to his sketch book. Her lips even formed into a slight 'o'. 

It was safe to say he just stepped up in her book. "Why thank you," she said quietly and looked down like she was slightly embarrassed. Bridget wasn't but she wanted to see how he would respond when his methods started working. How he would react to certain things. It would be more entertaining if she'd play along and flirted back some. "You know I've never had anyone say something like that to me before." she would try to play the more 'im kinda new at this too' card but she wast sure how that was going to work out. "And I never thought I'd hear it come out of someone so talented and well cute as you."

Seth noticed that the girl held back her reaction, upon seeing the diamond paper. Now wasn't that interesting, he wondered what she was trying to cover up. Due to the fact that he only ever showed such a simple application of his ability to Calista, he never thought it was too special, just a nice way to make a quick gift. Still, maybe it was a bit of a bigger deal than he had thought.

He watched as the girl looked down, absent of a blush. Sure she seemed slightly embarrassed, and more than a little pleased by his comments, but Darrian's attempts always ended up in more dramatic reactions. Maybe it was the type of girls that Darrian usually talked up, but then again what did that say about his sister? Deciding that it was Seth's incapability that had decided the girl's reaction, rather than inadvertently insulting his sister, Seth gave a smirk, as determination returned to him. So far, his experiment was amusing, and rather low on the stress as well.

completely forgetting to take into account what the other girl said, Seth reached out again, placing one finger against the girl's chin, and slowly applying pressure, tilting her head back up. He smiled in a way that Darrian had a few times before, just before a success. It was a bit of an arrogant smirk, displaying confidence more than anything else, but it was defiantly suitable for this situation. "Ah, ah, ah. I'd rather you keep those lovely blue eyes looking towards me."

He debated leaning in closer, before mentally shrugging at the thought. Even if he blew it, there would be no harm done. Standing up from his chair, and moving a little closer to the girl, so they were only a foot apart, Seth pressed her chin higher, so that she'd still be looking at his face, his eyes dancing with mirth. "I don't think I ever got your name though, but maybe a kiss would loosen those lips of yours?"

(Not satisfied, but beats just staring at the screen for ages)

Once again she was surprised at the sudden touch. Hmm maybe he had more experience than she first thought, that or he was just playing along rather well. She also noticed that he didn’t say anything to her comments not even the question about his name. Tsk tsk tsk… Bridget thought as he applied pressure to her chin. You should really listen to what the girl says. At least that’s what she liked, a guy that actually listened. But none the less she complied to the pressure and returned her gaze to him. “I think I’ll have more of an issue taking them off of you.” She said sweetly with another bat of her lashes.

Her blues eyes fallowed him as he slowly moved closer to her. Bridget’s own eyes lightened as he spoke again, “Maybe…” She closed the distance between them placing a hand on his shoulder. Standing on her toes she leaned closer lips brushing his cheeks before whispering in his ear. “But I don’t kiss on a first meetings.” She dropped back to her normal height flat on her feet as a smirk fell into place on her lips. Waiting only a moment or two before she took a step back and placed one hand on her hip. “But I will tell you my name.”

And I shouldn’t since you so clearly ignored my question about your name. Bridget thought looking him up and down. “The name’s Bridget, Bridget Shine.” Let’s try this again.. “May I ask for yours?” She wondered how he would change his game now. If he would drop the chase or get more determined and thing she was playing hard to get. It would just depend on his attitude for the game. She really hoped that he would continue to play this silly flirting game but she couldn’t stop it if he stopped.

Surprisingly, he still wasn't getting any reaction that he was expecting. Maybe his information was flawed and he had less of a grasp of how people usually react in such situations that he had previously believed. Ah well, that just means it was more important to continue in the current trend of actions to see what would happen. Research and all that.

Although, no longer focused on getting a single result, and rather paying attention to everything that was happening, he realized that the girl was throwing out compliments as well. Saying little things here and there that, if it came from Calista or Lilith, would leave him quite flushed. Still, this wasn't those two, but some random girl with quite the vibrant streak to her. She was amusing, like a tamer version of Chris.

Seth almost lost it when she kissed his cheek, it filled him with equal parts annoyance, and embarrassment. It wasn't an action he could say he was familiar with, or something that he actually wanted. The young man enjoyed his personal space after all, and having it invaded and taken advantage of rubbed him the wrong way. Still, grabbing onto that annoyance, he managed to fight back the blush before it managed to flourish over his face.

Seth closed his eyes, reminding himself, before he got annoyed and left, that this was all for the experiment, and because he needed to work on social interaction anyways. Chris had started calling him a robot, and when a zombie makes comments, something had to be done.

Giving a small chuckle, the alchemist figured that turnabout was fair game, and kissed the girl on her cheek as well, before pulling back with a warm smile on his face. "Seth Rosa. It's nice to meet you, Bridget."

This was all rather Funny. After all he had set up for a kiss but Bridget guessed he hadn't expected her kissing him. Then she wondered it he even was going to kiss her at all. Oh well you play and you learn. The annoyance was pretty clear when he closed his eyes after all which made it all the more fun for Bridget. She waited watching him carefully with a hand on her his and a small smirk on her face. Which then dropped the smirk for a smile smile and her arms hanging loosely at her sides when he opened his eyes again. 


 Now with all that he'd done with a simple kiss on his cheek she was quite surprised when he returned the favor. A hand rose to her cheek and her smile widened a bit. So she hadn't mad him do mad after all. Good the game was still playing. As he introduced himself a smile erupted on her face, could he be the Seth Zane had been talking about? Now thinking it was him it would be pretty funny to watch him go crazy. "Nice to meet you Seth but just to let you know most guys while flirting and introducing usually do a line off of their name or the girls." she laughed lightly and hopped up a table.


"At least that's what I've always found anyway. Just a tip when your doing this in the future." she didn't mention not getting annoyed when a girl kisses you on the cheek since that usually means its working. In most cases that was. Dropping the flirting act as she wanted to know a bit more about him she raised an eyebrow, "You are new to this right? The whole flirting game?" she hoped that giving him a tip didn't upset him as well but the again she wouldn't be all that surprised due to before... oh well he'd just have to deal with it.

Seth just frowned as he watched the experiment just collaspe. He would have to throw out all the data he had collected from this. She knew she was being observed, thus the data couldn't be trusted, it was a pain, but had to be done.

Slumping back down into his chair, Seth ran his sleeve along his face, wiping both his cheek and lips with the action. He looked back to the girl, running his tongue over his lips to make sure that no taste from the girl had remained on them.

He felt like glaring, but just grabbed his drawing pad, and drawing the girl again. A mischievous spirit, a manipulator, these feeling carried onto the paper, causing the girl to look a little darker, a little creepier, with puppets hanging on the background of it.

As he drew, Seth released a sigh. "There has never been much reason for me to, so yeah, I'm a bit inexperienced."

Watching quietly he seemed to be generally bummed that she commented. She guessed that he was going to be when she said that but hey if it helped in the future why not? But she did giggle slightly as he whipped his sleeve across his face and licked his lips. He was acting like a first grader who just got kissed. And it was rather funny since she wasn’t offended or anything of the sort after all she hadn’t been into him.

She was a bit surprised though when he started to draw her again. Her eyes trailed the paper as he drew a darker picture of her. Someone’s not happy… She thought smirking a bit. “Puppets? Really? Someone’s a bit more sensitive than I thought.” She raised an eyebrow to him before giving a small eye roll. Though as he spoke again it clicked just a bit more. So he had been almost experimenting on her. “Sorry to ruin your big plan. Why the sudden change in pace if I may ask.” There was sarcasm creeping through on the first sentence but the second she was dropped it and actually wanted to know. IT wasn’t every day that guys suddenly changed their pace to pick up a girl.

A bit more sensitive? Nah, that couldn't possible be true. Seth just had a look into Bridget's inner personality, and was drawing a representation of that. Sure it was probably a bit darker than he normal would, the dolls looked quite creepy too, but he was still a bit miffed about wasting his time and having his personal space invaded.

Still, robot versus zombie, he had to at least play nice. It wouldn't do to just ignore the girl, and avoid human interaction again. To do so would be to lose. Thus, he let out a small snort at calling his actions plans. It was demeaning, as this was science. Philistines could hardly ever understand.

"This sudden change in pace was your doing, so I have no idea why you wouldn't know the answer to that." He paused for a second, realizing that his annoyance was probably shining through at that moment, before coughing lightly into his hand, and putting down the drawing pad. "What I meant to say was that the 'plans' as you so put it, was disrupted by your actions, and there's hardly any point in carrying on."

He gave a small smile as he looked to the girl's eyes again, bothering to be somewhat courteous. "Besides, so far, you're just a pretty face. Why not tell me more about you?"

Just because she wasn't surprised by his annoyed tone didn't mean Bridget wasn't going to react to it. Rolling her eyes a putting in some of her own annoyance she stated, "I knew what you meant Im not stupid thank you very much." she looked away for a moment before turning her head back to him. "And that's not what I meant, I meant if you never needed flirting why the sudden desire to try it out." though she wanted wanted to add some sarcasm in there she thought it best not to do and plus what she said was true and didn't need any. Oh well it would just have to wait for another time. 

as he looked in her eyes she couldn't help but wonder if that was real curiosity behind them. Playing along with the question she shrugged, "Who says I'm not? After all here I just the new girl in school." Bridget didn't really like to talk about herself much or at least her past. But thinking about the look in his eyes as gave a real answer after a minute or so of thinking which was visible on her face. "Just your normal sarcastic, flirty teenage girl that likes to bend the rules," with that she tugged on the brim of her hat knowing full well it was against the dress code.

Changing the the topic slightly she raised an eyebrow towards Seth, "And you? So far your just experimenting with flirting. Not very much to go on." after all if he could ask then she could as well right? What's fair is fair after all.

This girl was quite demanding, asking questions and providing smart remarks to what he said. It was almost, almost reminisent of Amelia, a girl who managed to get her wish, and leave Ashford, though not in the way anyone intended. Shrugging off the thoughts of the girl from the past, and unwilling to try and get another Amelia as a tag along, Seth didn't rise to her biting comments, figuring that silence would be a better deterent to obtaining another pain, than actual speech.

Seth watched as the new girl, as stated by her, tried to pull off thinking. By how long it took, it must have been painful to think of another sentence to say. He couldn't help his smirk as his hand reached up and flicked at her hat. "This is a boarding school, you're not breaking any rules by wearing that hat, only in classes would you not be able to get away with it."

Seth outright laughed at her last comment. "Maybe that's all I do? Experiment."
